I have seen dozens cross without passports, even driving I see birth certs passed out the window. If someone is hassled, it is not because they didn't have a passport, the other identification must be real, and believable. Like I said in the post, I drove a guy across without ANY paper work, they just ask him to write his SSAN on a paper, maybe took a minute or two longer than normal while he verified for the agent some other info that came up on the screen.

    Acuna Making a Resurgent Comeback?

My buddy from San Antonio and I went down to Acuna 2 weeks ago. Expecting the usual same ole boring time, we had a great time. We got into Acuna Thursday night and first went to the Corona Club and had a couple of jacks and cokes. Love the Corona Club. Great bar. Country and rodeo. It was about 8pm when we hit Corona. As with the last several times we went, we were the only gringos in the place. There were quite a few locals. They put pool tables in the place. Not happy with the ranchera they were playing but they eventually changed to playing country. Something about this club and country music. Awesome! Anyway, I was supposed to meet Candy from Hunters at 8:30pm. Good looking hottie. Of course she didn't show up. After a couple of jack and cokes we headed over to Tochos. This is a favorita local hangout. A dive bar that smells like [CodeWord140] from the stinking restroom. Anyway, as usual, when we walked in, nothing but a bunch of gorditas. About a half hour later. 3 or 4 hot looking women came in. We called a couple over and ended up drinking and dancing and having a good time. My friend took a real cutie to his hotel and I told him I was going up the hill to Hunters. So off I went. I was very surprised at the number of good looking women in there for a Thursday night. Anyway, a girl by the name of Azul came over and hung out with me and we ended up going back to my hotel. My roomate and I were sharing a room at the Whiteriver, which is a fairly decent hotel close to the Corona Club. My roommate was sleeping when we got it. This girl could care less if he was in the room and we proceeded to have a great time until the sun came up.

The next day, we were planning on heading over to Nuevo Laredo and La Montera. We had such a good time in Acuna that we decided to stay both Friday and Saturday nights. Tochos did not let us down each night. Interestingly enough, went to Hunters on both Friday and Saturday and the place was completely dead. Few chichas.

Yea, man. I know what you mean about downtown. I have been in many of those "ladies bars" that you mentioned. Pretty much the same old story. Most of them are filled with some ugly looking gordita women. It is very rare to find something decent. There were a couple of times that I did run into a couple that were attractive but nothing came about of this. The lack of talent downtown always leads me to go up on the hill to Hunters. Usually some good looking women in there but the owner Tino has turned the place into a piece of crap. Friggin beers are $4. 00 each. A jack and coke is $7. 50. Una bebeda para mujeres es $9.00. Just turns you off on the whole place. If you ask to take a woman to your room or hotel, this same idiotic owner charges a $100 house fee to let them go. Then the women command $100 for 30 minutes. Just a shitty business model all around.

My understanding from a couple of long time waiters there. And these waiters are good guys. Is that Tino would close the place but has sympathy for his workers relative to wanting to keep them employed. He's not making any money and business is down tremendously as a result of his inability to effectively run the place.

If I ran that place, I would advertise in several cities including San Antonio, San Angelo, Midland, Odessa, Austin, etc. I would offer to assist gringos in the process of getting a passport card (these are only $35 bucks compared to about $200 for a passport). Having to have a passport has totally turned off gringos from coming. Back in 2006, before the passport needed came into effect, there were all kinds of gringos coming to Hunters and packing the Corona Club from the small city of Del Rio. So advertise and educate. I would even offer a van service. Tino has no clue and could care less. Such a shame.

For some idiotic reason, even after I say all of the above, I get excited to go to Hunters, even after a usual letdown. Go figure.

Did NOT see any ladies / girls, just grizzled old men winding down the day with a cold one and some billiards.

One older lady who spoke English (likely deported) asked me if me and "my friend" were looking for girls and she said she had 5 girls to choose from, but 7pm is early, give them 15-20 minutes they'll be here. Some where around the 90 minute mark, I started to ask this lady if she could call to see if they were on their way, without calling anyone she insisted they're on there way here and she started groping me, and I jumped up saying I'mm going to do a 20 minute walk around to look for my amigo one more time I'll be back in 20 minutes hopefully with my lost friend.

Girls never materialized and I just walked back to the bridge. No hassles from BP. Drove a total of 7 hours, got nothing.

    Need update on Acuna

    Hello,

I moved from San Antonio to San Diego and haven't been to Acuna in over a year. Can someone please give me the lowdown on this place from downtown to Hunters?

    Thanks

The whole city is like a ghost town now. Any update would be appreciated.
I was there a couple days ago, not BT; its been literally YEARS since I've even wanted to go up there, esp with the crooked ass cops pulling you over for bullshit.

As a few days ago, I haven't noticed crosbys closed at all, maybe you confused it with another place?

El centro is pretty OK I would suppose, but if you ask the girls its dead for them, so that makes it better for us, as itll be a buyers market so to speak; get down to Tochos or Jessies and you can have your pick; just not anything really above a solid 6, but worth it when you have a good cheap beer buzz and only want to spend about $20 including the room.

Year round though, there are some bars on Guerrero St the taxi cab drivers will recommend if you're looking for action. Most of them speak English and already know what you're in Acuna for if you look the role.

Actually hunters USED to be jumping all the time. What it is now is all the shit thats happening all along the border. People just don't want to come to these towns. And I know acuna is safe, but again its the rumors and etc that go around and I don't blame people for just not wanting to take the chance.

You don't really even need the taxis to take you anywhere, just walk around downtown and you can do fine; just don't get anything from the guys who speak english who always ask you want something you want a girl etc and who give you the sob story of how they were deported, fuck them. There are only a couple of guys who are legit and some of those are in jessies bar, and some of the meseros around the places.

    Hunter's club A. M.

I had to go to the demist today, in Acuna and I ask the Cabie to take me up on the hill before we went back to Del Rio.

The timing was not good, as it was about 10:15 A. M. When we got there was about 4 or five car at the Hunter's Club the Rio Club was closed.

Two men were inside, both with the club, I bought me and the cabbie a beer. ($4. 00 each) The bartender ask if I want a girl, I said why else would I have come there. So then he ask if I want big girl, a small girl, a thin girl or one with big tits. I said how about a thin one.

So in a little while he came back with a thin girl about 5-2, 100 lb, barely 18, real good looking. She had on short pajamas nothing under them. Small but good looking tits.

I bought her a drink ($8. 00) and she sat in my lap and let me look and handle her tits, ass and puss.

She wanted to go to the room, but did not do much of a sale pitch, some hands on me, but not much. Said it would be $100 for her and $20 for the room. She sat in my lap Cowgirl some, then I got her to give me a dance. ($10. 00) She took top off, right away, but did not take the shorts off. She did pull them down where you could see it, and did not object to putting my hand there. I offered to get another dance, if she would take shorts off, but she said NO.

After that I decided I better go, before I caught hell at home. As we walked out a Mexican cabbie came up fussing about my cabby picking up there, so I gave him a tip to get lost.

All and all it was a very good trip. This is the first time I have been there since they did all the street improvements and the updates in the Hunter's club, would love to go back some night with a group, when I had more time. I have all ways thought it is a lot more fun if you go with a group or at least one buddy.

Three to five women in Hunter's on a Friday night?
I am not joking here. It felt like all the girls got together and said lets boycott this place. And believe me, they did. This is the first time I've seen the owner, Tino, actually look worried. My friend and I have told him several times that he has got to lower his prices for liquor and women. But he laughs and never does a damn thing about it. He will have to close this place down if it continues like it did Friday night.

  13. #296

    Ok

I have never gone there and never will simply because the owner is a gouging asshole that loves to rip off Americans.

I think I'll stay right here in Nuevo Laredo, Acuņa is a 3 hour drive for me. My last visit there was for a business trip to Del Rio, so travel hotel and food were all paid for. I did find a girl in centro, but the quantity and quality here are more to my liking. Watch out for chicks with dicks, I swear Acuņa has more of them than Nuevo Laredo does, and there's a bunch here.
