    You compare apples with pears!

London Paris you can use train, car, ferry and plane. Its a short hop.

Tulear. Tana you can get a sore ass more than 2 days in taxi brousse paying 100000 AR plus overnight hotel.

Or pay 2 Mio AR for a private car, 1 1/2 days on the road.

Or use a plane 2 hours for 900 km.

Paris. Rome about same distance you pay more if you compare flights with 20 kg luggage. And no one complains.

Guys -- Mada got distances. Get real. If you not like it and and only have to complain, better stay in mom's basement.

Air Mad making money. A good one. That airline never made any money since inception. Maybe back in the 60's. Everybody steals. Same as Kenyan Airways. Air Mad if I remember correctly had a German manager years back. It didn't take long for him to be fired. Too efficient. Tried to get rid of the graft. 120€ is a cheap price. Haven't found anything less than 145€ up to 200€ one way to Tulear up till end of December. The cheapest tickets are the coup du coeur they're like 20 of them then the tariff goes up.

What do you mean by that. Income level. There's plenty of filthy rich karane, gasy business people, government officials who help themselves raking it in. Fuel stealing from Girama is only one example. The poor steal the reinforcement irons from not yet dry concrete structures. Of course there's no competition. That's Madagascar.

    Take it or leave it.

Why bother? Are you masochist? If I don't shag a girl on the first date in Africa I don't lose my time I look for another one.

    3 dates

What do you mean dates? You met somewhere, got her contact info and 3 times asked her to come over but she never showed up? Or she came to your hotel and you never even got her out of her clothes, never mind getting laid?

In either case I can't see why you would try again. Don't know what her game is but move on.

31 hour journey from where to where?

It took more then 9 hours from Antananarivo to Tamatave by cotisse for me. The road is so mall, Tamatave port is the biggest in country so there are so many big trucks on the road. And the driver was going so fast sometimes. But sometimes 10,20 km per hour. So many potholes in some areas. And if you want to fly, 50 minutes flight from Antananarivo to Tamatave is minimum 460.000 (110 euro) For this country it is too expensive.

If the roads (and travel times) continue to get worse I will have to think about going to fewer places and just fly. Fuck the cost.

Must have been a ghost town when covid was here. Seriously if I had known how quiet it is I don't know if I would have bothered this time around.
Head over to Fort Dauphin. Just grab a taxi brousse and hit the road.

The page is so silent. Any updates? I am in Tamatave and I see foreigners often. I guess with no covid testing tourism is improving.

    Thank you

Thanks again for your advice Much appreciated, though your tone. I am glad to know that Tana is safer now but not to go out after 8 PM? Where do the FLs hang out? On l'Avenue de l'Independance?

As for dangerous places, the Vietnam war was bad enough or Cambodia during the late 1970's.

I have have had my share of danger and am much the wiser But I always ask when I am not fully informed myself. I'll be just fine but all the same I ask when I don't know.

I arranged for a hotel taxi for 7,0000. I don't fancy walking down across the airport parking just to get ripped off my some free lance driver or worse. I have been there twice recently and seen for myself that it is dicey at 2 AM. It took me three hours the last time to get my bag and to clear customs. To say nothing of the Covid check. But I gather that is a thing of the past now.

It pays to be safe and to ask.

You can always PM me if you like.

    Thank you.

    Prends soin.

There's lots of city police. There's new CCTV cameras installed. Do not walk after 8 pm. The economic situation is dire. Loads of girls look for rent money. It's end of the month. Voila. Try to start to RTFF instead of asking people "polite questions" which are answered a few posts back. Like the Taxi from the Airport. As I wrote a few posts back. Its 70.000 AR. When you arrive past midnight with AF you take an official taxi. Period. And to some posters which whine constantly about prices for girls. I have a Tipp. Fly to Thailand. Its funny. So many clueless sextourists around shagging the same 5 high mileage expired girls in La Recif. And yes. Its hot in Tulear now. Summer is approaching. Yes. And have fun with the shits and sweats. The best time in in the south west is winter. April to September. I stay in Tana. Nice and cool. Literally 100's of girls to shag. Good food good patisserie. No rain. During the day I explore new quarters. Tana has 1. 6 million inhabitants. So go figure. The number of shaggeable girls when I consider the population pyramid is a couple of 100.000's in Tana alone.

On average when I walk around I see DOZENS of hot girls. Of course. Stay at home with momma or fly to Thailand if you speak ZERO french. Do yourself a favour. Stay in Soi6 and shag some overpriced 30+ years old hookers. And if you want to see hot girls in Bikinis or Merina Models there's swimming pools ici.

    La Buse.

Who's in slaying pirate mode now.
