This street may be a hidden jewel but it is hidden very well. I visited La Paz almost 2 weeks ago and stayed in a hotel not far from Juan de la Riva. I went through this street several times, both at day and at night but I never saw any trace of a brothel. I'm not saying that they aren't there, only that I could not locate them. In Calle Figuroa, the brothels can be easily identified by the open door, bluish light inside and a shady type hanging out in front. In Juan de la Riva, none of this at all. I guess that you have to be 'in the know' to push the right door bells in this street. As I'm not, I did not find any action there. Locals, please advice!

You guys can have a lot of fun in La paz if you know where to go.

If you want something cheap and safe I will recomend you going to juan de la riva street very near to plaza murillo. There you can find many places one next to the other. Girls are alright, much much better than figueroa street. Prices are 1/2 hr 55bs 1 hr 110bs some other places are a little bit higher. When you get there just said you already know the prices, so you won't be overcharged. Later on I will post the adress with more details and other places too.
