Return trip to Aruba, good time as always.

No, although I'd love to get back there sooner, I'll be arriving 4/19 and only staying for 2 days like last time. For me, the shorter trips work great.

Definitely enjoy it, hopefully it's busier than it was when I was there last from 3/1 to 3/3, it was definitely slow, girls said mostly due to Carnival having just ended and it was a bit of a dead period. I was just there 3/1 to 3/3 and the bar and street girls in San Nicolaas were $70 Aruban Florins or approximately $40 USD for 30 minute short time in their room. This was the same for girls in the bars, as well as the two I ran across on the street.

For me, Aruba was a strange place to visit. It's like a cross between Miami Beach, Cabo San Lucas in the Baja, and maybe some remote place in the Netherlands.

The island is very much desert, with rocks, big stones, and cacti everywhere. No idea why, but I was not expecting that. The roads are good, but not spectacular, but they are easy to drive. As someone previously noted, they have zero streetlights, just roundabouts, which are easy enough to navigate, but it did take the better part of a day to get really accustomed to them.

If you want nice restaurants, nice bars, nice "American style" tourist places, stay by Palm Beach area or really anywhere near the big all-inclusive resorts. Everything is exactly as you'd find anywhere in Florida, big places, nice staff, good drinks, decent food, and with prices to match.

In and around San Nicolaas, the former oil refinery (currently closed, although they are using it as a receiving terminal for oil products to be distributed on the island (jet fuel, gasoline, diesel), dominates the area. You can see it from far away, giant tanks easily visible from miles away. It's close enough to Baby Beach area that it stands out as an eyesore.

As for the girls in San Nicolaas, they are plenty fine. There's mostly Colombians, they are mostly good looking, but no knockouts that I saw. Standard 6-7's, with an occasional 8 in the mix. Didn't try online, so can't vouch for anything there, but my Tinder and Bumble didn't light up like a fireworks display like they did in Jamaica, so take that for what it's worth.

In general, the main street is a good time. The bars are small, with semi-loud to loud music, a couple had 80's classic rock for their foreign patrons, which is great if that's your thing. Pool tables were present in at least 2 bars, which is also cool if you enjoy that. The girls are all $70 Florins, about $40 USD for 30 minutes, they take you to their own room where they stay, so no additional room cost. They were mostly all extremely vigilant with condom usage, although I did try for "sin condon" where possibly, only getting lucky with the fat ass Dominicana from Honey Zone. The rest demanded condom usage.

Would I return? I really don't know. It was slow, per the girls and bartenders, primarily due to Semana Santa approaching (easter week), so people leave to visit their families for a long time. And there are fewer tourists. Also, carnival on the island just ended, which limited the number of tourists too, which likely brought down the number of girls. If I go back, it would likely be during carnival, just to see what that's like. The Airbnb manager said to book now for next year's carnival as most places book up this far out, I. E. 1 year out. Or I'd try for another higher season, I. E. Not Holy Week period.

Due to the low cost of airfare from the US, the nice infrastructure on the north end geared toward foreign tourists "feels like home", so it's safe and not a third world shithole, but the sun is a blazing motherfucker in the daytime and the water is awesome too, so it's a weird mix of sea, sun, sand and rum drinks in the day and mongering at night.

All in, a solid 7/10.
