This could be said about any riots or revolutions, anywhere in the world, at any time in history.

As told by both sides. Including the lies, misinformation and half-truth included inside such descriptions.

None of that is The Point.

The Point is-- these forums are not the place for any of that.

You or anyone who wants to spout off on such stuff, go back to Reddit. Or Russia or China or whenever you're really from.

Here-- we talk about 'The Beautiful Pursuit', and stick to that.

If you don't, you'll be called-out and booted. Goes for all of us.

We are becoming numb to it all, so basically, given the state of the UK now, so really, reconsidering travel plans for things like this do not phase me, since we are living with similar problems at home.

You may want to reconsider your travel plans. The government is already trying to blame foreigners. I predict the police and immigration will take advantage of the situation and find more creative ways, including violating your human rights, to shake you down.

You can debate my warning but, especially novice African travelers should stay clear for now.

    1000 KES per month

    Mwalimu.
This is for the Visa extension. How much is the stamp for the visa run? Without taken for a ride? I mean the stamp, that would make the visa run unnecessary.

At the bottom of the official eTA website it just says for Google Play only. No App Store.

    ETA app experience

Installed under android from the play store. When you start the app it asks for camera rights to scan your passport and to make a selfie of you. Scan of your passport means just to hold your phone at the site from your passport with your ID data. Surprisingly this works good. Next is the selfie, this will be added to your eTA document. So maybe not too silly funny smiling when you taken your selfie. LOL. Now the usual questions will come, how long you want to stay, where you want to go and so on. Then the upload from the flight itinerary and hotel reservation is coming. You can save and leave the app and when you come back you can resume. Last but not least the payment with credit card (35 $). In my case I get a mail after two days that it's finished (eTA document as attachment).

So it was easier as I thought with the app. But as I'm not a fan of tons of apps at my phone, I will delete the app soon.

Just one example of recent Catfishing

{Not putting in 'Photo Gallery' as these are NOT trophies, heehee}.

Continuing from another discussion, I'm sharing a recent (2024) example of Catfishing I experienced on last trip.

This Kenchic has username of 'Venesa' and posted the first two pics on her profile.

Although I never met her in-person we did videochat and she sent me her real pics, the other two.

    Visa Extension

The other way is take your passport to Immigration and hope they stamp it. Don't offer a gratuity because some offices will have you arrested. If you have a 'friend of a friend', you can pass 2 k-3 k in your passport and get a stamp. If you're an idiot, you can pay 5 k and demonstrate your supreme stupidity for paying for something legally free.

    eTA

I submitted an eTA on Sunday afternoon and it was in my email box approved Tuesday morning. The website was simpler and the total cost was less than $35. It took my credit card without issue. Just like the eVISA site, I still needed to creat an airline itinerary and hotel reservations for the first few days upon arrival. It's a visa by a different name.

Thats good information about being able to web chat, OT.
Has anyone tried to get a free extension online yet? I'm sure you still use the eFNS site (when it's working).
