Well of the 3 bars I visited this was the worst for talent and crowds, ugly girls and not many customers. The good thing is that they have great air conditioning and it's a good place to cool off. I hadn't been since the new year and it looks like they have new shiny seats. I liked the look but they need better girls.

Tropical hit its prime years during the covid shut down, the hotel on lower level was better than the current club, then they moved it upstairs another level or two and it was great. Different rooms tons seating tons men and woman. Basically it was the best speakeasy of the speakeasys. I miss all the speakeasys even Gloria bar was this cramped room where everyone was kinda hanging out together like in a college dorm.

Totally agree. Almost impossible to develop a normal relationship with a working girl in Tijuana unless you're willing to make a TON of sacrifices. I've tried and learned the hard way. I developed a strong and very close relationship with a working HK girl. But deep down I knew I could never do anything long term and that at some point we would have a nasty break up be / see I wasn't willing to cement it into a formal public relationship like a marriage or something be / see I saw a lot of potential problems of marrying a Tijuana hooker (many ramifications socially, professionally, etc). I also began to feel quite uncomfortable being in public with her out of fear that I'd bump into people I knew or knowing that all the mexican people around us in normal locations knew that it was odd to see an ugly bloke like me with a super hot woman that was clearly out of my league to the point that I wouldn't be surpirsed if people thought I was carrying around an escort. The biggest setback to maintaining anything longterm with a working girl is the cost; I was hemorrhaging so much money be / see she expected financial support for her kids, family and all her monthly expenses. That was not sustainable to me. It was a financial hemorrhage that was a very stupid thing to do in retrospect. .

It all boils down to money. At HK they make a lot of money fast. And they get used to that level of living. But they spend it fast. And if you opt to support her that pressure falls on you. The allure of beautiful women is strong my dudes, and it has a high price. But historically beautiful women have been expensive!

I understand your frustration with new rules but as things get back to normal I don't blame them for trying to enforce new rules and make money. As a business they give large discounts on the hotel rooms Mon and Tues to hopefully bring in guys on what is normally the slowest days. So they figure if you have a room you will more than likely be down in the bar drinking and buying girls drinks and other things with the girls that make it advantageous for girls to work on what are slow days.

So if you get a cheap room and do none of those things and on top of it you bring a working girl to see you on her day off it does them or the girls working no good. I could understand how the girls that are working would get mad and complain to management that they are working but the customers are bringing in competition and they are losing out on clients. Even though you wouldn't spend time with these girls anyways they don't see it that way.

I personally hate staying in the Zona and I understand the cheap room but you can find other places just as cheap in Tijuana if this becomes more of an issue in the future.

Pretty much every time we stay at Rizo overnight we spend some time in Tropical tipping girls and ordering drinks. Only reason we didn't do it this time was because my girl didn't want to bump into that new security guy again hoping to stay out of sight / out of mind. Nobody had ever given us shit about her staying with me. I even thought she was trying to prank me at first. Hopefully it's a one time thing.

I've never understood why stay in the Zona if the girl isn't working. In my younger days it was so much better to just pay a $20 bar fine and take the girl to regular bars in Tijuana or to Rosarito.

All this hotels associated with HK are a part of HK. There's so many rules now its important to view that hotel, if paying for a night, as you don't have any rights to that hotel like you do normally with a hotel. The hotel is like staying at a friend's house. There's gona be a lot rules and people watching you. I stopped going to HK hotel because just walking in my backpack had to be gone through and I don't like my clothes touched pillow cover touched etc. And the claustrophobia of no window. When I wake up in my revolucion hotels I feel happy refreshed, I walk outside to the Cafe. If I'm not racing back to San Diego which I usually am. When I woke up in Zona Norte I felt like I was waking up in a bad dream very depressing.

Yep. Agree with the poster. So much more realistic to have a nonputa girlfriend. Granted it's almost 100% certain they won't be as hot as the HK girl, they at least will be someone you can comfortably have a long term relationship with.
