Casarao has come a long way since I visited a few months ago, rooms are nicer and renovated with Bluetooth tablet controlling Ac and music with built in wall speakers. ATMs were more accessible in Colombia.

The question of Colombia vs Sao Paulo gets asked occasionally on the forums. I've also asked the question before coming to here, so I think it's helpful to add one more voice to the conversation. I'll also limit this comparison between Medellin and Sao Paulo since they're a better direct comparison IMO than Bogota vs Sao Paulo.

The last two weeks I've tried to get as many data points in this city as possible, but it is still a newbie impression. All prices are standardized on 1 HR BBFS outcall to my apartment.

Mid-range: prices in the mid-range vs Medellin is fairly similar. Last year I was paying 350 k for an FB girl. In SP I was paying between 500-800 reals. The rise in COP vs USD killed Medellin's value somewhat this year. The quality at the mid-range is fairly similar as well, with one notable exception. No city really stands out for me.

Low-end: The low end is where Colombia has its biggest advantage over Brazil. This is mostly because of the Venezuelans working the streets in Colombia. There are some good looking girls available for 120-150 k COP in Plaza Botero or Santa Fe whereas I found most of the streetwalkers and predio girls I saw in SP to be undoable.

High-end: I haven't been to La Isla in Medellin but other board members say that there's no comparison in Latin America to Scandallo. The prices are also higher at the top end. Adding club fees like cover, mandatory consumables, exit or room fees, one BBFS session can easily cost $600 or more at Scan. However, there were girls I saw in Scandallo, and also Gauguin, that were super hot, hotter than any working girl I've seen in Medellin or Bogota.

Girl variety: Mestizo, black, and brown girls can be found in both countries easily. White girls are harder but not impossible to find in Colombia, whereas they're a more common in Sao Paulo. Food: Food options in SP is amazing. Bogota is a couple of steps behind whereas Medellin is a couple of steps behind Bogota. I might be wrong but food delivery seems more complicated for foreigners in SP since a lot of online services want CPFs or Brazilian phone numbers. I had a US plan with roaming so I couldn't get iFood inside the Uber app to work for example. I'll try to get the regular iFood app or 99 to work next time.

Safety: there's a real risk of getting drugged and robbed in Medellin. Girls specifically target foreigners in that city. Petty crime is common. Flight time: Add 10 hours more round trip for SP vs either of the two major cities in Colombia. Therefore less US weekend warriors in SP.

Overall, I think SP is definitely worth checking out at least once as long as you have time and money.

Nope I'm back in the US now. I'll write up my final thoughts as a comparison between Colombia and Brazil, but in short, I enjoyed it and I think people need to go at least once and see if it's for them.
