I have to say that I am going to strongly disagree with the general wisdom of the forum on best clubs in Rio. The most important thing is you and your buddies found what you were looking for at Monte Carlo. A couple things about Monte Carlo. I have found attractive girls there. The selection is generally small and it's pricier than 4 x4. There's also a common observation that Monte Carlo (and Centaurus) feature slim Euro-style girls who tourists generally favor. That could have also been at play.

I'm not going to spend too much time defending 4 x4, but 10:00 on a Friday is probably the worst time to go. I believe I mentioned to you that you should get there around 5 pm.

Having spent time in São Paulo at both Scandallo and Casarao (see the São Paulo thread for full report) I then hit Rio. I had not been there previously.

I have to say that I am going to strongly disagree with the general wisdom of the forum on best clubs in Rio. We were not impressed with the most recommended clubs here, but rather found a gem that doesn't get much love here. Maybe we just got lucky. A caveat is that I love Brasileiras and the amazing Brasileira bunda, but prefer a slim waist vs a thick girl where possible. So this of course colors my thinking.

First stop was Monte Carlo on a Friday afternoon because it was close by. I warned my buddy (who is kinda new to this) to not expect much, given what I'the read on the forum, but we were in for a nice surprise. As a bonus, Monte Carlo also had an English speaking receptionist and a clear pricing card that explains the options.

Monte Carlo is very much like German FKK in miniature, so we got our robe and showered. The showering area is well stocked with toothbrushes razors deodorant and mouthwash. Once refreshed, we took the narrow stairs up to the bar.

It's a small narrow bar with seating on both sides and a bar at the end. The service was great from start to finish. When we arrived at 3 Pm — they had just opened and there were 10 girls and we were the ONLY guys. We thought we would settle in but when we sat down they formed a semicircle in front of us and wanted us to pick. Once you are experienced it appears you can wave this off but we didn't know at the time.

I'the put Solarium way above 4 x4 both in facilities and girls, but a notch below MC for the girls, which is what really matters. My buddies were adamant that it was significantly below MC in girl quality (where we returned).

OK so full circle, we head back to Monte Carlo. I guess it mighta been midnight by now? Great lineup again. Mostly the same girls. But a lot more guys. The free girls make a lineup.
