Walk to outside the airport. Around 10 minutes. Get a taxi there. About 50% cheaper. Have them turn on the meter. To Sanur around Rp 40,000.

After you exit the arrival area, go to your right. You will see a Taxi window about 30 meters from the exit. It looks much like the money changer stalls you just past BEFORE you came out the doors. There will likely be a line but it moves quickly. You tell the guy your destination in Sanur and you will pay him (not the driver). It will be a fixed amount. A driver takes your luggage and you are on your way.

There are cheaper ways but not for first time visitors like yourself. TTG

My two cents worth is if she is attractive and willing to do 4 hrs for at the moment about Rp 900. 000 then if she likes you she will probably stay the night. Just personal experience

I have heard some ridiculous pricing going around at the moment in clubs for a decent girl you could be looking at between 500. 000 to 1. 500. 000 now comes the tricky bit. Some girls will say thats for short time others will say all night. Its a matter of buyer beware. Get the facts all worked out early and then all should be fine. If you are after some of the better looking girls, I would suggest, Dejavu, Sky Garden and surprisingly Bosche, but expect to be hit with a bigger price there, the girls are used to big spending jakarta boys.

Well in that case, if I can't get anyone for 300, 000 (350, 000 max) LT, I will be confining my escapades to the Flea Pit! I have already started a few conversations on Tagged so I may not need P4P at all.

I find Tagged and Date in Asia are by far the best places for Free action. But you have to put in the effort. Don't expect to just get on there and pull a good one straight away. These girls are be hammered everyday by mongers so treat them with a little respect and they come all over you. Many of the girls complain to me that there are so many men just asking for sex on these sites. I play the concerned nice guy and 9 times out of 10 within 30 minutes of meeting we are doing the horizontal mambo.

Do the ground work and it will definately be in your favour.

FS was quite enthusiastic till we heard lots of men talking outside. I suspected a police raid but she didn't tell me to stop so we just finished. After I got out there was indeed around 5 police men standing around. They didn't seem to bother about me though so I just paid up and left.

Instead of a raid, it may have been a police "visit" (to collect bribe money from the management) , and even if it had been a raid, the male customers are usually not busted, but still - that must have been a scary moment!

I've previously stayed at a place called Dewi Sri, it is located in a lane running off the intersection of Jl Legian and Poppies2.

(This is where the Bali memorial is too.)

It's quiet enough, and has been refurbished recently, which it needed when I was there.

I agree with Vader on this one Dewi Sri is looking really good now and very girl friendly. You will be literally a 3 minute walk from the main action at night and yet far away so the music isn't annoying. An Alternative is Ida Hotel behind Kuta Square. They too have just been renovated and is nice and quiet at night. Its run by the same company as Dewi Sri and has an Australian manager so things are kept very clean and tidy.
