Am I right in thinking Haven is the nicest hotel in Medellin?

I wouldn't say it's the nicest in all of MDE. BUT, it's my go-to every time I'm there and I'd recommend it. Only time I’ve stayed anywhere else was Airbnb in Laureles and I don’t do that shit solo - scop. Was just there and will be there again in April. Unless you're banging multiples every day, you won't run into the guest fee. And ymmv with the front desk in that regard. Be nice. You wont have any issue. I love the balance of security, rooftop, pretty decent breakfast and nice food/drinks, nicer digs, and proximity that it has. But I usually find 1 or 2 chicas I like and rotate, or call my regulars.

My realtor friend has said the last 2 months have been her worst. Gringos are not feeling welcome anymore in Medellin. Gringos are being branded as "evil sex tourists" by the mayor.

What does that mean in practical terms?

Hotel Nutibara: assuming I book a room for 2 persons, is the hotel guest friendly? Or is it a hassle to bring a lady into the hotel?

I've never stayed there, but there are numerous reports in this forum from people who have stayed there that say it is guest friendly. Some say there is a fee a night, but no fee during the day. I don't recall what time the fee starts, but I think it may be 6 pm.

I can confirm the Ibiza suites are fantastic, had a party in the Soho it last year, myself another guy & 5 girls, a wild great night. Soho is 1 category below Brutal.

I did a birthday party for myself in Brutal with 4 girls & it was another wild night.

Probably the highest quality suites around Medellin.

This was an agreement made between Airbnb and the government, mainly the city, when they were cracking down on prostitution related problems in the last year or so. What to make of it?

They don't want Airbnb hosts to allow guests to see prostitutes in their places, and failure to enforce this means they get kicked off Airbnb.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? And what is the guest policy? I've been considering to pick this hotel as it is conveniently located at El tesoro Centro comercial And they have rooftop pool.

Europa suites is so solid. I've stayed there 2 different times. So convenient. Only complaint is I don't think they have a pool.

How bad is the noise from the street at Europa? Seems right in the middle of the action.

I am looking for the best girl friendly hotel near parque lleras. Budget is not an issue. The higher end it is, the better it is for me. I reached out to Marquee. And they flat out refused having girls over.

So, I am considering either Haven or Europa Suites. Any experiences on those? Also, what else will you recommend?

Haven has a guest fee policy apparently I. E. 120 mil colombian pesos after the first guest per day. That might quickly add up for me as I think I will usually want to see atleast 3 different girls every day. Europa suites doesn't have such a policy. But, for some reason the reviews on google on europa suites seem fake to me. There are no reviews on any other platform (tripadvisor or facebook etc.).

So I cannot have guests over at the place I rented? Sounds like I won't be using Airbnb. Regardless of plans with guest, this reeks of Airbnb covering their ass in name of good PR while in reality doing literally nothing to address the statements intent.

There are a lot of nosey busy bodies in Medellin who like to cause problems for any foreigner with a young Latina. IMO, most of the hosts will not want to take the risks of being reported.

Here's a statement from that Airbnb post: "If the platform is informed in the future that any host is permissive of sex work during reservations on Airbnb, Airbnb will strictly enforce its policies and take action against those hosts.".
