2. Run by the same people, was called Men's Massage on google maps. It is near Mr. Oven Barber shop. Now it seems to be called Z hotel and massage spa.

In Japanese you can search for "Massage Service" in Katakana "MASAAJI SABASE" you can try to use google translate for the Japanese katakana.

I matched with an account on badoo, switched over to LINE App, and right out of the gate I offered 800,000 for her time. Sex available, mostly a chinese place, use translator, I am semi-fluent in Mandarin, cost is $44 usd for one pop or 40 minutes whichever comes first, 2 pops appears to be $150. Yes it is USD. I paid 1,000,000 Kip which is $44, or they charge 300 yuan on alipay which is $41. Hours are 1 pm? - 3 am. Disappointing is one pop. Many of these girls do not smile, I picked a girl one pop, tried to make some small talk to make her feel comfortable, did not much affect results, she did not want to stay after or do any massages saying it is not on the menu, left after 25 minutes and a shower.

Analysis. Scene has gone underground. You have to look for MPs within MPs. There is no way an innocent backpacker is going to stumble upon extra services unless he specifically asks or negotiates it. I am back in Vientiane again for a working visit after having had many visits pre-COVID during the previous decade.

There are quite a few new, chic restaurants and hotels, but there are also a depressing number of derelict buildings, and many places are now closed.

The plane to Vientiane was full, and there are lots of grey nomad tourists and the inevitable backpackers around, but the monger scene has clearly suffered from some unknown (to me anyway) effects. The trawling girls on motorbikes have disappeared in the evening. Even WeChat seems to have few potential meet-ups.

I haven't gone searching for a massage yet, but I am here for an extended stay, so time will tell.
