Mosquito net over the bed is good solution if you have aircondition. However, if you are in cheaper apartments like I am always, there is only fan making air move. With mosquito net, air is not moving and then it is get so swetty that you can't sleep. So I ask to remove mosquito net usually. Also, mosquito nets have often mansized holes in them, apartment owners and hotels don't buy new nets if somebody breaks them, which happens easily. Air flow from fan prevents mosquitos a little bit.
Pants in the club is good solution, prevents mosquitos for biting. However it can be hot sometimes. I myself carry small green plastic bottle that has mosquito repellent, in lower pocket in my shorts. If I start to feel itsching, I put that to my legs, it helps for a few hours. It is odourless. You can buy it from Carrefour at least.
Now there is not so much mosquitos yet. But rainy season is near, I guess in Nairobi it is raining already. By the way, I have met mosquitos as much in Nairobi as in Mombasa, they are everywhere.
In Mombasa area, I think Ramadan is affecting now, making things quiet, local people don't go out so much. Two more weeks.

Is this *****house in Mombasa? Can you share information?
Pam Breeze Apartments on 3rd Ave behind CityMall in Mombasa. Apartment B101.
When I went alone there were like 5 chicks. The chick that I came to see wanted to use oil for the massage portion but I did not want her to. She was confused and said she could not do it without the oil. I finally gave in to the and quickly found out it was actually a body to body massage. That shit was great. After we fucked she told me to come take a shower. About half liter of water trickled out. She said the guy must did not pump the water up? And she kept apologizing. I jokingly told her now you see why I didn't want all that damn oil? I was there 2 hours from 11 pm to 1 am. They are open 24/7.
When me and my dad went back the next day there were like 10 or 11 chicks. I do no understand the neighbors not complaining with music blasting from the place at all times of night.
So the girl I hit the first day made me pay a 1 k commission for the girl my dad got and the girl I got talking about because it was her ad. I said yeah that makes sense the first time, but after I already know about the place why should I be paying and extra 1 k for each chick taken.
I chose the chick that day because of her natural hair (she was fine as fuck too). I have a phobia of that fake hair shit. She did have fake eyelashes, but I made her take that BS off. Great time with her too!
P.S. They try to start at 7 K, but will easily go down to 3 K. When I was there the first night a guy called trying to get it for 500, talking about his dick is small. I was dying. She said the price is not dependent on the size of your dick. I was like damn, this mf is cheaper than me! She hung up on him, but he called back again. I told her next time he calls I am going to answer and cuss him the fuck out. Who calls these days anyway? I thought everybody only messages on whatsapp.

OK, I got a mosquito net, but these bastards were already hiding under the bed, and it took some time for me to recognize that they (asian tiger mosquite, Aedes albopictus and yellow fever mosquito Aedes aegypti ) were already within the mosquito net. The name "Chikungunya" means: "the buckled one walking" this name explains everything !!!

Don't scare the poor fellow. LOL. I never heard of malaria cases in Mombasa either. In Dar es Salaam yes. Upcountry around Lake Victoria yes. If you got it a few times like most Africans it's like the common flu. Doesn't kill you outright. Dengue yes. That exists but I never heard it being widespread. The difference is Tiger mosquitos are also active during the day. Friend of mine spent 6 days on the dripper hospitalized for dengue. Set him back 600 $ in Aga Khan. For someone who's afraid of tropical disease. Best stay at home and watch National Geographic TV.
Mwalimu.
Who avails himself still to the balmy climate of Madagascars high central plateau. Zero malaria there. But. Typhoid Plague Cholera STDs LOL.

Edward. Forget Malaria, Mombasa is low risk. Cover up, sleep under a net. Use anti malarials if you wish. You won't get Malaria. In 20 odd years I have had hundreds of bites but never got it.
Women. Ffs just go out and chat to anyone woman you see. 90% will respond. Take them for a soda / coffee tell them what you want. Most will respond.
Never compare different countries, they are after all. Different countries.
You are safe walking around as I guess you are Nyali, Bamburi or Mtwapa. Tourist are 99 % safe in Mombasa.

Then with the USA markets tanking, I am a trader, I have to be at my computer from 4 PM to 12 PM, the markets tanked so bad that I'm actually worried and don't even care about meeting girls.
That being said, you need game if you want to pick up girls here, you have to go on dates, set up meeting places, ask the girls out etc. The girls seem shy also, I didn't expect the to be so shy. I was also mistaken about English, English is a 2nd language that many don't speak that well.
I also feel that these girls are religious, and feel bad about wasting their time for sex.
The third worldness of this place is also a turn off to me, makes me really not interested in the girls. These are not like Black American girls who dress well, most look poor, but the overall society turns me off like my body is telling me, you don't really want to procreate with these people.
Moving around to different places is a chore, this isn't south east asia with safe and cheap transportation and you can walk anywhere safely, this is scary to travel around.
Being that the girls are really shy and you need to use a lot of game to pick them up, I will probably leave here without getting laid. I was expecting something different. I thought the girls would be more out going and easier to speak with. Many don't speak good fluent english also.
Any of the attractive girls online are hard to get follow up responses, they will like you, but not reply to you after that.
Overall, I don't recommend Kenya, just go to South East Asia.
Not really girl related, malaria is a real issue here in Mombasa, I didn't realize this and after reading the high odds of getting Malaria I'm a bit paranoid. I had to get a mosquito net for my room because of the constant mosquitos that find them selves in my room, I was killing a few a night and it was difficult to kill them, and it freaks me out to sleep knowing they will sting me when I sleep. I would avoid mombasa for this reason alone, supposedly Nairobi has much less of an issue.
My bathroom is outdoors and always loaded with mosquitos, I have to put on my thick sweartshirt and hood to take a dump, I get swarmed when I live my room.
I will also say that, with all the trouble coming here, if you are from the USA, just game Black girls in USA. I guess this depends on your age, but if you are younger, just stay in USA and game the plentiful amount of better looking black girls in USA. If you are an old guy, then you won't be able to pick up young girls in the USA so will have to come here if you want young.
However, at my age, I would rather pick up black girls in USA, you have more in common, the girls are better dressed, etc. Plus you won't get malaria.
Overall, I don't recommend anyone to come to Mombasa for girls.
Your vacation is not going well, you are worried of walking in the street, and use transport, and worried about malaria when you are in home. And now you have to work also.
I haven't heard any tourist or visitor to get malaria in Mombasa, I have come to Mombasa many years. I guess it is possible. I get bitten by mosquitos all the time, you worry too much about malaria. Local Kenyan people, they are sick of malaria all the time, since they call any mild flu or mild fever as malaria.
Your bathroom is outdoors? Not included in your apartment?
I think you are not going out at all? I don't know how to help you. Better luck with the internet dates, maybe you find girl from there?

Who the hell needs game in a 3rd world country. It seems you are not at all social. I am really enjoying talking to the people. I do not know if you travel much. I just told the waitress that my dad thinks she is not speaking English. He just does not understand her accent, but I do perfectly. She told him next time he comes she will speak English like an American. I told her no, make him learn Swahili.
Why are you going by feelings? Talk to people and find out the truth. I do know there are plenty of hookers online wearing hijabs. Whether they are religious or not I have no idea. Hell, religion is why I am as bad as I am now. The religious ones are the main ones.
Are you just in it for the skin tone? Thank god they are not Black Americans. I am Black American and I have not dated one of those in too many years to count. Black American girls who dress well is a facade. These people here are down to earth and not putting in airs. The only thing I don't like is the fake hair. I have a phobia of that shit. And it seems that after they have seen it fuck one person's scalp up then they would stop. But no. There is an epidemic. On the plane I told my dad that I do not like chicks with fake hair, but when you are in Africa you pretty much have no choice. It is like they come out of the womb looking for it.
Not a chore for me. I just click on Uber. And when I find a driver with a car that I like, I get his whatsapp. Have one taking me to Diani in a couple of days for less than what Uber says.

You must not be on Bumble.
I live in Thailand, but I want to experience every place on the planet that I can. For me there is no just go here.
I must say that this is the worst advice I have ever heard. Damn those hooligans.
Messing with them you are subject to get something worse!
I admit it is not what I pictured, but I know how to make my own fun. I like Nairobi better.

Yeah the hotel prices in Mombasa and Nairobi are pretty outrageous for a third world country (by global standards) for what you get.
