Puerto Plata scene update.
I have had a few encounters with chics here in Puerto Plata that I have met on Facebook I'd like to share. As quiet as it's kept there are chics here that are NOT having sex with me. I cannot speak as to what they are doing with others but with me they have been straight as an arrow. Recently I have met a few chics that have even been to my apartment and demonstrated all the signs that they like me but refused to have sex without commitment. If those individual situations develop I may share them going forward.
From where I sit Puerto Plata being so close to Sosua is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because chics here are available because they know they can earn extra money with their bodies. A curse because some of the chics here try to adapt the attitudes and prices of the chics in Sosua. There are chics here that would never go to Sosua, there are chics here who would only go to Sosua occasionally or under dire circumstances and there are chics here who work in Sosua.
Here are some personal anecdotes to give you an idea of the mentality here. I have friends that regularly pay chics between 800 and 1500 pesos per meet. These same chics will try to get 2500-3000 if they can from someone else. The question is where did they get the figure 2500 or 3000 pesos from? You guessed it our favorite Hoe Town.
Some chics here will not blink at my request for 2 BBBJ's and 2 leches and others will freak out. Some will disconnect with you after sex and others will GFE and cook and clean my apartment like they are really my novia. In short my anecdotal experience is that if I find a chic in Puerto Plata that does not go to Kviar or Sosua to work on a regular basis she will probably be softer and easier to deal with than the harder Kviar or Sosua chics.
Obviously Sosua remains a viable option for as long as Sosua is as we know it but Puerto Plata is fertile ground once you find your groove here.

2) What time must you re-embark?
3) What sort of girls do you like?
I live in Puerto Plata. Post your replies here or PM me if you prefer.

Posts: 311 day cruising at Amber Cove
Hey guys!
I'll be in Dominican Republic for one day on a cruise ship and will have time to sneak away from the family. There a little strip joint or bar w / a cutie during the day a guy could get his hands on? Any information so very appreciated. I do my best to report on my locations when I can find any sort of privacy.
Thank you so very much!

It depends on what room you get, because they range from 2 to 5 stars. Renovated Junior Suites in Cofresi are really 4* quality, but the old ones in Tropical are atrocious even when everything works. And chasing la carte restaurants reservations is an adventure, too.
Having said that, I really love the grounds at Tropical and Cofresi. I actually prefer them to many 5* resorts I've been to. The place is huge with plenty of deep swimming pools, and the mere size of it prevents you or at least me from being bored.
Those cheap Playa Dorada resorts can't compare IMHO. I stayed at one not far from FOD (the name escapes me now) for one night. The room smelled like a wet mop, and the food was terrible. The beaches are prettier than Lifestyle's, though.
Staying at Lifestyle in May, but this time booking via a "shareholder" with better accommodations and better AI access. Not cheap, though.
If anyone's around there mid-May, be happy to buy you an umbrella drink. .

It's an expansive property and they ride around in golf carts and offer to give you a ride and there begins the troll to take you to the sales center. One guy gave us a ride to the restaurant and waited for us to finish in the hopes I would change my mind! I did like the bathrooms in the section we were in (I think Cofresi Palm Beach), very spacious!
At both hotels we were on the third floor and there was no elevator, so if you can't walk up three flights of steps, be sure to request a lower floor.
The Sunday night show at Lifestyles and the accompanying buffet is amazing!
I would stay at either one again.
I also stayed once at what used to be a Barcelo Hotels property in Playa Dorada which is now called Sunscape. Under Barcelo, it was fine although the rooms were a bit dated. The shows were terrible.

FWIW, I've stayed there a few times. Here are my observations.
1. What I love about this resort is the grounds. It's huge with a number of deep-water swimming pools. The VIP beach with beds and cold water Jacuzzies is great, too.
2. Their business model is a pure timeshare scam. Just remember that, and you'll be fine. When someone stops you in your tracks -- that's a sales pitch, no matter what they tell you. Say no and keep walking.
3. Bargains are still around. I've payed $12, $15 and $19 PPPN (not a typo, see above about timeshare). These rates are gone now, but you can still get it at $40-50 PPPN. Single supplement costs more, but still below $100 PN. Check Cheap Caribbean for Lifestyle or Cofresi (same resort). I recommend a Junior Suite in Cofresi add-on, more costly, but much, much nicer.
And they often give better deals to Groupon, Living Social and Travelzoo, so check those too.
4. It's a great opportunity to wife up for a few days. Find a "wife" in Sosua, than book LHVS for $100 for 2 people. Doesn't get cheaper than that.
5. Accommodations vary from shitty to great. We've been upgraded to Junior Suites twice -- beautiful room with marble floors and a hot tub. Third time, they gave us a really shitty room. By that time, they'd probably known we weren't buying. On the other hand, no one bothered us with the sales pitches.
6. You can get your chica in for the cost of an AI package ($60 PD a few years ago).
7. If you're lucky, you can find chicas inside, sometimes. Once, we picked up 2 chicas inside who were staying there working the tourists (or maybe they were just recouping their vacation expenses). I've seen hookers on other occasions, too.
8. If you're single, there is another way in. Rent from an LHVS member on VRBO / Home Away. That will get you a different bracelet with access to top shelf liqueur and more amenities.
9. The drinks are watered down, but they know how to make the best of them. The food is adequate, not spectacular. I've heard some poisoning tales from the guests. Never had a problem myself. If you're concerned, a Cipro course may help.

You don't Have to attend their Tineshare presentation and don't ever buy it cause it's worth zero.
October is the best for the lowest rates. Thursday arrival and Monday checkout is what I recommend for the best shows and the one on Thursday is super good. They are only resort with a real nightclub ... and that opens at about 1130 and closes at about 3 or 330 am and is part of the all inclusive.
I always go with a chica and they love it! I have paid from $90 to $115 for 2 at The Tropical there and about $125 for a Junior Suite at their Cofresi buildings. There are several brands within the resort and all are owned by the Lifestyle group .
Going again this May. And I have already booked it! I book through Travelocity in the US. LOL. I never take any girls from Sousa as I have many contacts in Puerto Plata .

Posts: 58Playa Dorada resorts. Recommendations
Hey, on my next trip I'm probably do an all-inclusive with just one chica. Trying something different. Most likely at Playa Dorada, but recommendations from Lifestyles work also. I'm looking for a nice place, well maintained or recently remodeled. More luxurious, quiet and intimate, rather than a huge place with loud shows and tons of activities. I'd rather it cater to couples rather than families.
I was really liking Casa Colonial. Seemed perfect until I saw it wasn't all-inclusive. It was then too pricey.
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.
