Hey no worries...I think you're good to go.

Just bring (or have available by way of ATM), a decent amount of money to go with your troubles. It's all good, as having money will (in most cases) solve your P4P dilemmas, whatever the difficulty.

As mentioned, during Carnival time/days, is probably not the best time for mongering. Most businesses tend to shutdown around and over the 4-day period, and a modicum of girls, tend to want to head back home (to wherever) and party with friends and family. That said, there still remains a modest P4P scene around Copa and Centro, if you know where to look. (Note: Things do slowly go back to normal just after Carnival.)

But if you're also very much interested with, taking in the Brazilian culture, food, music, dance (Samba), sights and the arts, then visiting Rio during Carnival time is a good time, and is a great idea. As also mentioned, things will be a tad more expensive, if not slightly more chaotic.

So depending on how you deal with large crowds, large events and boisterous, lively and very colorful sexy people, set the level of your plans (and expectations) accordingly w/r to visiting during Carnival. Similar considerations should also be given, if planning to visit during Christmas and New Years.

The best time to be in Rio is right AFTER carnival, as prices go down by 50% on everythng, pussy, shelter, etc.

Right now, prices are ramping up, and the locals have ohlas grandes, which I am resisting unsuccessfully.

The problem is that the weather is questionable after Carnival. It can be cool and rainy, which means no beach.

As mentioned countless times the carnival is the worst time for P4 P. No worries, in carnival the regular girls give are on the hunt for overweight gringos. The carnival is in February, there is still time to loose some kilograms.

Moreover, as to health, I highly suggest both going to in person and ordering on ifood etc from hortifruti. Especially soups and salads.

Best restaurant in rio IMHO is:

Casuarina, corner of glauco gil and the beach in recreio.

Ceasar salad with the parmesan bucket is to die for! Salmao na brasa top!

At my advanced age of 93, good diet becomes important. My swiss grandfather lived to 94.

Brazilian food is great. You can have acai or natural fruit drinks on every other corner for 3 dollars. Seafood is amazing. Go to Shirley's Seafood restaurant and tell me Brazilian food sucks. Pizza is really good when cooked in real oven, not electric oven.

You know what food sucks? Phillipines. I've had it in America and it's awful. Max's restaurants should all be bankrupt. Jollibee other than their spicy chicken is a horror show. Worst food ever. I can go on and on.

I think Brazil is final major monger destination I have yet to visit. So I dug deep to make sure I'm not a total john snow.

One thing that I noticed is that the termas are often compared to FKKs but I have yet to see anyone compare them to this massive spot in Jakarta that operates the same way. I forget the name. And dunno if its even still around with all Indonesia has been going thru. When I went a while back the place had maybe 50-70 girls per floor. Same deal. You choose a girl, session, repeat.

Been visiting Rio since 2012 . Never been to VM and don't ever plan on going. To each his own.

Food is good but gets repetitive real quick — you will understand once you are in Rio.

You're talking about the country that invented pagpag (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagpag) - of course their food is (literally) garbage. Their women are ugly af in my opinion too. Like 1 in 100 Filipinas will be stunning but the rest look like goblins.
