I am French and I would like to advise you about France. I received a lots of information from this forum and I should share. I had the opportunity to punt in Spain, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands. I never hired an escort in France but I know friends who did it.

BUT it does exist of course, like in any other country, and people from all backgrounds use these services, from basic people to rich, famous or politicians.

This subject is highly hypocritical there and I think this is what makes services bad quality as you describe.

Girls can't work in good conditions, both they and their patients risk problems with the police, it's bad.

Just an unsolicited, general opinion on the topic of the prohibitionist law in France. I am a former expat in France who left the country already before the enforcement of the notorious 2016 law (the two things are not related anyway: the). I was back in Paris for a few days after long time; besides the city being the usual sh*thole for mongering, I noticed that nothing has really changed, both for SWs and loft / incall girls.

So, my guess is that either this law was intended to be a marketing operation to make nazifeminists happy or that police authorities are not serious about prosecuting prostitution (IMHO, the two options are possible, and one doesn't negate the other). The fact that only clients are pursued may also play a role in this apparent indifference for the new rules.

In any case, I don't think France will ever come back on that, as there was quite an agreement among parties at that time. Albeit in my experience this new deal has apparently no substance, let's only hope that this kind of prohibitionist discourse doesn't take ground also in the neighbouring countries, because occasionally you can hear proposals to "undertake the French path" on prostitution. And this really sucks.

Laws like the new anti-prostitution law in France according to which only one of two consenting adults is deemed a criminal for what they both agree to is obvious unequal protection of the laws, and in this case, obvious discrimination against men. When are men going to wake up and start voting as a block against politicians who propose and / or vote for laws that discriminate against men? Examples are laws that criminalize a man who has sexual relations with a prostitute but does not criminalize the woman. Another example is laws that favor women in divorce and child custody, such as child support schedules requiring payment of vastly more than can be justified as the man's fair share of child support.

The claim that prostitution is violence against women because men are using their superior economic power to force women into prostitution is as nonsensical as saying a man is a victim of violence because he was forced into his career as an executive, salesman, barber, or whatever because he needed to earn a living. Anybody who thinks prostitutes are victims should ask a prostitute. The answers I've heard include these: "I decided to try it for a week and earned more in one week than my father, who is his 40's, earns in 4 months" and "I earn more in one night as a prostitute than I used to earn in one month at my regular job in Romania" and "After working here (as a prostitute), it's hard to go back to a regular paycheck" because a regular paycheck is so much more time for so much less income.

The reason why these laws are being passed, is because of politics. Of bad, low quality politics. Most people don't care about prostitutes, since most people don't make use of them. So it's an industry few people know about. And they know even less about the prostitutes too. So it's easy to spread this fiction that the majority of prostitutes are forced into it, and are sex slaves. So by passing these laws left wing parties can do something 'progressive', which has the support of the population, but in reality does nothing to prevent prostitution, at best, just reduces it at street level (but increases it on internet advertising).

In Europe, I would saw about 20 to max 50% are sex slaves. But it's always the same women from the certain geographical areas. Black Africans (by the Nigerian mafia), Romanians (by gypsy pimps), and Chinese (by debt related Chinese mafia). The more expensive the prostitute (commonly known as escorts) , the less likely she is a sex slave. But in Sweden and Norway, police are always targeting clients of these high end prostitutes, because they're easy to find, and to deal with. The police makes numbers (x number of fines), and everyone is happy. While the Nigerian prostitutes are left alone, because they're a-lot harder to deal with. They're violent, and good at hiding from police. So the high end prostitutes leave Scandinavia, with the Nigerian ones remaining- talk about the law of unintended consequences.

What really needs to be done, is to punish punters to go with women who are sex slaves, even with prison terms. More police needs to be hired, and special squads of police (plain clothes) specialized in sex slavery to check all prostitutes (like in Denmark). Prostitution and brothels, then needs to be legalized with prostitutes being taxed. Also social workers need to be hired to check on them, and persuade them to leave the profession (job training, etc). Any brothel even suspected of mistreating the women, would be immediately closed by the police (like in Spain).

It won't eliminate prostitution, but it will certainly reduce the abuse. Will such laws be passed in prohibitionist countries (France, Sweden, Norway)? - not a chance. It would be so controversial, and expensive (extra police), that the citizens of these countries would oppose prostitution legalization!

What does it matter in reality. Have there been any citations for prosecutions in Paris for any of the customers of the ladies? In the US it is illegal for both parties yet it still goes on.
