Need a little help. I have been to either Lidos or Loutron. The place I have been to you walk inside the bar is to the left and then it opens up to a big atrium (2 floors). Is that Lidos or Loutron? Is Lido now called Angelos VIP? Can someone tell me the difference between the two? The atmosphere? Probably headed there tonight since Fiebre on Saturdays seems to be too packed with guys. Thanks!!

Yes, it was 50 K for the multa. I thought that was low too. The places I'd been to before wanted 70 K and up. Also, it felt like Guadalajara was just a little better run than some of the clubs in Santa Fe. But this is just my initial feeling. This was my first time in Primero de Mayo and I only spent a few hours there. I didn't know the place existed until WT 69 updated the map. Primero de Mayo definitely felt more safe. I think that's because there are also regular guys and girls out there to go clubbing. Although, the part of Santa Fe that I frequent (Between Calle 24-22 and Carrera 14-16 A) isn't really dangerous. It's just that it feels grimey and dangerous, and the beggars are a bit more relentless. I still haven't completely let my guard down, but I've come to realize that a lot of what looks dangerous to us when we visit other parts of the world is just the result of poverty.

Sokta, thanks for the report on 1 de Mayo, and I can't agree more with your assessment of Santa Fe.

After WT69 mentioned 1 de Mayo, I was looking up on all I could find about the place. On YouTube, the videos on 1 de Mayo are all about the disco-type clubs there. Will definitely make a trip there next time, as I was told 1 de Mayo is also the Mecca of roast pigs in Bogota.

Nice report. I've scoped out that strip of clubs on Primero de Mayo on Google Maps before, but never been there in person. What was your feeling security-wise, do you think the strip is more dangerous than Santa Fe or about the same? I see a love motel just a couple blocks down from Guadalajara, a very short cab ride away. Also, just to confirm, you said takeout fee was 50 k? You mean the multa to take the girl out of the club right? That's a pretty low fee compared to most other venues. I guess the managers realized better to get a small piece of the action than nothing by jacking the price up so high, the chicas and guys just swap numbers and take the business outside.

I don't know all the prices in Guadalajara because I took the girl I know out. The takeout fee is 50 K. I think lap dances are 20 K. I think 20 min is from between 50-70 K. Also, I paid 100 K for a bottle of Ron Medellin. Also, I went into one club called Materas on Primero de Mayo before I went into Guadalajara. The only thing I remember from that place was that the selection of girls was terrible and that Poker beer in a can was 4 K. I hope this info helps.

I was just in Bogota this weekend. A few of the clubs were closed last week with a sign on the door that says "Sellado" (sealed). I know that Venus and A'Tun were closed for sure. I don't know how long it will last. One of the girls I know said it was because the owners did not pay the police enough. I have no idea how true that is, but it sound right to me. Strangely enough, a lot of the girls and staff from Venus were at Guadalajara on Primero de Mayo. One of the girls I know from Venus invited me to come out there. Since I'd never been out there, my wing and I took the trip. We got out there at about 1 am early Friday night / Saturday morning. It's pretty interesting. Primero de Mayo feels more spread out than Santa Fe. It also seems to have a mixture of regular clubs and bars along with the type of strip clubs you'd find in Santa Fe. The girl I knew from Santa Fe said that she preferred Guadalajara over Venus because in Primero de Mayo is safer for the girls and that more of the clients buy lap dances and take the girls upstairs as compared to Santa Fe.

Did not get to go back Th night due to dinner with colleagues and left on Friday AM. Will try to get back there for all pleasure, no business. I want to also try Panama as have read good things on this site.

I was not impressed maybe 6-7's. I went to left and entered mezzanine 13, better selection there. Prices 60-70 K for 30 minutes depending on what you want. I did not indulge but may go back tomorrow.

Do you pay before or after massage etc, I assume before?

It was getting dark when walked back to WTC. About 15-20 min walk one way. If I can get free from work before they close tomorrow I will enjoy and report.

The mezzanines are a number of spas (5-6) on the second floor of a shopping plaza. Walk up the stairs, you'll see a small "convenience" store (a large window, not a walk in store) depending on the time of day there may be a handful of patrons sitting in front drinking beer, do not mind them. If you go right of the store, just walk down all the way down and there is you first one, that is my favorite. You walk in, you'll see the girls hanging around, probably will flirt with you, one of them will take you to one of the rooms, and bring the girls to you one by one. You pick one or move on to the next mezzanine. Heads up, if you decide to stay there or any of the other mezzanines, know that the rooms are VERY small, you do the deed in a typical massage table, and walls are paper thin. If you are comfortable with all that you are good to go. The girl will tell you how much for the service, for how long. Service is basic you can negotiate extras with the girls. There are 2 mezzanines to the right of the store, and I believe 3 maybe 4 to the left and around. Feel free to walk in, check the girls and walk out to check the girls at the next one. They are used to that, but my experience has been that the one at the end on the right has the prettiest girls, a little bit more but. What is 5 uSD extra?. Service for the hour I believe is 80k, 50k for 30 mins. Or along those lines. It has been a year or so since I visited. A plus with the mezzanines is that you can easily get the girl's cell phone for an outside meet, I had a couple of great times with girls I met there and later came to my hotel.

Yes you could walk to the mezzanines from WTC, probably a 10 minute walk (been there done that), just make sure you know where you are going, there is a cross street under the overpass that can throw you off. Good luck and do report back.

Hotel near world trade center is a good distance from Santa Fe but a very short distance fromthe Mezzanines. If your preference is an hour GFE then I would not recommend Santa Fe, girls there are Pros +++, while the girls at the agencies, and spas (including the Mezzanines) are for the most part more semi-pros, you chance there is much better there to find what you are looking for, and you will probably pay less for the hour than in Santa Fe. (my opinion), other good options are indys that advertise via twitter. Most offer hour long (or longer) GFE services.

Taxis, most taxis in Bogota subscribe to "easy taxi" a safer option than just hauling a taxi off the street. Note that you will need internet access to use the apps. Uber I believe operates in country, another option is get as indicated by jjbee, hotel to get you a taxi but, get the taxi driver to give you his name and number, when you need him just call him, trust me they will welcome the business, make sure to tip him and he will be loyal to you.

In LatinAmerica whatsapp is the most popular app for chatting, most everyone has it, getting it depends on how long you will reman in country and how often you will visit Latin America. If you will be in country just a few days with no plans of returning frequently I would not bother.

Be safe, use common sense, trust your instincts, let your big head stay in control, have fun.

Although I don't know the casas in Chapineros, it is a good options for you based on Parkinson's reports and what you are looking for. I can't say much about the places in Chapinero cause I don't have first hand experience there. As for Santa Fe, sex and encounters tend to be fast unless you willing to pay for the time. The sessions in Santa Fe are usually 15-20 minutes sessions, but the good thing is that those sessions are supper cheap, about 30-40 K or 10-13 dollars for that time. For that short time period is difficult to get a GF experience but if you find something you like, you may find GFE if you pay for more time.

For day action (morning to evening), I recommend you visit La Piscina de DIA and El Encanto (Next to La Piscina night club) casas. Some of the best clubs in Santa Fe are: Fiebre Sex, Paysa Clubs, and Troya Club. Also La Piscina night club is good, but the girls are more expensive. Your little Spanish may be a problem because most girls don't speak English, but money often does wonders and I am sure the putas would be motivated to communicate with you just as you with them. As for the taxis, I don't like to take taxis not even in the USA so I am the wrong person to ask. In Colombia, I prefer to walk and take public transportation. If you are nervous about taking a random taxi, have the hotel you go to arrange a taxi for you.
