Well, looks like the crackdown is spreading. Last week I was able to check out bangkokescort and mythaitourguide from home, but after arriving in Bangkok neither site is working. Smooci is fine, but some of the girls I already know from the two sites don't advertise on smooci so there is no way to find them now. At least not on short notice, I'll have to do some digging around to see if there are alternative means.

There has been a change in the stance of local law enforcement. They are clamping down on escort agencies and made it clear to us we need to stop allowing agencies to advertise.

We are starting to remove agencies in Bangkok and allow independents. Most agencies bookings won't go through during this time. We apologise for this.

Thank you, this is certainly a welcome update. It always feels different for the punter (at least me), to have independents (probably with reviews) than regular escort service. Smooci was broken or offline for a couple of days last week, which I found out only after two bookings didn't turn up!! The first time I thought it was an innocent mistake as it was the middle of the day, but I contacted them when it happened the 2nd time and they admitted there was an issue and bookings weren't going through to the agencies correctly. They said it would be a few days to sort out, and they gave me a refund of my subscription.
