I am contemplating visiting Budapest when the Europe opens up more. Is Budapest worth visiting. Or are most of girls a bunch of scammers. A few years back there constant reports of guys getting ripped off.

Let me put it this way, if you expect FKK's like in Germany than forget it. Budapest is all about hard work. Are there girls who are scammers, especially towards foreigners? The answer is yes. However to say all ordinary girls in Budapest are scammers is simply not true. Even I as a Hungarian, a local who is an expert for Budapest mongering scene had to learn & gradually move up in this game. There are many traps & unwritten rules when it comes to Budapest mongering scene. It takes time, years, to master them. If you are a total rookie, if it is your first visit to the city, if you will stay a day or 2 & you expect things to go smoothly, than get ready to be disappointed. If your target are ordinary girls than get ready to make many phone calls, expect that many girls will hang up on you the moment they hear English language, expect that you might get stood up in both outcall or incall, be ready to taste a bait-and-switch situations, expect that some girls will try to overcharge you just because you are foreigner. However, it is not all gloom & doom. There are girls who will charge you normal prices & will provide good attitude / service. But, even than it will take you lots of calling / time to organize the meeting with a girl. Be aware of gypsies. They are notoriois for scams, cold attitude, bad service, overcharging. My advice to you is to read the forum. Learn to recognize guys who really know the game & follow their advice. Avoid the others. In many of my posts, especially the early ones, I gave very useful advice for Budapest rookies. Read them, they will help you. If you are okay with the idea of using my services I will save you lots od time, make calls instead of you, talk to the girls in Hungarian & most importantly recommend the good ones, hidden gems who are proven & warn you about the girls who should be avoided. If your budget allows you than I definitely recommend elite girls. They are in a totaly different league. Much higher quality on every level / in every department than ordinary girls. Of course, their prices are more expensive. While we are on the subject of the scammers, avoid strip clubs & especially beautiful girls who will aproach you "by chance" on the street asking / offering to take you to the club for a drink. As a civilian / touristy destination, Budapest is a nifty place to walk around and explore.

As far as the hobby, I went twice and had worst luck, not with scammers but just getting girls to even answer a damn WhatsApp message. Like no sense of urgency. Or they know they won't meet Wnglish speaker's expectations. Other users complain of fake pics, at least their girls showed up. Me? 20 of 22 girls didn't start reaching back to me until I was already on the bus to the airport to the next stop.

Situation has completely changed in just a 2 months. Official government statiscs shows that there are over 900 new cases in Hungary every day, while in in Serbia there are 70. Very strange. However, it seems that situation in the region is the best in Serbia. The decision of the Slovenian government proves that. As of today, September 28, Serbian citizens can enter Slovenia without any restrictions. I will leave freedom of choice to everyone to think for himselfm. For myself, I am traveling between Belgrade & Budapest & vice versa freely whenever there are reasons, business or private ones.

There is a proposal in the EU now to establish a unified system within the Union (plus GB, Norway and Iceland, who are to join the system), which would classify member countries in three categories, indicated with different colors, and a normative system of the procedures to follow in case of a person moving from a red country to a green one etc. Thus you could just look at the current (and of course regularly updated) map and immediately know what you can expect if you are planning such a move.

I was actually wondering what "solid recommendation" would mean in the context how I interpreted your post, but did not find the obvious answer. But no problem, at least I wrote up a general summary of my personal perceptions of rates and some other issues in the past months.

I am reading that rates are going up in many different countries, not down. I think you make a solid recommendation as a trusted local and we will just have to see how all this plays out.

In Hungary, as far as I know, and in the segments I follow more or less, I haven't heard of rates going up. They have either remained unchanged, or in some cases girls (have) applied some kind of a discount or preference (with our without a change in their offer). A typical example was when some girls omitted kissing from their menu, but also lowered their rates a bit. I mentioned here Manna25 before (you can find the relevant posts with the search function), who did the same but was unique with the extent of the rebate, and at one point her rates were as low as 10/12 k HUF (without or with CIM) for an hour, which equals to 30-35 euro, and sound like a real bargain for this girl: https://rosszlanyok.hu/rosszlanyok.p...-data&id=50084 (although I never met her and her rates are a bit higher now again). But these rates have been far from being typical, most girls maintained their prices, or lowered them just a bit, or offered some other preferences (see later).

It will be interesting to see how it develops in the coming weeks and months though, because actually it's a bit surprising now, considering the current numbers of the pandemic, that almost all the girls, who were active 2 weeks ago, have remained so far. But it may change soon, I reckon. The latest number of newly detected infections was almost 1000 yesterday (even with the limited testing capacity I mentioned) compared to 15-20 a month ago and to ca. 100 at the first peak of the pandemic. (Moderate estimations say the ratio is about 1:10, which would mean about 150 k infected in Hungary and 65 k in Budapest at the moment) Now the daily new infection numbers seem to stagnate at least after a rocketing period, but it's just an illusion: the actual testing capacity cannot detect more than 800-1000 cases physically, and stagnating numbers are due to the fact that the average time a Covid-suspect would get tested (and then get the results) is growing rapidly, while many who have only moderate symptoms, and would have been tested a few weeks ago, now do not get tested at all. This means that 700 detected new cases today do NOT mean the same as 700 new cases a week ago.

- The lack of any sign that the government would have plans or at least the intention to do something about it. This would lead us again into politics, which I would like to avoid as much as possible. Meanwhile, the number of deaths is still fairly low (8-10 per day), mostly because the average age of the infected is 30 years now (in the first wave it was 68), but in July there were weeks when nobody died, so the tendency is bad, and many fear of a Florida-scenario, when penetration among older people and the death toll would follow in a few weeks.

And personally I can say that while I felt safe in the spring wave, feeling that my Covid-chances are more or less in my own hand (just by following the rules and common sense), I just can't say the same now. Again it's not only the pure numbers, but in May 9 out of 10 infections were reported from nursing homes, hospitals and other social institutions, and now they are everywhere. We are already in a phase that when you enter a mall or hypermarket in Budapest, statistically you have a more than 50 percent chance that at least one of the people around you is infected. Anyway, let's hope the best, but I mention finally that one of my personal "measures" is that from now on I suspend any mongering activities until the situation gets better, or at least clearer.
