Posts: 2529About CDG-BOG and BOG-XXX connections in Bogota

1) If you fly with AirFrance, they are allied with Avianca (not codeshare, though) and thus they issue conveniently a single ticket from Europe including the connection, e. G. :
XX-CDG AF nnn.
CDG-BOG AF0422.
BOG-MDE AV90nn.
Note that the additional return segment BOG-MDE cost very little.
2) Avianca has more flights, and thus the AV connection is more convenient, usually. 1:30 between the arrival of CDG-BOG and the departure BOG-MDE is more than enough (I did it many times) , including also the time for immigration.
3) Most important, if you buy a single ticket from AirFrance, including the AV flight BOG-MDE, you will be not worried about flight delays. If CDG-MDE is delayed, they rebook you and you don't lose your money. If you have two separate tickets AF+another carrier, delays on the first flight will make you lose your second flight and your money too.
4) Last, the time you need to go from the International El Dorado Airport to the Puente Aereo is few minutes. It's their standard procedure, so don't be worried.
Have fun and enjoy. I am not in a sex prison like USA, but here it is sad anyway.

Posts: 2043If you can change your ticket you will save a lot of hassel
Aero Republica is at the other end of the international terminal. All you do is go throught immigration at Eldorado, go upstairs and check your bags with aero repubiica to Mde. Very simple. No shuttle busses.

If you have ONE ticket (Airfrance and Avianca are partners: when you buy a ticket from AF from Europe to MDE, you buy a single ticket XX-CDG-BOG-MDE, where BOG-MDE is AV90nn), you will be checked in through MDE from Europe, Paris or whatever. Your luggage will be delivered to MDE. Just pass immigration and turn right to take the bus to the other airport (Puente Aereo).
If you have TWO tickets, I think you can be checked-in anyway through MDE. If not, after immigration pick up your luggage, pass the customs, turn right and go to the Avianca transfer desk, where you can check in for BOG-MDE and to the bus to the other airport (Puente Aereo).
At all times, ask any Avianca personnel in uniform. They will welcome you with a smile and you will not be lost.
PS: I think Manizales travels from USA. From Europe and with AF, no hassle: check-in through final destination.

I will be traveling to Medellin with Airfrance and Avianca via Bogota. Would like to know if I would need to collect my suitcase at Bogota and check it in with Avianca for my flight to Medellin or will it transfer automatically? Also how do I get from the international terminal to the domestic terminal at Bogota? Is it well signed posted and is it free?
I would be grateful for any help someone can give.

Gentlemen,
I have been in Bogota a few times over the last couple of years.
I have always stayed at a hotel near the Adino Mall.
Can anyone suggest some place to go to around that area that is safe?
I am always as by street guys trying to get me to go to some place.
I have had bad experiances in Strip clubs.
I like bars where I can pick and choose.
I guess it travel to much to Costa Rica and Panama.
Please tell me if you have any suggestions.
Thank you,
CL

Was in Santa Fe new yrs eve and day- totally dead—but no biggee since I only live a few miles away.
But Tonite- Goodtimes – got a new hottie SG fresh off the bus from Medellin.
Hope to see her again soon and recruit her for my photo project.
So I have been there a lot in the last few months have 3-4 hot street girls that I can call and make sure they are there. – I notice a lot of Great talent coming from Manizales least that's what they tell me.
Went to a few clubs Troya was closed . I like Troya reminds me of Adelitas in Tijauna. I was going there a few weeks ago and met a really beautiful 20 yr old from Cartegena just a living doll 8+ (sorry can't remember her name) – Usually get away with $40000 here but this girl gets her $50000 +room—just too cute.
Casona –Lotsa Hotties tonite. Will defiantly go back! .
Fiebre – Not so much – But I like the lay-out and will give it another chance.
Venus—I love going to Venus because it's so 3rd world I've seen wild things there. Like a few weeks ago actual live sex on the stage. This young guy from the audience boned the stripper hard and was congratulated after by his pals. (She was Ok like a 6).
The thing about Venus is I think it is Hooker training camp. Because I see a lot of girls who if they're not 18 they're 16-17. So BE CARFUL :/I mean that there are some very average girls and sprinkled among them are these Super Hot 8-9's with dopy Teenage attitudes. And the price in there is cheap ($20-$30 MIL) And I know if these girls could work up North or Troyas—they would. Actually I think you have to be carful in Manizalitas and Romance too—these are part of Hooker School too. I believe.
In any case—I look forward to 2011 and More Good Times in Santa Fe.

Forget it!
I am in the emerald business . I go directly to, probably, the most famous emerald mine in the world in an armoured huey with 4 ex-special forces guys. 2- 50 cals 2 mp5's.
FARK all over the place, someone dies there almost every day-Just google Muzo Mine. Read the first article.
Just as a ps the Chivor (Boyaca) emeralds are considered second to Muzo.
They try to screw me at the mine with rough emeralds, and I have been trading them for more than 40 years. . . You do not have a chance on Ave. Jimenez. They write books about the treatments that are done to emeralds, and I will bet you 10, 000 dollars you can not tell a manmade (synthetic emerald) from a natural one.
Go to Colombia to Get laid, there you know what you are doing.
