Friday was drastically different from my first day. I was hell bent on picking a FL from br, so started the search from 7 pm. I couldn't find even a single one that fits my taste. Went to Bacara, had said few undisturbed drinks with some real hotties dancing in front. Saw one really hot chick, asked the waiter to call her, #101, she refused and went searching for a Japanese gentlemen. None of the good looking ones were keeping an eye contact with non Japanese / Korean gentlemen. I think only the second tier is open to others (second tier is still better than most gogos) but when you see tier 1,tier 2 hurts your ego. So got out and went to br again. Actually there was no change in the availability and girls were they where before and no one new joined. I am not sure if I missing something here. Came back to ws, went to happy agogo. A good looking girl came in to me and started talking. I was a bit irritated in the beginning as not getting disturbed was the USP of this place in my mind. So avoided her for some time. She didn't ask for lady drinks and was sitting next to me. Then I offered a drink and ended taking her for st. Her name was Anna. She was wearing an orange outfit yesterday. After I paid the entire 4 k to the bar, a couple of really hot tall girls came to the stage. So started the st journey with bit of regret. Anna wanted to hire a cab, so it was another 200 baht to Soi 10. Anna was good in bed all positions open with BBBJ. She wanted taxi money after the deed. Happily gave her 100 baht. So it overall 5 k affair to have a decent girl from happy. After this roamed around for sometime. As I was thinking of a second round, saw one very cute girl standing outside mandarin. Went and directly asked her whether she wants to sit with me. She was surprised and came with me. After seeing the talent inside I felt so relieved to have a girl predeceased with me. Her name was ice. She was very fluent in English but was dick scared. To be fair to her, she said this upfront. She was so much fun to ignore at that point so asked her for BF. She went asked the mamasan and came out for 3 k+1 k. Even after I offered to take a cab, she took me to the bhat bus area and took that. She was super smart and we had good connection. She was my first starfish in the last three years. I asked her whether she wants to stop and go as kept on saying that I have only 1 hour. She said that it will be a problem if the customer complains and became a little better than a starfish. Only missionary and send her away.

Planning to hit infinity and crazy house today. Saw some good chicks out infinity yesterday.

Reached Pattaya on a Thursday and hit WS in the evening by 8 pm. At that time it was not as busy or lively as remember from my March visit. I directly went to bacarra and decided to sit in the first floor. Bacarra first floor is one of the best places for me in Bangkok and I was expecting a similar vibe. But here that was clearly missing. None of the girls were standing out. But they were all pleasant to watch and I did kill 90 minutes in that place. By the time I came out WS was alive and kicking. I went to sapphire as I picked a sweety last time for there. This time I couldn't find anyone worth (worth the BF+St / LT) taking to room. Again had a good chat with couple of ladies and came out. After that went to happy agogo. Here it was crowded and the vibe was great. Girls were all overdressed but some of them were cute. All these have one thing in common and that it is no one will pester you for drinks. For me that is more important than vfm, nudity. I really want to relax a bit before I hit the more hardcore clubs. I went to couple of other gogo bars and came out after one drink after getting tired of lady drink negotiation. The one I hated the most was taboo. From the moment I walked in there were request from all corners and in that darkness I couldn't even understand from where. I didn't even sit for one drink here. I went in after seeing a couple of cute girls outside, but inside was all old ladies. Finally went to iron, my fav from the last trip. I was surprised to see that the quality was missing. There were couple of spinners in the tub having fun with punters but I was not given a chance to enjoy that as I was constantly pestered for drinks. Found one girl from my last trip and decided to settle with her for the night. Last time she was new and fun, but this time she wanted to me buy drinks for her friends, new waiter, mamasan and I don't know who all. She herself had three lds in 10 min! I took this as a bad omen and escaped. By now it was around 3, sensations was boring when I went in, hopefully as it was late (opening to go today) . One of my agenda was to pick a girl from a disco. Went to Lucifer, 808 and I bar, while there were some good chicks there, it was too loud and crowded for me. So that one is still unchecked on my to-do. Finally picked up a girl her way to a disco and had my nights quota of fun.

Picking up a FL from br was also a to-do, but quality on he was not great so didn't proceed.

Learning 1 If you are booking a condo unit for your stay, make sure you know the owner and you have personally checked out the unit in a previous trip

I booked an 8 day stay at City Garden Pattaya Condo through AirBnb. The pics looked good on the website and the reviews were positive. The person managing the booking was also very responsive and pleasant. They also offered a very relaxed cancellation policy. So I took it. When I arrived the manager welcomed me, showed me the unit and walked me through all the formalities. Frankly, I was far from impressed at the unit. It was shabbily maintained. The aircon in the bedroom was not working properly, there was dust all over the furniture, quite a few lights not working, creaky handles and knobs, a basin that was not scrubbed for weeks and a leaky water jet in the WC. The living room was sparsely furnished, a lumpy sofa with a rug thrown over it. A TV whose remote would not work. Just 2 pillows on the bed and a very thin mattress and an old duvet with a cover that had seen better days.

I decided I cannot let such poor accommodations ruin my trip, so I went online and found a good deal with LK Residence on Soi Diana. Called them, made my inquiries about the facilities and amenities and then booked it online. It was a snap. I cancelled the rest of my stay at City Garden and got a refund for 7 days. Well, at least the cancellation policy came good.

Learning 2 The more the merrier

In my past trips I have either mongered alone or I have been with a close friend (who isn't on this forum). And it's been fun. This time I had the honour and pleasure of meeting a few BMs on ground. Fortunately we got along pretty well and had some really memorable times.

We went around to nearly all places of interest. Gentlemen Clubs all over town, Discos, Beer Bar Complexes, Soi 6, etc. We even caught up for drinks and dinner on a couple of occasions. I had a great time and I would look forward to catching up with these gentlemen again. You know who you are. Thank you for everything!

Learning 3 There is something for everyone in this city at every possible price range. So dont complain. Find your segment and enjoy there. Live and let live. And this is the meaty part of the FR

Needless to say Beach Road offers the best VFM for budget mongers. Prices can vary from 500 to 1000 for ST. Sometimes a desperate lady might even take 1000 for LT. YMMV. This is a segment I strictly avoid. I have my reasons.

A lot of Freelancers have moved online and this is great VFM source as well. But I noticed on this visit that apps like WeChat and Badoo are full of ladyboys. However, I had good success with TF. Got 3ST's in my 8 days. MO is simple, Send interest and an introductory line asking for Line contact. Shift the conversation to Line and get the girl in your room in less than 2 hours. Paid each of them 1000 + 100/200 tip depending on quality of service. All 3 were in no hurry to leave and offered 2 shots over an extended 2 3 hour time period. I also got one on WS at 4. 30 am at a Pad Thai stall. I was leaving Insomnia after witnessing a sausage fest on one of the days and stopped for some grub. Saw this cutie at the stall and offered to buy her food for her. And we wound up in bed. I paid her 2500 though as she left by 1 pm the next day.

Next on the list for VFM for me will be Soi 6. Tons of girls here, some really cute ones too if you can snare them before other customers do. The place gets going later these days but you can drop by as early as 2 pm or 3 pm and cool off with a beer. You can even get a bottle of water if you please. I don't understand why no one has mentioned about the "no alcohol before 6 pm" rule being completely ignored. There is no compulsion to buy a lady drink. But it's a good idea to get the girl one drink, then you can inspect the goods before you decide to take her upstairs. Many of the girls here have significant body damage from excessive drinking, babies, etc. Almost everyone in the trade has tattoos these days. A small one is OK but ones that cover the entire arm, or back or leg can be quite repulsive. This is my taste. Yours might differ. Prices are the same as before 300 barfine + 1000 for the girl. I went out with 3 girls during my trip. All of them solid performers so I tipped them each 100. Tips are optional.

Newbie Tip: If you really like the girl and sense some chemistry do not hesitate to ask her for LT. With the change in operating hours here, a lot more girls on Soi 6 are open to LT.

The fourth spot for VFM goes to Gentlemen Clubs. Now there are several all over town. IMHO Heaven is the best of the lot, as drinks are cheap and you get free food for a bill over 300 baht. The girls are fun and the rooms are very good. They could change the damn sofa though in the main lounge area. I had one session here and it was just what the place says it is Heaven. Prices same as Soi 6. The Den has fantastic ambience, very comfortable interiors and a good pool table. But the ladies are quite rough and they charge more. Also, they do not have rooms onsite. Club Excite on the adjoining road can be a lot of fun too. The clubs on Soi Full Love Inn (Pirates, 007 and J Club) are a hit and miss as each of them have few girls and on a busy days you could find yourself nursing a drink alone. I had a total of 4 chicks from an assortment of these clubs. All of them very good in bed. Prices same as Soi 6. I also peeked into clubs like Velvet, Booze, Pacha, Kik and a few others. Entirely forgettable.

After this at number five comes the innumerable beer bar complexes all over town. My personal favourite is Simon Complex at the northern end of WS right opposite Annabelle. The girls are fun and much less hardened. 6 of my 8 nights I have picked LTs from here for 600 barfine and 2000 3000 for the girl. And only 1 turned out to be a dud, where I cut my losses and sent her away with 1500. I was also surprised to learn that some bars here have a differential barfine system 1000 before midnight 600 after. WTF.

The other Simon Complex at the South end of WS, just after Insomnia is completely dead. I will never go there again. On 5 of my 8 days I walked around to check it out. On each day at least 50% of the bars were shut. The other 50% had very scant attendance of only mature women. Ugghhh!

There is the beer garden just outside the start of WS on the North end where I spotted a couple of cuties. Likewise along Soi 7. Nothing on Soi 8. Nothing on Soi Made in Thailand. Drinking Street always holds promise but the one time I went there I had a girl in tow so I could not really assess the place. The music there really sucks though. Walked along Soi Buakhaow a couple of times but nothing caught my eye. Ducked in small lanes that had some bars, but to no avail. Checked out the small complex of bars on 2nd road near Soi 10, spotted just one cute girl who seemed totally engrossed in her phone. So this route can be very rewarding but it takes solid legwork and patience.

Some might argue that Discos like Insomnia and Lucifer offer the best picks and are great VFM. But the prospect of staying up till 4 am or 5 am to pick a drunk chick to bang is not my idea of fun or VFM. No judgement on those who do. More power to you. You have one monger less to compete with.

I did go to the discos on 5 nights out of 8 but each of those nights I already had a girl from Simon Complex in tow. So the time spent in the disco was just fun, no pressure of picking up anyone. But there are indeed some really hot chicks here and anyone who fancies the game should come here. IMHO for picking up chicks Lucifer is good between 1 am and 3 am while Insomnia really gets going after 3 am.

Next on the list of VFM options (now this is veering towards the steep side) are the semi-Gogo bars. These are bars like Papagayo, Shooters, Tim's Bar etc. They charge 1000 barfine and the girl can ask as much as 4000 LT. They usually settle for 3000. Perhaps some BMs can get them at lower prices, good on them for their bargaining skills. I went to Shooters but the place was packed and I left soon as I was feeling claustrophobic. I picked a girl from Lisa Bar near Korea Town up North on 2nd road. One of the best performers on this trip.

And finally worst VFM option are the Gogo Bars that Pattaya is so famous for. Now if you want to buy a couple of drinks, ogle at tons of naked girls, grope a really pretty chick and get a HJ (or even a BJ on a really slow night), all under 1000 baht then these places can be fun. I visited a good number of Gogo bars this time and had a lot of fun with the girls and bought them quite a few drinks.

There are differential barfines for ST and LT at some Gogo bars. Almost all of them have a time differential pricing that normalises after midnight. The quality of girls are clearly a notch or two above any other venue. Among these, Sensations on WS stands out as a jewel. On any given day at any given time you can walk in and rest assured to find at least 8 to 10 girls worth shagging. Bachelors on LK Metro was awesome fun too. Ninja usually has decent talent but the time I went they were quite sad. Paradise simply did not live up to the promise while Crystal, Office, and Champagne were lukewarm. I had crossed off Sugar Sugar, Destiny and Queen from my list after the last trip. On WS Fahrenheit, Ginza, are Baccara are worth peeping into. Also looked at Windmill, Electric Blue, Wildcats and Sugarbaby. I really wanted to look at Tantra and Runway, but could not find the motivation. I still think What's Up has the most gorgeous girls in all of Pattaya but the place is clearly out of my league. Someday I will have that 20 K baht to blow in one night and I will have a good time there. On that note maybe Sapphire too.

I did not bother looking at the massage shops along Soi Chaiyaphoom or Soi Honey or other random streets and corners. Neither did I visit the soapies. I simply do not fancy these places.

So in summary, I had another fabulous trip. Can't wait for the next one. Songkran 2018 here I come.

I am sure the bars will shut down on that day, but perhaps they might shut down for several days? Might the massage places be open? Might the BR FL girls be out? Should the Tinder girls be available? Will places like DD and Kinneree (sp) be open? In short, how will the mongering be in October on or around October 13? Will Walking Street be dead? For how long?

For a double whammy, I think the funeral will then be on Oct 26 or so. That could be huge in Bangkok with all the crowds!

I agree with BKKDog. The Thais have immense respect for His Majesty, the late King. But they still have to put food on the table. So I would bet on online being the prime source during these times.

You have asked many questions here about a subject that none knows the answer to. Why we don't know is simple. This is new territory for everyone. When the king passed, things were pretty much screws for a week but after that, it all went back to normal. My guess is 2 or 3 days at best for the Cremation. One thing I know about the Thais is they forget easlily. My hunch tells me most of the girls will stay in Pattaya and apps like We Chat and Thai Friendly will blow up with them searching for customers. There will still be ladies on BR. This is just my opinion mind you but I wouldn't change your flight unless your main reason for going to Patts is the alcohol.

First off thanks for all of the great content. Little hard to find through the moaning but what are ya going to do? I'll be in Patts for one week, 5-11 Sept. This is my first time and just out of a divorce! LOL Hope I survive!!

Anyways, I've read 100+ pages back and this is the plan. Budget volume vagina!

I have a place near soi 6 and a list of TF / Line contacts with prices for rainy days or last minute plans. I will.

Also be stalking BR. Two at once is definitely on the list, maybe DD for that. Soapies / oilies also on the list. Both spendie but hey.

My main question is my list of gogo joints. I know they change and are subject to taste. I am looking for raunchy action and rude behavior! The more naked the better! LOL. I won't be bar fining, lady drinks and tips only. Not looking for stunners. Attitude is king. Just looking for a good time.

Having stayed in Thailand for a few years, I can see almost none of the working girls in such roles since 2011 or so. Very few Thai-Chinese or even plausible middle-class looking among the working girls. Pattaya hookers are almost all from a few specific parts of Issan, and not even the average-to-better looking Issan girls. These days, "top-tier" in Pattaya means nothing more than early 20's and reasonably slim.

Among the Pattaya working girls, it's more of a "who looks interesting enough and strikes my fancy (even if she's not every man's cup of tea)", rather than "wow, she's objectively top-tier, got to have her". None of the working girls in Pattaya would be the top looker within a single BTS carriage on a normal day (maybe on that last train which happens to have 4 people per carriage, 3 of them guys).

Top tier working girl!= Top tier girl. Big difference. Also. I don't care about Asian racism. A pretty girl is a pretty girl. I feel from a western perspective; many in the Pattaya FKK clubs meet the requirement I proposed.

I agree that there are few to no real stunners. I think Soi Cowboy has stunners; but I can't stand Bangkok for more than one night. Maybe my next trip.
