Amen to that.

As a fellow Canadian allow me to try and fashion a compromise. In some cases by not haggling down to the last peso, a gringo (like John) may likely (but not in all cases) improve his experience with a chica. Conversely a gringo that jumps at the first price no matter how ridiculously high is likely to be seen as an easy mark (or chump) and may (but not in all cases) be exploited by a chica.

That said, I think John's point was that if he's losing US$25 ($50,000 pesos) by not haggling he doesn't consider it as exploitation because he's dropped US$2,000 just to be in Medellin and $25 in his universe isn't worth the effort. This line of reasoning will always upset the Cartel here on ISG who believe in strict price controls.

As and aside, I've never really understood why having the respect of a girl who takes your money (and money from many others) for sex is important to some, but as the French say Chacon a son gout.

I'm an opened minded guy and hope we can have a civilized discussion on what you just did. We never know what the true situation is when jumping into these type of posts. I had a simular situation in 07. I was at a bar in the Dominican Republic when I established a friendship with this beautiful Haitiana. She explained that she was married and her husband lives in Texas. He only visited her every six months but he sent her money monthly. Well she no longer loved him and they were getting a divorce. She had a new guy that she loved. Her husband was very jealous and abusive(she said). Well they were in litigation and he wanted to prove her unfaithful so he wouldn't have to pay alimony. Well a month later a guy does his first post on ISG with the handle"Just Checking888" and posts this Haitianas picture asking for info. I asked are you the husband and he denies it and says I'm crazy. We go back and forth for a couple posts and he disappears, never to post again. Some guys could be stalkers, abusers, family members, or boyfriends or husbands. Are we obligated to assist these guys? If a guy has a bad situation with a girl and explains that, maybe we can chime in about our experiences with her(I wouldn't). But to assist a guy with personal info not knowing the situation is wrong.

We all have met girls we get attached to and want to find out how much mileage she has on her, but is ISG the place for that? And should we really care? If you meet a trick that fucks daily at Luna Luneras why come on ISG asking who knows her?

I'm not playing Captain save a ho, and this is not an attack on the guy that posted the pics or you. I just feel its very suspect when someone is posting pictures and names asking for info without explaining why. It sneaky.

If I'm out of line I deserve to be called on it, it may add a new perspective to my thought process. As I said I'm an open minded guy.

After extensive research on the Medellin forum, I've decided to do four weeks in El Centro. Special thanks to Tungurahua and Artisttyp for describing with great detail the sleaze which has attracted me there.

I like to get my mongering done early in the day allowing more time for serious drinking. Can anyone tell me if there is daytime action in Mayorista? If not, what time does the first girl pop her pretty little head out?

I'm trying to gage taxi fares and have seen examples like Centro to Mayorista 8 to 10 k, Centro to Poblado 4 to 5 k. Can anyone tell me what the meter starts at when they drop the flag and the rate per km?
