Good to see you post after a long time. I didn't mean this as an academic or lecturing exercise. Last couple of days, I went through the experience where I turned down two SPs, one for 1 k and another. 5 k. Then I spent 3. 5 k in regrettable accommodations.

I started doubting whether I am making right choices here. Hence, developed a framework on what should be my tolerance band when negotiating with SPs or in B2B MPs.

In US of A, a Marlboro packet cost $20. If we convert to INR, its about 1200. Thats way too expensive to think of buying with price. But people still smoke. Its normal for them. An average person may earn, say, $1500-2500 per week, so spending $50-60 for little 'adventure' should be ok, as much as we earn about INR 18 k / month spend INR. 1500-2500 for 'relaxing' once in a while.

If you had compared UK, then we cannot afford. LOL. On other hand, one cannot compare the quality betwween India and West (good or bad).
