Lots of druggings go unreported. Go to the US Embassy in Bogota. There is a long line of guys who got drugged in Medellin and lost everything and trying to get a passport so they can go home. My friend saw this himself when he went to take care of personal matters at the US Embassy in Bogota. He said even staff confirmed it.

I'm going to see a few regulars I know very well. I wanted to stay in Laureles and got a good deal on Expedia. Just wanted to make sure they aren't like the some hotels that will either not let you have an overnight guest or will charge you $40-80 for each additional guest after the first guest.

Wanted to check in to see if Medellin was still under a crackdown on women. I can either travel to Colombia for a cheaper flight and likely women expenses or goto Sao Paulo for my first tour.

Will my USD go further in Medellin or any other Colombia country if the sole purpose is meeting up with women, and would a week be enough time?

You would find out up front what it is going to cost. And if you actually could find someone that would agree to do this I would be very very suspicious. What real girl can drop everything in the rest of her life and come and live with a stranger for a week. Also I forgot to mention that hotel Zona Rosa they charge more of you take the condom they give you. If you tell them you brought your own condom they charge you less. A simple "tengo mis condones" and hand jesture will suffice.

You are right. I was using 1/2 to say half hour and the forum automatically omitted that. So, here is the re-post but also, consider what Gabacho responded with as that seems to be more detail information. I must be detected as a gringo so charged more.

Zona Rosa Hotel, across from Veracruz Church 16 K pesos for half hour. If you buy beer, it is 4 K pesos.

Hotel Cascada Plaza, 26, CL. 51 #53, La Candelaria. Behind Veracruz Church, on other side of the main street (Carrrera 53) above the corner bar. 20 K for half hour and trashy room.

Occasionales Botero Real, at the side of Veracruz Chruch 11 K pesos for half hour. Nicest room of the three hotels I listed here. It has a bathroom that you actually would want to use.
