    InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit

Has anyone ever been to this hotel? https://www.agoda.com/partners/partn...6&hid=37462759 It's brand new and I was thinking to book it for my next stay. It's the new one not the older at Phloen Chit.

If you mean this hotel https://www.agoda.com/partners/partn...956&hid=165701 I was there 3 months ago. Close to Nana Plaza area (brief walk), big rooms with full size fridge, bed was cozy. Large balcony. Staff friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, you have 7/11, pharmacy, bars, pubs everything in about 2 mintues walk.

I may be wrong but closer to me means Soi 4- I seem to get hot when I walk too far in Bangkok.

Yes I got it now, sorry for the confusion bud! Now at least we're updated on the nana hotel, LOL! And very much like you dynasty inn was my go to for a long time before Covid, absolutely best people watching while sipping on a beer or a cocktail! Mattresses were hard for my liking, always had maid put 3 or so comfortable mattresses cover over!

And more quiet, if you can get a room at the backside.
The Dynasty Inn has two buildings: the first one is the so-called 'old building', which is facing Soi 4, and the second one is behind it and is called the 'new building' (although it's not really that new anymore). The rooms at the backside of the old building, and the rooms in the new building are the most quiet, although in the evening you will hear the thumping of the music in NEP.
Back in 2017 the rooms in the new building were nicer and less worn-out than most of the rooms in the old building. But they started renovating the old building around that time, so if they have continued doing that it should be better now.
It's a good budget hotel, and girl friendly. Just don't expect much comfort or luxury. The beds are rather hard for example.
There's also a Dynasty Inn in Pattaya, which is better (and newer) than the one in Bangkok IMO.
At $40 a night, it's a good option for the local sightseeing then by the sound of it, a step up from a ST dive hotel. I am lucky in that my employer puts me up in the Marriott for when it actually comes to sleep time.

    Thanks.

Hi, bud no I'm talking about nana hotel where the girls stand in front of, it's been mentioned many many times about the roach; problem in the hotel, even the new rooms had problem with from the very beginning, now if they cleaned the problem up recently (doubtful) well good for them! A real shame because of location and even their pool is nice for daytime relaxing, hope this helps, and to each their own, I'm just giving my experience!

If stay in one of the older rooms, easy just look in the seal on refrigerator door and you will see all different sizes of them run!

    10 days in Thailand: Hotels

Bangkok: Stayed at S15 and The Landmark. I would recommend both. S15 a bit cheaper with good central location in between Nana and cowboy. Landmark was much fancier and right next to nana plaza.

Pattaya: Stayed at Aya boutique hotel. It was good for bringing girls back since it's so close to walking street, but the hotel wasn't very nice. It looked better online IMO. Also did a night at the Arbour hotel which was much nicer, but sorta far from the action. Can't really recommend either.

All hotels were girl friendly. BTW I managed to snag some surprisingly good deals on last minute bookings, mostly through agoda. I am talking like 50-60% off on some of these rooms. Maybe I just got lucky.

Good luck if you don't mind sleeping with the roaches, look in the cracks of the refrigerator and you will see many, maybe good for some people but for me a no go!! Worked to hard in my life to settle for staying in a cockroach infested hotel! However if in need of a clean restroom in lobby while walking in the area if Great for that!! The restaurant in lobby also has lots of cockroaches even when you open the menu they come out! Very very sad but true, but the location is great LOL!!

I've found a good deal at Alt Hotel Nana, will report back soon. Looks right in the thick of the action and only $40.

It seems to have a good rating on booking.com etc, has anyone stayed there this year at all?
Just looking for a cheap Short stay base while mongering around Nana but I still want it to be relatively clean, comfortable, air-conditioned!
    Thanks.

Yes, it is the old Dream Hotel. Building #1 has breakfast while building #2 has the pool and gym. I didn't know there were free tuk tuk, but they are normally available on the street just outside building #1.
