Was there in October for a few days on business, but had plenty of time to spare, and cash in hand. What a complete waste of time and effort. The various websites show girls offering services up to €1000 / hour, a typical price on some is €750. There are other sites such as VivaStreet. Fr but the ratio of adverts from males and transvestites to women is about 95:1. Some of the women look pretty rough and when you 'phone them they don't answer, don't return a call, or the half decent looking ones want silly money which however wealthy I might be I would refuse to pay.

There are also 'chat' sites such as tchatche. Fr but it seems that most of the women there are scammers in West Africa who want your MSN address and then will say : "I'm from Cannes but I'm in Cote Ivoire at the moment as my grandmother is ill." (Example : suis en afrique depuis le deces de mon pere et ma mere suis venue changerv me vie au pres de ma grande-mere)

I let one of these develop and it took about ten minutes to get to the sting which was that she wanted money to pay her hotel bill (so what about granny?). I offered to pay the hotel bill directly to the hotel by credit card or bank transfer, but it was a 'private hotel' and they could only accept money sent by. Western Union! I sent her a fake WU MTCN number and got a very pissed of MSN message the next day saying I'd wasted her time! I then told her it was a mistake and proceeded to waste more of her time sending her to a bank in Abidjan for a non-existent transfer!

The SW scene exists in Nice and Cannes along the beach front roads and the parallel and transverse roads behind, but many of the 'girls' particularly near the Nice air terminal are not! Others are Mafia controlled or druggies, and in my view, confirmed by a local, it's a dangerous scene. A lot are black and ugly, or from places like Albania and Moldova, illegally in France. They offer BJ in the car from about €50 and sex for about 100, some of them have a flat but I was told that is dangerous. I suspect the danger may be overstated but was not willing to take the risk.

I met a couple of girls in bars but they have a terrible attitude, snooty and arrogant, and also wanted silly money. The non-pros are only interested in you if you earn a 6 figure salary and drive a Porsche, as a minimum.

I found one girl off a website who said €200 plus taxi fare to come to my hotel. She sounded pleasant, French but spoke good English, so I agreed to it. When she arrived (an hour late) she looked nothing like the one on the site and didn't seem to remember much about the conversation we'd had. When I asked if she was the same girl I'd spoken too, I was sure she wasn't, I got evasive answers and decided I didn't want to shag her anyway, I told her to leave. She asked me for her taxi fare (€80) plus half the money for the meeting. I refused and offered her €40 and told her if she didn't leave my room I'd call the hotel security. She started yelling at me at which point I opened my door and placed my hand on her shoulder and gently but firmly pushed her out.

I've been there many times for bussiness and agree with the previous poster. Very high priced escorts and champagne bars.
