Tequendama Suites is where the family of Pablo stayed while he was on the run. The rooms have a bedroom separated from the living room by a sliding divider and have a nice kitchen where you can cook. They have a free breakfast. However, make sure the taxi or Uber understands that the Tequendama Suites is where you want to go as nearby is the better known Hotel Tequendama. Also the entrance is odd as the lobby entrance is about 20 yards from the street and is a bit hairy late at night.

I heard the Hotel Teqendama was where the Escobar family were under House arrest-- They also featured that hotel in Narcos where they put them. The Suites area is not dangerous at night tons of guards and soldiers there 24-7.

IMHO, these are the best weeks of the year to be in Bogota. Festive mood for everyone and there are many chicas looking to get holiday money, so the supply goes way up. And in my opinion lots of talent.

GREAT info for all. Many years ago I mistakenly booked the other one. Stayed only one night because it was a bit runned down for my taste. Tequendama Suites is much nicer. The area around Museo Nacional is fine in daytime and early evening. Late night, keep your awareness about you. Although I regularly walk very long distances in the day, I would not walk SF to this hotel at night.

What rules are you referring to? Your question is vague. Where did you hear that you need to leave on Jan 1?

I read in the MED thread some time back, that a guy arrived right before Jan 1.

Only to find out he had to fly out (anywhere) to Panama for a few days and then return after Jan 1.

It's a rolling 365 period. So no. You can spend the new year in country.

As I understand it yes 180 days per calender year on a tourist visa. Usually they give you 3 month at a time.

I hear Teqendama Suites only let's Venezuelan girls in with a passport which most do not have.

IBIS doesn't care who you bring at any time, if it's 2 am and you walk in with a girl they just open sliding doors for you at the main gate.

Walking around Chapinero got these-- 69 has 40 girls so in that area there are 4-6 clubs.
