Available on many street corners. And even the Pot sellers will walk up to you and pitch their LOW THC buds. So IMO it is easily available but the quality is shit as they can't have much THC in thier buds. Just my opinion.

It's everywhere, when I say everywhere I mean it their are shops now on almost every Conner, recently last week they stopped allowing you to smoke it in the shops but other then that it's available!

Who knows what the situation will be like in January, you can check the day before your flight to find out, but at the moment there are weed shops all over BKK & Pattaya and it is as easy to buy weed as it is to buy mango sticky rice.

Yikes, grilled fish 140-160 Baht with all the trimmings in my neighborhood. Rents must be out of sight in Chatuchak these days. That's a mighty big surcharge.

There are so many great local markets it makes sense for even a tourist to experience the real thing, which Chatuchak (and the Train market up in Hwaii Kwang) are not, being geared primarily for tourists.

Jump on the skytrain, get off at Pak Nam, and hit the seafood market. Or grab the SRT train at Talat Plu Market (off the BTS) and head down to Maha Chai.

My advice to every visitor is to see the sights, but head off the beaten path for real fun.

My further advice for longer stay travelers IE 90 days or more is live outside of the tourist districts. Your 35 K baht condo in Asoke is 11 K across the river.

For my upcoming trip I think I'm either going to be in Bang Sue, or Thonburi again.

Chatuchak Market is slowly losing it's charm. It used to be my hangout place few times in every trip but things have become more tourist oriented and service standard has come down drastically, for example if you buy a whole Griller Fish (Pa Ping in Thai), it used to cost ฿230-250. The fish used to come with free white noodles & the green veggie stuff (Phak / Fak in Thai) but now there is no free noodle or veggie stuff. You must buy them separately and the grilled fish price also has gone up to. I understand price rise is because of inflation but overall it's not like old Chatuchak market. But yes you should visit the market for experience and probably buy some souvenirs but there are better places to do shopping if you don't mind.

I would suggest anyone to try "Patthavikorn Market", this place has mostly 2nd hand items but in very good condition and the prices are damn cheap like starting from.
