Austria is very restrictive these days when it comes to Corona and its effect / danger.

They didn't specifically mention prostitution in today's press conference which is still going, by the way. Service industry of any kind which includes hotels, bars etc. Will, at the very earliest, open middle of May if everything goes well. But, and that is probably indicative of what is going to be the problem, events of any kind will not be allowed before end of June, as it seems now, and that will probably include night bars, discothekes and prostitution. So, we can look at a time window between middle of May and end of June 2020 to go back to normalcy.

Our results and statistics (those that we see so far) are really impressive and we have slowed Corona down fairly well but they do not want to allow it to speed up again, so we should not expect the government to step away from the current plan. We all have to wait as it seems.

I browsed through various escort sites and by now they seem to have realised as well that they need to stop operating as well. How long is the lockdown in Vienna scheduled to last until? In Zurich its currently till April 19 (but that could get extended).

Schedules are constantly changing and they don't dare to commit to any definite date. First they told us to wait until April 12th but just a few days ago they told us that it won't hold and will be extended until when we don't know yet. In regards to paysex I think we should not have high hopes in April or May. June 2020 might be more realistic.

Thanks to Massimo for the update. Things are the same here in the USA, although more underground. Realistically, I can't see things (sex industry and all of society) returning to any sense of normalcy until the summer. Then, it's flu season again in the fall.

While academia has closed its doors effective immediately, brothels at this point are still open for business. At least in Vienna that is the case, we will see for how much longer. Wellcum in Krnten, for example, will closed for almost 2 months which has been announced today.

I also see that the corona virus situation became more serious in Vienna. I'm not talking about the virus itself, but about the sex scene's businesses.

I just returned from two weeks in Vienna. I had high expectations in the mongering department, but I came up well short of my goals.
