    Thanks Grown Man

I was leaning to Boca Chica and you guys convinced me and its a lot less hassle for flights for me than Sosua and I like the easy trip from the airport. I decided on the hotel lodging because it just seems easy and I love the generator comment. Seems like a hotel will point me in the right direction if I need something or assist if I have a problem. Given that I do not have any specific plans I decided to eliminate as many variables as possible for my home base. Thanks again.

    Hotels.

Pros: Traveling accommodations are met. (Hot water, safe, bed, and air condition). Most hotels have a front desk, cleaning staff, and security personnel to assist you during your time. Most hotels have backup generators because power outages are frequent. Someone will be there to address your problems.

Cons: less private, less space, usually more expensive but not much.

    Airbnb.

Pros: more private, you're not renting a room, you're renting someone's apartment or home. You usually have a patio or balcony. You usually have a dining room and living room separate from your bedroom.

Cons: no one's there to address your problems. Most don't have backup generators.

Personally I think as an experience traveler you will do fine in an Airbnb. I recommend hotels for people less familiar with the area, culture, and language.
I definitely would suggest Boca Chica for you. Its easier to get the hang of.

    Thanks Eddie

This is exactly the info I was looking for and the tips I needed. Got the reservation at Frio. The sports bar sounds great and will definitely hit the piano bar, I will tell them you sent me, LOL. Looking forward to meeting all the other travelers also and to telling all the "helpers" to get lost. Thanks again.

Based on the information on the post, you know Spanish and know what's up cause your not really "new". I recommend Boca Chica if you don't want all the hoopla of Sosua super pros and the noisy, young crowds showing each other up over there. Boca is way smaller, quieter and simpler.

For a feeler, stay at FrioHot Hotel for at least 3 days. There's also a good sports bar across the street there but I forgot the name. But FH is a hotel restaurant and the food is very good just a smidge pricey-but when you see how clean and well kept the place is you'll see why!!

Try the fried calamari and the green bread spread-O M G!! They even got a money exchange right outside, or a bank up behind the hotel. It's chica friendly with free breakfast! Only thing is they don't have a pool, just a jacuzzi on the rooftop overlooking the ocean! But its a modern looking place and you have a chance to meet a few travelers there as well to point you to some other spots. One 4 block strip in town closed to traffic at night and VERY safe. Go to the Piano Bar!! If you like Spanish mamis they got them. If you like Haitian mamis (I do) you'll see some nice ones there and all over..

    Playa Maximo (Boca Chica)

I've always been a regular at the "Boat house" in Boca chica and hated the dirty west end with all its trash but not anymore. The west end is now called playa Maximo and it is nice and completely remodeled. Not many tourists wonder down that end because of its previous dirty reputation but its still mostly locals now and plenty of delicious eye candy. I wouldn't suggest going on Sunday because the Dominicans really come out and it's no self distancing. Only connection with the other side is the touts selling everything.

    Good points Oakie

I focus my activities in the DR because I like brown women and can pull attractive ladies with little effort. I am older and fine sport fucking tiring. Never the less Sosua provies a venue where even sport fucking can be done with ease. I have a high opinion of most of the girls I deal with. We all have our own requirements and standards. I have been coming for close to 10 years. The things that entertained me 10 years ago are nolonger my desires. I enjoy the ancillary things in Sosua as well as the women. The women are losing their luster because the quick and dirty action is not as thrilling as it use to be. So I use my Whatapp to fill the gaps. I am in my 60's but still having huge fun.

It's hard for a monger to really understand the role that Dominican men play in the daily lives of Dominican women.

They are not just the hustlers and motoconcho drivers we see in Sosua or Boca, they are fathers, brothers, cousins and sons.

In 99% of the country, they are a chica's network of support, long after the monger moves on or goes home. They get her kids to school, to hospital, to fix the roof, get the water, and generally protect the family unit. And when the mongers ain't around in the middle of summer, who you going to call?

I have experience with families in barrios, and campos up in the hills of PP and Mocha. Without the guys around to organize the barbeques, cumpleanos fiestas, it doesn't happen. Wherever you see a Dominican family out enjoying themselves, you'll see always lots of young guys around in support.

I remember going from a rowdy bar in Cab, home with a local chica late at night, but I was hungry and out of cigarettes. Posted about it here. She called her friend and he whisked us through this gadawful (as I thought then) neighborhood.

Dropped us off in a tiny 3rd floor flat, and came back 20 minutes later, with beer, pizza and cigarettes. He waited outside to take me back to town, but I decided to stay over, because I felt safe.

Dominicans keep the puta economy relatively safe for the monger and putas, to keep the monger dinero flowing in. Simple economics. An informal "business plan", like a mob run casino.

Even the ex pat businesses, need a connection to the locals, their silent partners, to stay in business.

You make a valid point. But it also bolsters what I was saying. They are not looking for a true relationship they're looking for financial support. We're not looking to build a family we just want sex. If you think it's anything more than that you're being delusional. If a relationship is based solely off him financially supporting you how real is it?

How many of us have had girls called us RFM? They are persistent and have no off button. Of course I'm generalizing there are exceptions to the rule. But you may hardly even know the chica. I silently study them in their own culture. They don't treat or expect that out of there men. They have a relationship between each other that's based on family and culture. Family is the glue of there Survival. Anything connected to that is how they live with pride. (Klk) Yes the men are chauvinistic. I agree many Dominican men Abandoned their responsibility as fathers based on our social standards. But at the end of the day; it's the Dominican man that is going to be there with her and not the gringo. He understands her and she respects him.

She knows the relationship she has with a foreigner has a short lifespan. The majority of Dominican women are not trying to be with gringos. But some will deal with a gringo if it's financially beneficial. It takes a special type of Chica to specialize and or seek in dealing with gringos. Prostitution is legal. However, the general society looks down upon women seeking prostitutional relationships.

That's why Sosua is what it is today. There's no other place in the DR where you can see such a huge concentration of foreigners and Dominicanas in one area. Only the delusional ones go there looking for a serious relationship. I don't know any designated place in the DR; where chica that prefer gringos can meet for serious relationships.

IMHO The reality is they know what we are therefore and we know what we are therefore. To take advantage of the legal system. Some of us are having sex with Chicas young enough to be our granddaughters. With the mentality of a 20-year-old. I can't even relate with 30-year-olds in my own country. I don't think they're on my level. With money we doing things that most of us couldn't do in the states. From ST with young 18 yr olds; to taking gorgeous dime pieces on a five day mock date. It's not a honest physical mental and cultural connection that the chicas are seeking us for. It's all about the Benjamins.

Okskool what I have learned the most from you is Learning to Establish and have a respectful understanding with your chicas. That's how I see you operating. I study my ex pat friends. As well as Gogo, WRX 2005, Sir Charles, Mr E, TomJ, The OG BQRIBS (rip). The best thing you can have with a Dominicana is a respectful understanding of dealing with each other. Enjoy the fantasy but understand it's an illusion.

Honestly, I cannot think of too many countries where the female population generally prefer men outside of their culture to build families. I haven't been to Europe, Asia, or Africa.
Everywhere you go (England, France, South Africa, you name it) women say that same shit. That they do not like the local men. But what choice do they really have unless they can travel around in search of other nationalities. Like most people they are stuck with what is available to them in their immediate vicinity. I tell them that men are the same everywhere though. It is just that you are tired of Dominican Man bullshit and want to try Germany Man bullshit.

I get it though. It works both ways. I am American and I don't like American women. (Before that I was Georgian and did not like Georgian ladies and preferred Californian, Texan, or Washingtonian ladies.) That is not to say that I will not fuck one should one be available. But I have been in Thailand for the last 7 months and right now I am tired of Thai Lady bullshit and am ready for a break, so I will go back to Dominican, Brazil, Colombia, or Peru Lady bullshit. I like to mix my bullshit up so that I do not get frustrated.

P.S. I would not say Dominicans chicks prefer Dominican men. I would say they are most comfortable with Dominican men since they share the same language and same culture.

As my man Mr. E has said if you want to know if a place is dead. Go see how many people are talking about it. (I think that was you E). But I might check Badoo out.

I'll agree to disagree about your assessment of Dominicans. I'm writing a report about a recent incident that bolsters my point. I believe that you feel what you believe. I to have met some dominicanas that say they don't like Dominicanos. The Dominicanas made valid points for their reasoning of dislike. Can they be telling the truth? Possibly. Are they sincerely looking for a serious relationship. Could be. After studying their culture and observing them; do I believe them? Nah. Do I think some Dominicana is laying somewhere horny with her body marinating until I return to her country for sex. BS. I think they just want financial support in the end. But hey, I also think that most of us guys just want some pussy in the end. Of course there are exceptions to the rules.

IMHO Foreigners are nothing new to the DR. There are people like you who do well in what you feel is an honest relationship. The reality is there are more short term ending relationships than successful long ones. The Dominicans know this. Foreigners come and they go. As time passes you'll become less desirable to him. They move on to the next younger Chica. He was not going to take you back to American with him. And you know you were not going to just leave your family. It's best to get what you can while you can, however you can is there philosophy. Many of them burn their bridges fast.

Every year the country produces thousands of new young 18-year-olds to put in the competition pot. We are under the illusion if we think they are just physically attracted to us. We are under an illusion if we think they're just looking for an honest serious relationship. If we are not under an illusion; then we need to get it clear with them what is the definition of an honest relationship. For most of them it means financial support.

WRX 2005 said a while back they only view us as walking ATM machines. They are not looking for emotional support. They don't need you to tell them how to budget their money. They are not concerned with having a family with someone that doesn't know their culture. They are known to get to the US and abandon their sponsor; to go be with other family members that's also in the US.

I have friends that deal with Dominican chicas in Serious relationships. Most of the time it's a Constant tug of war game. You pay more money in the long run, but some people feel it's worth it. Kool. It may well be for them but not for me. That's why I say the most we can have is a clear understanding.
There are all types. You catch fish depending on your bait. If your bait is cash, of course you will catch chicas looking for cash. Nothing wrong with that. Both sides happy. Generalizing that dominicanas always prefer dominican men is off the mark.

I have had tons of every type. Good girls, live in novias, ex wives, friends with benefits, semi pros. All good but can't say they are all the same.

Many Dominican guys could care less if the woman enjoys. Machismo is real. I used to chat with an extremely horny girl that is over 30 years younger. She always wanted to come over. We would chat about sex and she complained all the Dominican guys she knew never wanted to go down on women. If they did it was sort of obligatory foreplay they needed to do to get laid. We would chat about sex all the time. Phone sex a few times. She sent me videos and pics. Never hooked up as she was not really my type. Too thick but nice firm boobs. She was cool to chat to if bored. If busy, I would ignore.

Some will even pay for dinner, take you to visit their family, want to build a genuine friendship. Did you have to pay all of your girlfriends you've dated during your life? Mongering to me is a mix between paying hardcore pros, and meeting soft and sweet tinder / SA / Cupid college chics for dating, hoping to make a foreign boyfriend; use my good looks and dance moves and get laid free at times. Don't hate if you can't do this, not my fault, stop sounding like a bitter ahole.

We all trying to learn and have fun hombre. It's so funny how some losers get to the island on their Social security or Disability income for couple months, and they suddenly claim to know more or claim to have lived there. When really they don't even know if the one they're writing to could be part Dominican, or was raised there or lived there longer than they did LOL. Renting a $200 apartment in Sosua, not speaking a word of Spanish, never been involved with the real non-sex working families in the Dominican republic or other activities, does make you a local, in fact you technically still haven't lived there. You must have a cedula, a bank acct, a business, a marriage, be part of real ex-pat group and not mongering boards, and all the above I mentioned to claim so. Until then just STFU. Now who's pathetic?
LOL. He will talk crap about "man in the arena" "boots on the ground", come off as if because he lives here he knows it all. If someone says they have been here longer and have more experience, he also gets pissed.

One way to gauge if a girl is non pro is to hint you may go to a resort in beávaro for a weekend. The amount of normal girls that will say "invítame" is high. Many have never or rarely been. If you know her and get along, if you take her to a place where she can drink and eat all day for free and where she will be half naked all day? Almost a sure thing. I have a weekend booked in November with an amiga I took last year. Still, last night a sister of an old amiga called to chat. Never dated her. She asked if I am officially single again. Hinted at me needing a novia etc. I said with stay at home, I can't go out and meet women etc. Told her I may go to punta cana for weekend and she said "Invítame". Did not tell her I had date lined up. Wanted to feel her out for future reference. I am going to resort using airline miles and even if paying cash, the difference for bringing a date is minimal. Maybe 50 bucks more per night.

By the end of the call she was saying I need to invite her dancing once the discos open. Invited me to her house for dinner. 100% non pro. Owns small business that she runs out of her modest house.

I had a very cute waitress tell me "invítame" when I was planning a business trip to Cartagena. She had saved up money and said she would pay flight since she always wanted to go there. My job would have been paying hotels anyway so she saw an opportunity. No doubt she would show her appreciation.

The ammount of non pros down here who hardly ever go out is astounding. I have taken women from harina and San Cristobal to zona colonial and they had never been. A few beers in "romantic" setting like plaza Espana or sega zona, and they are happy. Also appreciative.
