Great advice as usual.
Generally I prefer to 'rough it' and have a great time rather than playing the whole game or sticking to the usual script of the typical bar scene.
I'll definitely look into your suggestions. Yes YMMV indeed.
I'm sure I'll end up in a memorable situation as per usual and collect some new contacts along the way after a recent inventory.
_ Phil.

I really appreciate the feedback. It's not necessarily a budget per se. It's just what's worked for me multiple times recently and there's absolutely no need to have a mama or BF's involved in the transaction. Sure, not all have been ultra pretty, but they know their work and there has been quite a few hotties along the way too _ Phil.

I really appreciate the info. Yes, I'm basically 'tied' to the Freeport Zone due to business commitments, but I'll try and sneak out to have some fun. Not one really for the KTV scene but I always think outside the square. Quite a few years ago on my one and only trip to Subic and the FZ, the hotel security guys lined me up with some good talent _ Phil.

Have you considered Brill St, behind the Liberty bus terminal rather than the foreigner strip of Barretto? It is closer to where you are staying, a bit rough, but maybe more suited to an intrepid traveller like your self.
You're usual MO of friends of friends or even normal online is also easy to arrange and plentiful. I've found the bars good for drinking but a little lacking for pickups.
As usual YMMV.
Enjoy. Gg.

Hi Guys,
Just asking the question as it's been years since I visited Subic.
I'll be back there in March for work, and although my hotel in the Freeport Zone will be away from the action, I was just wondering if there are any BJ bars about like the few left in AC?
(My successful tactic in the past has been to pay 1000 p for a BJ and then befriend the girl and reward her away from work for other activities supplied).
And it's a great alternative to the whole BF situation. Usually works out at 2000 p a day plus meals for the girl.
Willing to travel by trike and report back as usual, so anywhere around Subic is fine _ Phil.

You can barfine in most bars in Barreto, except the pure bars such as Cheap Charlies. Even in Barcelona which is a sports bar I was told you could barfine for 10 ladies drinks (About 3 k).
I was there in November and paid 4 k and 5 k for LT. The average quality was low but you can find a few cuties. Many bars are closed on Mondays. The main road is a death trap and difficult to cross. I even barfined one girl and took her to Angeles for two days. Then her BF got her messenger and threatened to kill me if I went back to Barreto haha. Maybe he didnt know she worked in a bar?

Posts: 26I read in a website that barfine prices in Barrio Barreto are 2500. But upon RTFF it seems that this info is outdated? Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

For other's benefit, the bars of Bario Barretto form one long strip along the highway. Mangoes to Arizona is a long way. Certainly longer than I would comfortably walk. I normally just stay at one end or the other as there is enough to keep me occupied. There are trikes and jeepneys available but I typically prefer to walk everywhere unless I'm going into town.
Of late, I've stayed at The Pub and radiated out from there.
Enjoy. G.

Posts: 197Thanks for report as I'm just curious where did you stay in? And was all this walking distance from where you were?.
I plan to try out this area as seem uncomplictaed as in othe areas?
Thanks mate.
I went to Phils last two years. Went to Angeles in 2023 and then skipped Angeles for Subic in 2024. I liked Subic a lot more. I felt like it was more oriented to Americans. I liked the beach.

I do the busses not only because they're cheap, but you can mingle with the locals and quite often line up some local contacts.
As for leaving every hour, yes, but the departure times never seem to be what's posted online 'on the hour'.
Having said that, I generally get on a bus and they take off randomly and I never have to wait long before we're on the road.
A good way of seeing the country and mingling with the locals.
And I didn't even get offended on my last trip when I was asked by the conductor if I was a 'senior'.
(By the way, the whole conductor thing is amusing when they're punching tickets, assuming authority and trying to justify their jobs).

As far as the bar with live music, I'm guessing its the Queen Victoria.
