Subic (BB) can be cool if you like the more laid back vibe. Just curious, when were you there, was it recently?

The only comment with regards to the girls being from "The provinces" is that I think most of the girls there are local girls. But then again Subic is a province I guess.

As far as the bar with live music, I'm guessing its the Queen Victoria.

I was there in spring of 2024. The bargirls I met were from Samar and Mindanao, not local to Luzon. The mamasans use Facebook to find hot girls from all over the Philippines and bring them to work in the bars of Barrio Barreto. Had some great experiences with freelancers too. Much cheaper and higher quality than Manila. Yes, I think Queen Victoria was the bar with the music. Hops and Brews Beer Garden was the best restaurant. I can't wait to go back.

For other's benefit, the bars of Bario Barretto form one long strip along the highway. Mangoes to Arizona is a long way. Certainly longer than I would comfortably walk. I normally just stay at one end or the other as there is enough to keep me occupied. There are trikes and jeepneys available but I typically prefer to walk everywhere unless I'm going into town.

Of late, I've stayed at The Pub and radiated out from there.

I've been a big fan of busses this trip. It saved $$ compared to planes, leaves every hour so requires no preplanning. I suspect if you include check-in times, waiting times, stops in Cebu etc it's often actually faster door to door. I've often woken up, felt like a change and jumped on a bus to another town that morning. Very convenient.

I do the busses not only because they're cheap, but you can mingle with the locals and quite often line up some local contacts.

As for leaving every hour, yes, but the departure times never seem to be what's posted online 'on the hour'.

Having said that, I generally get on a bus and they take off randomly and I never have to wait long before we're on the road.

A good way of seeing the country and mingling with the locals.

And I didn't even get offended on my last trip when I was asked by the conductor if I was a 'senior'.

(By the way, the whole conductor thing is amusing when they're punching tickets, assuming authority and trying to justify their jobs).

Sure it is not the best beach, the water can be a little murky but it's not that bad (see the last pic). The wreck diving is awesome. The girls in the bars, I don't know what it is, maybe luck, but I had the time of my life with all the girls I met, more so than Angeles. All the freelancers and bar girls I had were amazing and it felt like there were more girls straight from the provinces. The American expats there seemed friendlier also. That is important when traveling solo. Massages were cheaper than anywhere else at $4 per hour. There was one bar down by Pub Hotel that had a great cover band that was playing all this 80's metal. I can't wait to go back.

By the way. Raw sewage goes into the ocean near beaches where people swim all over America too. Many sewage treatment plants get overwhelmed when it rains even a small amount. Sometimes signs get posted, sometimes not. This is not a third world issue, it happens in the first world too. Even treated sewage can still contain viruses and bacteria.

The US is a third world nation. By most first world standards, America is not a first world nation. No universal healthcare, gun violence everywhere, average income below the poverty line; it's only a first world country if you're part of the 1%.

I don't think actual first world nations like Singapore have sewage spills when it rains. You could probably smell it all the way to the PI if they did LOL.

Yuh, I have always had a good time in Subic. Got a regular girl (doesn't work in bar) there 19 years old, big tits, great body. But there is always others if you want.

Subic Bay is, well, a bay. 😀. And one that doesn't flush very well at the best of time so yes, vis petty crap. Funnily enough the best vis is actually inside the wrecks not playing around outside them. Some of the wrecks out side of the bay can be relatively clear but they start to get pretty deep.

Remember that the bus goes both ways. Many girls returning home from AC or Sabang / Batangas would be happy for a nice room for a stop over in Manila. Of course, you could be the baller and offer them a ride in your private car / taxi.

I discovered that on my first visit to the Phils years ago with the expectation that the Phils and the Subic area had all these beautiful beaches and islands. Subic is a fail when it comes to a beach.

And Kenji, I don't mind doing the bus trips as PC mentioned. They're cheap and I've actually met a few hotties riding on buses in the Phils. I recently met a girl on the bus heading out of the Buendia bus terminal in Manila on my way to Sabang. A cute little thing, probably about 30. She lives in Batangas, which is the transit point for fastcats and roros to Puerto Galera.

We swapped WhatsApp details and still keep in touch. Another to add to my contact list.

And with all the time spent getting to and waiting in airports, it's sometimes a better option to bus it, depending on where you're heading.

So the beaches in Subic may not be like the beaches in Boracay, but you know what they DO have there? Badass scuba diving. Sunken WWII ships and shit. Plus there's a swim up bar in the water there (in the right season). I bet the bitches love that. It'd be dope to cruise up to that with a jetski and leave with three chicks LOL.

After all the research, it seems the bus is the best option. I've resigned myself to spending probably a night in AC and another night in Manila so that I don't get stuck trying to rush waiting for a bus that won't show for hours. I sure has hell ain't trying to drive all over the PI.

On a side note, I've noticed a number of hotties on PL in Batangas. I might just have to stop there instead or possibly in addition, depending on how things go. I'm guessing most of them are uni students in that area.
