Has anyone stayed at the Fairfield? It looks like a new hotel, so I don't see much info out there. Price is good and I want my Marriott nights, but seems a bit far from the center of the city and unsure of its guest policies. Any insight would be appreciated!

Posts: 3284You can book a room at waterfront Lahug. There is no checking irrespective of how many you bring to your room.

Posts: 104Does Quest or Elizabeth have a 7 eleven within a couple minute walk. The negative of being close to the mall is that it closes too early 10 pm.

Posts: 1204Book a family room for 4 person = Philippine style. And make sure ALL your guests have a valid ID to register them once you walk them proudly to the registration desk.

Posts: 45To make up for mis-posting a hotel question in the General Reports forum I wanted to provide a summary here.
I'm looking for an alternative to the Hotel Elizabeth near Ayala Mall.
* Expat American suggested the Parklane with the note that while their breakfast wasn't that good, but security was very helpful in handling an LB issue.
* NewImage recommended the Quest for their great breakfast and swimming pool.
Both had nice rooms and a great location. A quick check shows them to be identically priced.

If you meet or walk with the girl from outside most likely she will not e required to present her ID. I have done this many times and 100% of the time I just walk with the girl to the elevator.

Posts: 347Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is guest friendly
I have confirmed with the management of this hotel:
"Regarding unregistered guest, our staff / security will ask for the ID of the guest and register it. Not with your booking but as guest list for security purposes. ".
As far as I can tell, this is one of the best hotels in Cebu. It is not the cheapest (between $85 and $135 a night for a fancy suite facing the ocean), but certainly not exorbitant for a short stay traveler.

Trip advisor lists it as the #4 hotel in Cebu but #1 in value for money.

Posts: 4607You don't have to come down if you don't want to. Just give her your room number and she can sign the register, hand over ID etc herself. If you want to be super safe just have a word to the security desk that you will be having a few friends visit over the next week and it's ok to send them up. It won't be their first time seeing a girl arrive.

Anyone have any recommendations for apartments blocks / airbnb condos where security are chill about guests coming and going? I'd like to be discreet and don't want the whole coming down to check in the girl process which seems like a big thing in Cebu going by all the airbnb's I've messaged. Never had this anywhere else.
