    Danegeld in Dannok

Round Two with the massage girl ran into a road block in the form of a shop owner who refused to let her leave the shop without the payment of additional "danegeld". The plan had been for my friend to leave the shop when it closed supposedly at 4 am and come to my hotel room for 2,000 baht. The shop owner wanted 350 Ringitt. No way! I'the already given at the office during Round One.

Still, I learned something from the experience that might be of interest to other mongers.

I had gone out to meet my massage girl at 3:30 am. I went to a disco right across from her shop. It was still thumping. And at 3:30 am it was still packed with Malaysian mongers and Thai hookers. I'd say 70:30 in favour of the chicks. And it is probably that way still. I say this because it is now 7:15 am and the disco in my hotel (SP Sweet Hotel) is still pumping out the music. Their disco (Club 77) is on the ground floor and my room is on the 7th floor. I stopped in there at 6:30 and it was still jammed. In both places I was the only Caucasian. I didn't feel unwelcome or unsafe, but I definitely stood out from the crowd.

I have been parts of Thailand that pretty much shut down after 1 am. Chiang Mai is notorious for this (e. G. , Zoe in Yellow). Yes, you can go to Mandalay Bay, but that shuts down at 4 am. Even Pattaya starts to run out of steam at around 5 am. But Dannok is still cranking (or at least it is tonight: Friday night) at 7:30 am.

    Pretty amazing, this Dannok.

    Massage shop girl serendipity

Well the massage girl experiment took a while to get off the ground. The night before I spotted a place on the same Soi where my hotel was located (SP Sweet Hotel: please avoid), but the girls were not out when I cruised by. But on the next Soi up I spotted a place with a neon guitar sign so I went to investigate. And right beside it was a massage shop with a welcoming mamasan and a few cute girls. So I opted for a two hour, 500 baht Thai massage from a Chiang Mai girl who spoke no English. But sexy as hell. And just two days into the job! Serendipity.

My modus operendi in these situations is to make the girl work to get me into a "happy ending" mood, and unless they are very good, I usually decline. Anyway, this girl's massage skills were among the worst I've ever come across, but she had other redeeming features. In my experience, you always know that something good is going to happen when they lay their body down on you and start teasing you with their hair when the start into the neck massage. And sure enough, that's what happened. It was her was of signally that she was up for something more than just a Thai massage.

When the flip happened, she started with the legs and then, when it came to the package, she removed the towel and expressed both surprise and admiration. Who among us doesn't like that? The hopeless massage continued, but it eventually brought her to the point where our faces where just a few inches apart, at which point unbidden. She leaned in to kiss me. So I repeat, who among us doesn't like that. And it was a great, lingering, wet kiss. And before I knew it, her hand had found it's way back to the package and again unbidden so did her mouth, and I was soon enjoying one of the sweetest blow jobs ever. After a while, her panties came off and I reciprocated with some oral play. Then the condom came out, but the oral play had left me a little soft so we agreed that we would meet after work and get down to business in a way that would put more money in her pocket. So now I wait in my hotel room for round two.

Massage shop girls: they are a lot less certain, but they are often a lot more fun.

It has to be two N's in fact, it should be two words Dan Nok (both words are pronounced long like this "Dahn Nawk" low and falling tones). You can see the double letter in the Thai script too although Thai has no space between words. LOL . If I was writing it in English script I would probably write Daan Noark. Can be translated into English as meaning "The Outpost"

    Dannok or Danok?

After saying goodbye to Miss Lao I spent the afternoon wandering around Dannok (or Danok: the signage around town seems to favour the double NN by 60:40). I came away impressed. There are no beer bars that I have found, but massage shops and pseudo-karaoke places abound. They can be found on both sides of the road that runs through the middle of town, and when I say they abound, I mean that they are side-by-side-by-side in almost unbroken strings along many Sois.

I have spent six weeks in Pattaya stretching over three visits and I have walked the red light area from the soapy massage parlours opposite the shopping complex on Second Road all the way to the end of Walking Street, and I would judge the red light area in Dannok to be bigger. Pattaya, with its beer bars and go go bars, offers more variety for the monger (and more more places to drink (and waste money drinking)). I have seen nothing similar in Dannok but Dannok seems to make up for it in terms of the sheer number of places where you can walk and walk right back out with a lady. And the picking starts early. I spent an hour talking with a mamasan at one establishment: they open at 9 am and the best girls will have been booked by 10 am!. You will pay more for that lady in Dannok, but you will avoid the wastage on bar fines and lady drinks. Still, on balance, I think Pattaya has a slight edge except. When it come to accommodation quality and price Dannok has a decided edge. Rooms of good quality can be had here for 500 to 600 baht. Rooms of reasonable quality can be had from 400 baht. And all of these hotels are nestled in a sea of take-out massage parlours and pseudo-karaokes! You won't pay much for a room, you won't have to walk far to find a lady, and you won't spend a ton of money on booze.

One other bid difference: I was the only Caucasian to be seen on the streets of Dannok today. Yesterday I think I saw one other. But I never felt unwelcome or unsafe.

Short time sessions are possible: the pimps want an eye-watering 2,000 baht for that, also in advance. And the way these pseudo-KTVs work, the money is paid upfront to get the girls out the door. I was able to muster one additional session out of Miss Lao, right after I finished writing the first report: guess it got me in the mood to try and get my money's worth. That would have been at around 5 am. She took some persuading since she sleeping soundly after having been up (and after having pretty much kept me up) most of the night playing with her cell phone! Anyway, she just left and I can't say I'm sorry. Feel bad for her, though: if she were a little more attentive to customer needs she would have walked out of here with a much bigger tip. And if she turned better service into a habit, instead of sending a paltry 30,000 baht home each month she could be sending 40,000 or 50,000 baht.

The beaches in Langkawi? Neither fish nor fowl. If you're looking for a broad beach with good restaurants and bars strung out alone its length, nothing beats Boracay (at least in my experience). Haad Yao in Koh Phangan is also up there, albeit on a smaller scale, as are many coves on Koh Phangan. Cenang is like Boracay's retarded half-brother: very disappointing. Physically, the views are nice, but the water is murky, and the sand is a little on the gray side.

P.S. Thanks for the comment. I have read and enjoyed your many reports and comments over the years.

You can go into a pseudo-karaoke establishment and pick from a small line-up of girls or you can go to a "massage" shop. The thing that these two types of establishments have in common is that they are run by pimps who want the sun and the moon for their product: 3,000 baht or more for an all-nighter from a pseudo-KTV. That's way more than I'm used to paying in a place like Pattaya where an all-nighter can be had for 1,500 baht. Plus the bar fine and a few lady drinks. But 3,000 baht is not bad if the lady delivers, which last night she didn't unfortunately.

To begin with, after a long day of travelling walked the streets of Danok looking to see how the place worked and, like I said, there were plenty of massage shops and pseudo-KTVs along the Sois on both sides of the main street; also plenty of places to stay seemingly nice hotels. In the 600 baht range. Dimension-wise, Danok's red light district is not far off that of Pattaya. In other words, it is plenty large. Bigger than the red light district in Udon Than, or the one on Hua Hin, or the one in Koh Samui. Definitely worth a look in my opinion.

    <snip>

In my monger's travels I have learned that all-nighters are great if you get the right girl, but they can be very long indeed if you get one like this. Tomorrow I think I'll pass on the pseudo-KTVs and focus on the massage shop girls.
This is a very interesting report, WildBill. Danok sounds like a wild, lawless, Southeastern border town. LOL. From the way your night with Miss Lao went downhill after the 1st round, I am assuming that you had to pay in advance. Am I correct in this assumption? The lesson learned would then be either insist on paying at the end or only do short time sessions with these pseudo-KTVs girls (if that is possible).

I am looking forward to hearing about your next tryst. This time with a massage girl. Happy hunting.

    Danok pseudo-KTVs

Well, Danok on the border between Thailand and Malaysia is quite the contrast to Langkawi from a monger's perspective. Bigger than the red light district in Udon Than, or the one on Hua Hin, or the one in Koh Samui. Definitely worth a look in my opinion.

In my case, after scouting around for a few hours I was persuaded to look at a few line-ups and settled on a good-looking, bubbly, slender 21 year old Laotian. When asked to pay 3,000 baht I walked away. But the pimp chased me down on his motorbike and after a bit of haggling we agreed on 2,700 baht: too much for sure by Pattaya standards but it was late, I was tired, and it was better than what had been on offer in Lankawi.

My first session with my young Laotian friend went well enough. She seemed to like the tongue action I offered her and she seemed to like the way I fucked her. But starting with the shower afterwards, everything seemed to go downhill. I couldn't touch this, and I couldn't touch that. And then the cell phone came out. I don't mind it when a girl who speaks a limited amount of English uses a cell phone so we can communicate, but when a girl places undue restrictions on what I can and cannot do and then uses he cell phone to communicate with others while I am beside her, I lose interest and desire.

From this 21 year old girl I learned that she came from a family of poor farmers in Lao, that she had an older brother and a younger brother, that she also had a three year old child (although you wouldn't have known it from her nearly-flawless body), that she'the been in Danok for three months and that she sent how about 30,000 baht a month.

I tried to explain to her that with her bubbly personality and good looks she could be sending home a lot more than that if only she was less restrictive in what she would allow a customer to do and more attentive to a customer's needs. But I am sure this advice was lost on her.

Just to be clear, I don't have hurtful desires. I like to kiss and gently caress a woman's lips, neck, ears, breasts, inner thighs and the like. I'm into tenderness. But some girls (like my 21 year old Laotian) find that to be ticklish and say no.

In my monger's travels I have learned that all-nighters are great if you get the right girl, but they can be very long indeed if you get one like this.

Tomorrow I think I'll pass on the pseudo-KTVs and focus on the massage shop girls.

    Hi,

In Dannok which street to be precise to look for the services? What's the latest price update recently in 2017?

    Danok trip

Just returned from a trip to Danok, a town catering for Malaysian sex tourists. In Danok the tourists are mainly ethnic Chinese whereas in Betong I saw more of Indian.

(Tamil) ethnicity. Hotels located near karaokes and nightclubs suffer from nighttime noise so if you're a light sleeper avoid them. The KPK Resort, for example, is quiet.

But is about 1 km from the nearest action and about 2 km from the best action. Motorbike taxis are available. All hotels welcome guests' female companions and the.

Reception always give breakfast coupons for 2 people even to single guests.

Adult nightlife is basically divided into 2 categories. One is with girls from China (PRC). These are the best looking fair-skinned chicks around. Many are tall and slim.

Teenagers. One can find them in karaokes in the sois leading to the he Jia Grand hotel, the Satit Grand View hotel and the Oliver hotel and also in nightclubs / discos.

(First, Jaguar, Wonderland, Phoenix, etc.) around the KPK Hotel (the same soi as the KPK Resort but right on the main road). Most Chinese girls don't speak a word.

In English as most of their customers, Malaysian Chinese, speak fluent Mandarin. I had a chat with one such girl through a Thai lady interpreter. I met them in the street.

In day time. The girls are brought to Thailand on 3 month tourist visas, are paid around 40,000 baht per month and housed in the same top hotels (2 in a room) where.

Tourists stay. It's entirely up to the girls whether to provide services beyond singing and drinking with customers. In view of their fat salaries and good living conditions.

Only old ones seem to sleep occasionally with customers. Prices start at 4000 baht per night and can go much higher. I offered the girl I met 5000 and she refused to.

Join me in my hotel. She was 18 yo and while slim did not have an attractive face. At breakfast in the hotel restaurant I saw only few middle aged Chinese ladies eating.

With their customers. Even mamasans and papasans in those karaokes are imported from China and do not speak English. One can pick up these Chinese girls during.

The day too when they shop but unless you speak their language the only response you get is 'chi putong', meaning 'I don't understand' in Chinese. They generally show.

No interest in customers and even when at work are totally focused on the screens of their mobile phones.

The second category of nightlife is located in sois on both side off the main road closer to the border. There are numerous small karaokes, massage shops, and.

Agogos. Most ladies working there are Thai and are of lower quality than their Chinese colleagues. Asking orices are around 3000 baht per night. Again a general attitude.

To customers is apathy and only rarely one would invite you to come in. Of course it is entirely possible that this treatment is reserved for Westerners while Malaysian.

Customers are welcomed much more enthusiastically. I only saw 1 Western tourist at night during my 2 night stay there.

Western food is a problem in Danok as 99% of restaurants are outdoor Chinese ones. I found only 2 air-conditioned Western style outlets: MacDonald s and Jeffer.

Stake, both on the main road near each other and not far from the border.

Yes. Booked 2 rooms but when there, the receptionist said "fully booked / sold out". Apparently, they increased the price and others willing to pay higher.

Anyway, beers there and now pretty expensive! Had gone to this new club, Yes. Nice show and great selection BUT damn. Price of a bucket of beer (5bottles) cost 1400Baths! How much can 2 guys drink and still remain standing after that? And the attendants there expects to get tipped for opening your beer bottles! But overall, enjoyed the show. Anyone planning to go there soon?
