Fresh passports are always scrutinized by immigration for obvious reasons. Fakes are usually new and used once. Old passports with multiple stamps, visas, and worn pages have obviously already been scrutinized by many an immigration officer and embassy. She's just doing her job as she was trained to do. Nothing to do with your nationality, whether you are shaved or how you are dressed. BTW you should always remove hats when walking through customs or immigration, not because you look shady, but because there are overhead cameras that need to capture your face clearly at these gateways. It has been a while I wrote in this forum. The last time I was in Bangkok, I experienced a couple of setbacks and I almost felt that I should probably take Bangkok out of my list of mongering destinations.

I never experienced it first-hand before but the last time it kinda affirmed that being an Indian in Thailand is a customary second-class treatment. I am a proud Indian-American, but in Thailand I felt like I get judged for affordability for few $10 drinks. I was stopped while entering in Levels night club around 1 am with a justification that the club is full, but then a white security desk guy came running from the desk and told the Thai security guys who stopped me at the entrance that I am good to go because he knew me from the previous night. I never experienced this before so I obviously took it personally, I was speechless. I walked out of there even though they told me they were sorry. I walked to Havana Social at 1:30 am when they were about to close 2 am, I saw few Europeans at the entrance haggling at the entrance as it was 30 minutes remnant and they were not pleased to pay 400 bhat each. I spent the next 30 minutes there and picked up a cute 24 year old for the night.

While flying out, at the Bangkok airport customs, a white guy told me "you are not supposed to cut the line". I may have engulfed in my phone texting that I may have swayed from my intended line. But the prejudiced notion in the mind of that person to think it was intentional and that he need to remind me was interesting to say the least. Back in America, I would have never received prejudices like that.

I like Bangkok, I even got in touch with a real-estate agent and saw few properties, a Condo so I can spend a month or two a year there but I am contemplating now. I almost finalized a Condo in Ashton behind Terminal 21 but after this Levels incident I don't know if I can live in Bangkok proudly.

Hello fellow mongers, I have arrived in Bangkok but my very first time here as a 22 year old 7 years ago truly opened my eyes LOL.

It seems the scene has changed since I've last been here and now everyone is clamoring over the tall, pale skinned East Asian look for their choice of WG. I would've went to China, Korea, Japan, heck even Taiwan to get that itch scratched not Bangkok.

Do any vets know of any areas or spots where I can find the true natural resource of Thailand? Ie. Isaan farm / rural girls, (Laos Myanmar or Cambodian works too), petite, super short, preferably no tatts. Not concerned on price or location, if those girls are supplied at where locals frequent, I'll take my chances.

And please don't tell me to travel outside of Bangkok, I'm currently residing here with the Missus and I can't really explain an impromptu trip to somewhere far.

So I alternated my 5 day stay in BKK with visits to Tulip & Doki Doki.

There was a recent case in the Thai news of an Indian tourist that was glueing pages of his passport together to hide his trips to Thailand from his wife. Thai immigration discovered it on the Indian tourist's recent trip and it went viral in the news.

So this immigration agent was obviously trying to see if you had any pages glued. LOL.

He was lucky he got arrested at Mumbai airport in India. At least he is in his own home country. Had it been Bangkok, It would have not worked out so well for him.

Just visited Bangkok last week. Had a wonderful 1 week stay. Apologies on the last couple of posts which were just for fun.

Anyway when I arrived at BKK airport what was strange though was the lady immigration officer examining my passport very minutely, rubbing her fingers along the cover, feeling the pages, looking through the pages for a good 3-4 minutes before handing over my passport back to me. She gave it one last look even after stamping it! I come from the sub continent however I'm clean cut and dressed very neatly. Not sure if it was the base ball cap I was wearing caused this. It was a relatively new passport though with only one entry and exit stamp to Thailand from my previous visit but nonetheless it is a genuine passport.

Apart from this incident my forays took me to Tulip and doki doki mostly. Had a couple of legit massages at Ps Thai Massage shop. Amazing professional massages. Stayed at sukhumvit soi 4 . Had an amazing time! In the mornings I did manage to squeeze in sometime for visits to Siam Paragon, MBK mall and visited a couple of nice restaurants around town. BKK has a definitely vibrant feel to it than any boring Indian city.

Definitely looking forward to coming back soon.

The only passport hassles in 50 years for me was entering Thailand wth a temporary passport. Added three minutes to my journey. They got a touch confused over it.
