Any pointers for santiago. Totally new here, and I don't even speak Spanish.

I was able to get some contacts online but not sure how safe they are. Till now everyone I have met, be it a shopkeeper, taxi, hotel reception or anyone else, They all say to keep the phone in pocket and carry as little money as possible.

Ans what is the situation of hotels here. Do they allow guests?

Yep Tacna is the place, there's a $4 bus that takes an hour between Arica and Tacna.

Also Tacna has a bunch of cheap S /15-25 chongos as well as place to get cheap electronics (due to free port).

Which visa do you mean? Visa to enter Chile?
It depends which nationality you are.
In case you are american visa is not needed and a few months ago Chile ended reciprocity entry fee for US nationals.

Hi guys,

I've been reading some posts and enjoyed your tips for Chile. Just want to clarify a few things so you don't get confused:

Completos refers to the service (complete service) this means anal sex included. There are other type of "completos" (food) and that is the term for chilean Hot Dogs (with tomato, avocado, mayonnaise). So don't get confused if any local friend invites you a completo.

To my understanding "empotamiento" refers to falling in love."Empotamiento level" means how much you fall in love with your chica.
