Here is an article from the New England Journal of Medicine.
Aerosol and Surface Stability of SARS-CoV-2 as Compared with SARS-CoV-1.

Here is another article. I can't find the medical article for this piece of information. I had seen it yesterday.
You may be able to spread coronavirus just by breathing, new report finds.

Please stay home everyone and keep Thailand safe. The less people moving around will keep the curve low. It has gotten dire in America. Personal friends in NYC say it is awful.
Wear a mask!! At least you have them in Thailand.

The Chonburi Governor has announced a further list of closures effective immediately. First on the list is "all hotels" including similar businesses such as guesthouses and bed & breakfasts. There is an exception "If a hotel still has guests, they must inform the local jurisdiction office within three business days or if they wish to stay open for current guests. ".
The article states that the local hotel association had pushed for the closure order as staff were not entitled to Social Security benefits if hotels shut without a Government order (e. G. Due to low occupancy levels). Unsaid is the wish to prevent an influx of people seeking to escape areas where the virus is more widespread (particularly Phuket and Bangkok), thus bringing possible infection with them to a province where incidence has been mercifully low thus far.
My hotel informs me that they are making the application to remain open for existing guests, but one of the conditions will be no new bookings or check-ins.
For anyone, like me, holed up in a Pattaya (or elsewhere in Chonburi Province) hotel I STRONGLY recommend that you check the situation with your hotel management. I mean Management, the Receptionist may not be aware of the situation. Also ask that they keep you updated on developments and check with them regularly.
Establishments with low occupancy may seize the chance to close and lay off staff because it is more economical to do so than staying open for few guests, turfing remaining customers out at just the time when none of the hotels remaining are allowed to take them in.
Other closures include all beaches and tattoo / body piercing parlours. I guess I shall have to wait a while to get my Prince Albert done!

I remember one of my friend's wife she was diagnosed with a brain tumor her mother told her there was this Chinese medicine that helped with a friend of a friend so she tried it thereafter she got sick it was determined it had toxin that damaged her liver so she had to hold off on the surgery luckily things turn out okay On a closer note, my Thai wife coming off cancer treatment years back purchased the " magic mushroom " bullshit from China being sold in a local market near the house I remember that stuff being touted in the USA In the Chinese community in the late 80's the FDA put an end to that shit ASAP. I was just returning from a visit to the USA When I return saw she was sick as a dog thought relapse but found out she drank the stuff and took ill immediately. Not going to tell you what I did to the vendor who sold it.
Today even with the Internet the youth of Thailand seem no better zero critical thinking I see it in my daughter-in-law who is academically smart but socially stupid as they come. The more time my son spends with her the more he is becoming like her. Everything is brand name you see on T.V. or the Internet can't think for themselves follow like dogs and monkeys. Sure I too have people in my circle the difference how I see it is they had the opportunity of critical thinking taught to them they choose not to use it because they can't get past their ego and old age stubbornness even with that said you can at least sit and lay into them for being stupid Thais don't have the privilege they have been brainwashed " the more patriotic the more stupid " which translate into the excuse they love to use " this is thailand " you can't even have a simple conversation without them losing face once that happens they just shut down they go through life without criticism as we know that is how you learn at times.
Yes, today it is only pain before it was worse close to hate but I realized one day I couldn't continue feeling and doing what I was doing if something had happened to me there wasn't going to be anyone to raise my son so I had to reinvent myself leave my ego at the border and if that meant kissing some ass to make it happen I would. It hasn't been easy but things are better today but the pain is pushed down and expressed here at times. Funny on some other threads my words and feeling are considered bashing of Thais I wish there were more positive than negatives and I wish what I've gone through and experience no one will ever have to experience themselves. The reason my brother and others keep telling me I should write a book but as you can see that isn't going to happen.
I've tried many times to write some of my experiences here in Thailand it becomes so long never have enough time and don't know how to save it get timed out and it all gets erased.

At best they are grasping for straws the best I can say is they are trying that trying is filled with inconsistency! I live on the Darkside and what is being mandated is like day and night how it is applied in town. The last week more and more temperature checks since I travel on a motorbike by the time I get to a place like Big see extra I'm thinking I must be overheating sweating like a pig with all the talk about Virus half the time I feel sick? I get in line check my temperature one day I was like 34, I was thinking I'm fucking dead? The readings are all over the place and the checking is inconsistent at best they decided to use one entrance while the others are wide open. Just last week a lady was in front of me she was over the standard the lady just turn her away. I ask the lady isn't there something in place for this you can't just let her walk away she looked at me with disgust! I seriously doubt any of these checkers have any training or idea as to what to do? Personally, I haven't seen anything as to who to call where to actually go if you think you might have it, on paper, it all looks good but in real practice?
A month ago a big bottle of gel at Facino it was 85 baht for a time you couldn't even get one if you did it was 300 baht, last week locally on the Darkside there was a run on eggs and pork, locally market vendor were charging double. Today, I went by the market to walk around looking for dinner, they must have gotten a huge shipment the free illegal market is in full effect. Many of the booths were selling masks, never seen so many being available you can now get them with Nike, UnderAmor, Addidas logos many others were selling fashionable ones you can now make a fashion statement? When it came to Alcohol hand gels bottles line up everywhere if you have 280-290 baht. There is no shortage today but whether they are up to standard it is anyone's guess.
Cross your fingers people have mercy!

Posts: 48I've been told via Line by one Lady I met in NEP that she has covid19. Says she came down with it 10 days ago now, which is a bit over a week since I left BKK and I haven't had any symptoms. Not much more detail other than she's getting better slowly.
Don't know if for real, hypochondriac or fishing for sympathy moneys.

Yesterday an asshole (not Thai) took me to task in the elevator. He bursted out "ever heard of Corona!?", pointing at the zombie mask plastered over his ugly face. Moron!
The holier-than-you-you're-infecting-me attitude goes up a notch with every day that goes by. I hope the government here sticks to their single digit dead count.

I also went to FoodLand Supermarket today and they made me buy a mask for 25 baht before they would let me in. Went to KFC today and it was also required to wear a mask to enter there, while the cashier did not have hers on.

Restaurants only allowed as take-away only as of today. Some restaurants go on serving seated customers behind closed doors. Entrance through back door. Apparently it is legal for customers to be seated upstairs (as opposed to on the ground floor). Viruses are not supposed to climb stairs. I don't find this game of hide-and-seek with regulations shocking. On the contrary.
