Figured I'd post my first fukuoka report here.

In hindsight, I should've done more research but honestly did not have much time so just winged the whole thing. I have just finished spending a few years in Kyushu, and would like to offer some advice. First and foremost, don't expect any good experiences outside of Fukuoka. A reasonable price (at this time) is 15-20,000 yen for 1 hour.

After that, you will be guided to a suitable establishment, which I used to think were bottom-rung, but now think are just popular and well staffed. Every time upon meeting, I think that the girl is not the greatest, or in a bad mood, but quickly they change, and have all ended up great. I can't say enough about Japanese girls in general, but they are truly in a class of their own. Keep in mind that the places all close at midnight (I usually have to rush to be there by 11).

As an afterthought, I should mention that Okinawa remains at the top of my list as far as Japan is concerned, so please check it out if you ever have a chance. Otsukare-sama-deshita!
