Still makes no sense. You could just show your key. Hell. Not like there are 100 rooms there anyway. They know who is staying there and who is not. Like 25 guys are coming off the street to randomly visit the place.
Yeah but you'd have to pull your key out of your pocket vs them just looking and seeing the blur wrist band LOL.
Seems like you are hard to please LOL...
I was there in January and there's a new girl named delany there. One of the nicest ass at the hotel. She's 21 and she takes direction very well. I had her 3 times when I was there.
Delany probably is a cum bucket now, had thousands of male penises and stretched her vagina beyond normal.
That's the key, you stopped by for lunch, only 6-8 chicas on day shift. There are 20-25 at night 5-10 or 11 pm. A lot better selection at night. Also last stay there a few weeks ago, they put red wrist bands on visitors not staying there.
Husker Dude is 100% correct. There is no comparison to day shift and night shift, many more chicas at night and usually dressed to impress at night.
I have stayed at Barba Negra many times, currently live in Costambar, so frequent more often than not and have never been subject to a red wrist band when I visit the bar or restaurant. I don't know for sure but my guess is that maybe a red wristband is for the cruise people or anyone else that rents the short time rooms and is only there for a few hours and not overnight. I will confirm this.
The reason for the wrist band is to prevent people who is not staying at the hotel to charge anything to any rooms

Sounds like a PR blast from the resort. How many of the "beautiful" chicas were chubby, overweight, had baby scars / damage, tattoos all over their body and greasy slimy hair? 100% was my observation last time I was there for lunch. And the specialty stew had very fat beef, hard to chew and swallow. So I did not stay there, went into Sosua and got a hotel room.

I just got back from my trip to BlackBeards in the DR. I had a great time; much has stayed the same since I was last there 8 years ago. Some rules have changed for the worst (in my opinion) like paying a $100 deposit to reserve a room. I don't mind paying the $100, however they don't have an easy way to pay the deposit. I wound up having to send a western union. In the year 2025 paying $100 via credit card should not be the complicated. Also they hold the $100 until you check out and pay you back in pesos at an exchange rate which is not favorable. Its not a deal breaker for me, however it is a bad customer service experience the way they have it set up. Also as soon as you arrive they have you sign a form stating that you will wear a blue wrist band the entire time you are on their property; failure to do so will result in a charge (I forget the exact amount). Once again this is a bad customer service experience; also I didn't see any valid reason to make us wear it. Any time I left the property I took it off and put it back on when I returned. The food was still good as were the drinks. The american dollar is stronger now than I remember it being 8 years ago. When I arrived I had the taxi stop at Jennys. I got 62.5 pesos to 1 american dollar. So I had no complaints about the prices. My first night there a chica overcharged me and the mamasan got involved and I got my money back. The mamasan told me 3,000 pesos for ST (short term) and 6,000 pesos for TLN (overnight). I never had any more problems like that after that first incident. When I made my reservation I told them to give me a room away from the Crow's Nest Bar and they gave me a room right next to the Crow's Nest Bar. I wasn't happy about that, however it turned out to not be a problem for me. 8 years ago I believe the Crow's Nest Bar was Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. The week I was there it was only Saturday night. Another difference, this time compared to last time, was the chicas were extra hungry for business. Anytime I looked around and I made eye contact they were begging for business. No matter what I was doing: eating, swimming in the pool, talking to another guest, etc. The motel was booked; maybe the other guest's weren't sampling the chicas enough (I don't know). The chicas were beautiful and there were between 10-15 chicas available at all times (1000 am until 1000 pm). Lastly the beach was more crowded this time; especially weekends. Also this past Thursday (turns out that was Dominican Independence Day). All in all I had a good time and plan on visiting again probably toward the end of the year.
You can ask for your deposit back the same way you paid. I got mine back in usd.

The blue wrist band is the worst idea that BB has ever done you are correct it serves no purpose other than to annoy customers everyone I have ever talked to who stays at BB hate it. BB wants to verify someone is a customer just ask to see the room key. BB should have figured this out by the amount of resistance they are having making customer wear it.
Yes I agree. The part that puzzles me is they still let in people from outside who are not overnight guests. They don't wear a wrist band. So I just don't see the purpose of it? Also having guest sign and agree to wearing the wrist band or else pay a fine is horrible customer service.
Do you remember the names of the girls you saw during yiur trip. What was the name of the girl that overcharged? Some girls tend to be a bit more aggressive for a multitude of reasons.
Most of the names went in one ear and out the other. However I do remember Chyna (I had a great time with her). The picture below her name is Nikki (I think); she was a sweet girl.

The one on the right, I believe, was the leader who convinced her partner to agree to overcharge me. The one on the right was the one demanding more money for both of them. The one on the right is 26; the one on the left is 19. They both later apologized to me for what they did.

Interesting to see that nothing has changed in that regard in the the Dominican Republic.
