But some mamis still try to get me to take their girls so they must be available. Only answer I can figure is that a few of the girls had bad foreigners and they spread the word. Now it is considered fact because the story has been told so many times and for so long. Two weeks ago I actually had a girl from that side that was good and repeated with her.
Are you really surprised? Have you seen posts from recent arrivals to Jakarta? Any girls who have encountered some of the fine specimens posting here will swear off foreigners forever and I don't blame them one bit.

Call me beautiful, so original, telling me I'm not like other girls.
I was in my zone before you came along, now I'm thinking maybe you should go.
Blah, blah, blah, blah.
I be like nah to the I, to the I, to the no, no, no!
All my ladies listen up.
If that boy ain't giving up.
Lick your lips and swing your hips.
Girl all you got to say is.
My name is no.

My number is no.
You need to let it go.
Thank you in advance, I don't want to dance (nope!

Don't want you to take this personal.

OK that did not happen. But in my mind it felt just like that. That song should be flagged as a hate song against guys by the feminists and lesbians. Watch the video.

It was me that had that experience and wrote about it. If you are at the entrance that takes you downstairs to the make out rooms, this sofa with girls is to the right of that entrance. I chose some girls on it but they looked scared and all shook their head yet I seen them willingly go with others and actually heard one speak good English and asked if the man was Muslim the girl was big and volumptous actually looked mixed like Arabian. (This was when I was coming back into the main room with a girl and walked past their sofa)
Anyway I got the mamasan she was old and small and wrote a translation for her and said I want this one the mami asked her girl shook her head and mami didn't look bothered just shrugged shoulders. I don't know if there's different levels of handlers for these girls. If the mami was chacha they wouldn't say no.
So yea here seems to be this one sofa where thy act like they are too good it's annoying.

About Classic girl outside, I agree with a very beautifull one.
They came in my home, all was rigth.
Then she get a message and invented that mother died. Obviously was untruth: I saw her two days after in the bar.
It was not a problem of stolen money, becuase she did this before I paied her. So I pay just 2 hours.
I was already thinking about illegal agreement, with no mamasan.
So it may be is better to ask to mamasan? Or you was always right?
My idea is to take girl for 1 hour, and if one is grand ask for another day full night.
Hi, so sorry. It's the Hotel Mercure Kota. NOT Manga Dua.
If you ask the Mamasan, you are going to be paying 365. ,000 per hour times 10 hours = 3. 6 mil. And then they might give you a bit of a discount. The girls work 10 hours a day 6 days a week so the mamasan isn't suspicious when they take a day off. Make arrangements on Whatsapp for her day off to be the Long Time she spends with you. This money goes directly to the girl.

Then when I meet the girl and if I trust her, I give her a card to follow me to my room after a few minutes to avoid getting noticed. This option even worked for having two girls to come to my room.
If I trust her is a hell of a qualification that you need to give a serious thought to before proceeding. Remember that even if you totally girl-proof your room, you're still on the hook for a "memento" or two she might not be able to leave behind, LOL. And yes, this is coming from personal experience (not in Jakarta, though), and it ain't fun.

Grand Harmoni Mercure is pretty decent and is about 2 Kms from classic if my memory serves me right. Actually, the bartender there was ready to come out to Bali with me within 5 minutes of me chatting with her. Tells me everyone is game in the services industry in Jakarta.

Greetings,
If you are a first timer, you will want to stay in North Jakarta because that is where most of the good brothels are. The Classic hotel is all you really need. I stayed at the Mercure Manga Dua last time for less than $50 night including breakfast for 2 and a bathtub. This is a must for me. All the girls I've taken back with me all say that having a hot bath is the first time in their lives. Imagine that. Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia. Sitting in a hot bath for an hour with a beautiful 20 year old Asian girl is the ultimate for me. I also need a balcony, but getting a hotel with balcony, breakfast AND bath is a bit much to ask these days. Even the Ritz Carlton Kuningan, Marriott and Meridien didn't have balconies.
Just go to the Classic. Second floor- there are 200 girls in there and they all cost 365,000 Rp. For 1 hour. Ask her for her Whatsapp number or phone because sooner or later you'll want a girl to spend the night. Arranging for a bar girl to spend the night isn't that difficult but remember that they are cheating the club out of their commission, so it's a bit tricky.

Thanks for the confirmations. Yup, understood on both counts on the fee and the decline part.
Do you know if the Airport ATM is better than the exchange booth? If not, no worries, I'll exchange enough to get to my hotel and find an ATM nearby.

Call the banks that issued your cards before you travel.

Take an hour or two before you travel to call your bank's customer service number. Let them know what countries you will be visiting and ask them to tell you fees for each card, credit and debit, you will be using:
1. ATM withdrawal fee (should be a fixed amount).
2. ATM foreign exchange fee (could be a fixed fee PLUS a % of the transaction amount).
3. If they refund any bank, or local bank / ATM fees.
4. Daily, weekly, monthly withdrawal limits.
5. Fees for using the card for a purchase (restaurant, retail store, service provider).
6. Foreign exchange fees on purchases.
7. For a credit card, ask about cash advance fees and limits.
8. Already noted: Do not accept local currency conversion on an ATM or POS Terminal. The local payment service provider will always add an upcharge (up to 3 or 4 %) to the exchange rate to generate additional revenue.
Next compare fees for using a debit versus credit card for each scenario. You may find that it is less expensive to take a cash advance on a credit card and then immediately make a payment on the card from your checking account to avoid additional interest charges (which compound daily).
Finally, make your least expensive card and method your primary card, but carry at least one more card from a different bank as a backup. Leave the backup in your hotel safe. Never put both cards in your wallet. If you lose your wallet or get robbed, you will still be able to do business. And consider getting a digital wallet account like PayPal or the local equivalent as well. These typically connect to your debit or credit card and your bank account and will let you send cash to others and (typically) local businesses without the need to carry your card with you. All you need is the app on your phone and Cell or WiFi service.

Yes, exchange shops always want crisp, unfolded, brand-new notes. I once exchanged money at a shop called Chandraprima, which offered excellent rates but rejected one of my £20 bills.
These days, I avoid exchanging cash in Bangkok or Jakarta. Instead, I started using UK bank account that offers fee-free forex debit cards to withdraw directly from ATMs.
Here are my ATM tips that I have shared previously here but worth repeating.
1. Avoid the ATM's currency conversion option—the rates are terrible.
2. Some ATMs hold the card until the transaction ends. I once forgot mine while counting notes. Make sure to take it back.
3. Keep a separate bank account for this card to minimize risk. Card skimming is common in Asia. I freeze the card via the bank app after each use. I had my card details leaked six months after using an ATM in Bali which I later came to know that it is a known issue in these places.

Hey Grab Feel is real. Go try it and see. And then report.

The why when you are gone the girl comes in and steals all your shit. Sounds like a very stupid and rookie thing to do, trusting prostitutes you just met and then giving them a key to your room LOL. If you ever visit Medellin Colombia, please don't try that with your parque lleras women LOL, you will literally be taken to the cleaners.

I think the above post and pictures he posted proves that he has been to Jakarta. Maybe you should RTFF a little better before you post wrong information and lies.

You think you know it all, but here you proved you don't really know shit. I think GG may have even more experience in Indonesia than you do. Maybe if you actually read the forum instead of making asinine remarks, and telling people not to take their trips, you might have found this report he posted back in April. I've also read his reports about visiting batam on the ferry from Singapore and I have found his info more helpful than the half-baked shit that you post post about overpaying for 5 star hotels and airfare just to stay only five days. Do you even know any words in bahasa Indonesia other than terima kasih? In the short satu bulan that I've been here I've picked up enough to have short conversations now.

Having said that, I was there 2 months ago and there was one club or more like a restaurant / bar with girls, opens at 6 or 8 PM on the street at Hotel Phelatan, about 40 meters up on the left.
Do you happen to know this bar name in Blok M?

An alternative is to ask your companion to meet you at the sixth-floor restaurant, assuming it's open. During my stay, I didn't notice many people lingering in the lobby, which could be a small blessing. Sadly, due to my health condition, I couldn't host any visitors myselfa truly unfortunate turn of events.

If any of you are in Jakarta and fancy meeting up tonight for drinks or need a trusty wingman, drop me a message. With any luck, my medical situation will improve soon, and I'll be able to indulge in our favourite sport. Until then, consider me your loyal sidekick for good company and a bit of banter..
You really sound like a bundle of laughs and it's quite a detailed though very negative review of a perfectly decent hotel. I stayed in this exact hotel last month then this month I stayed in Grand Mercure which was a lot more expensive but this Novotel is decent. The lobby isn't that tiny at all and I'm not sure if you stayed in the lowest grade room but I stayed in the biggest suite with 5 different rooms. I can tell you my mattress was not hard whatsoever.
