For those of you that have been to Amman, what is the cost or range for a taxi from the airport to the city centre so I don't get ripped off?

Can you use Bolt, Careem or Uber in Jordan?

I am assuming I am ok to take my blue pills without any issues at the airport?

I have not had much luck in Amman. I fell for the badoo / tinder drinks scam. Met a girl by a mall and she took me to her favorite drinks place. Cost me 80 JD. Apparently the guys run the phones, and dispatch the girls to link up with you by the entrance to the mall. I also met a local off of MR, and she locked the door and her handler extorted me by whatsapp. I have found one good meet on MR. Looking for any local advice. Please PM me. Prefer non asian, but can't bo too choosy maybe.

Just a friendly reminder that Tinder in Amman is dominated by a mafia running a drinks scam. A beautiful 20 something girl. Often, but not always visiting from Palestine, Syria or Lebanon. Will match with you and sometimes will suggest moving the conversation to WhatsApp. She will eagerly respond to an invitation to grab a drink or, if you don't ask her, she will propose a date. But she will be very insistent on meeting at a particular location. She will make all kinds of excuses as to why she cannot go to your preferred location. Often she will suggest a meeting at somewhere innocuous. A McDonalds or a coffee shop at a mall. And once you meet, she will propose going to a bar she knows. Once you get to the bar, she will drink even if you don't. And then when it's time to leave, you will be presented with a bill for many hundreds of JDs and prevented from leaving by a couple of surly and burly bouncers. Luckily, I've managed to avoid this scam thus far but there are many accounts out there on the web by those who have fallen for it. Be careful.

A report or two on here suggested that the French Quarter bar in the Movenpick was something close to a pick-up bar. A few months ago, I decided to check it out. The French Quarter bar is no longer. But there is an Arabic disco (I don't recall the name) there in it's place. On a Friday night, the line was very long. Couples were being ushered in. Guys had to wait. I waited and eventually got to the front. They asked me if I had a reservation. I told them I didn't and they quoted me 75 JD. I think they gave me 5 off for staying at the hotel, so it was 70 JD in total. Probably the steepest cover charge I'the ever paid. It came with two or three free drinks, but was still ridiculous. Inside was your typical Arabic disco setup. A small dance floor, but most people were sitting in sofas around tables. Probably about 50/50 men and women. Mostly 20-somethings. Some mixed groups, but also many groups of all women. After about an hour of hanging out by the bar and walking around, a local guy stuck up a conversation. He then introduced me to a couple of female friends of his and suggested we could all hang out after we left. He instructed me to not pay any attention to the two women until we left, presumably because of local customs. After about an hour more, he indicated it was time to go. By this point, I was very drunk. The four of us left together and, as he had a room at the Movenpick, the plan was to go there. While leaving, he told me that the woman expected 200 JD. We talked a bit as we walked out and she told me that she liked foreign men. As we were approaching the entrance to the hotel, my new friend and his new date started arguing about something. Realizing how drunk I was and getting a hint of a bad vibe, I decided that it was best for me to take the opportunity to exit. My new date seemed quite understanding given the circumstances. All in all, it was an interesting night. I'm glad I checked it out, but don't regret my decision to leave when I did.

Well, Aqaba in January was lonely. Did get over to Eilat but the arrangements that had been made were fake and it was no show.

Have not had too much luck. A few generic massages. One massage that was really fantastic. Ie. 2 shots, one hour. Then I was held captive for a ripoff scheme off of MR meeting. English on WhatsApp, but clearly a handler, as she spoke no English. Then on Badoo. All English speakers were trying to get me to come to their juice bars for heavy payments for drinks. So far, it has been a masterful disaster. Nearly 800 JD and only scams and non serious providers. I welcome any tips from people with experience here. I do not trust euro girls, or MR. Not sure there are any other options. Thanks for any advice.
