Sorry, seeing that you guys at least aren't up in arms about it, I thought I'the try to make light of the situation. Next time approach the bars with each of you waving 30 k baht, in each of your hands, as you are about to enter. Seriously. Heck it's just $600 .

If it's any consolation, I've been turned away from clubs in NYC (when I was in my 20's and worked in Wall St and went wearing a pin stripe suit (because I was not good looking enough and did not have a girl (they try to manage the guy- girl ratio) and last month in Madrid, Spain, because, I think, of my age (both places also had a significant cover charge to enter). But I found another that was no 2 in Madrid that let me in with a promo coupon! So, you are not alone! Go to Brazil man. Or Colombia.

Until Thais learn to differentiate the few good eggs vs the mostly bad eggs, it will be a tough time for Indians because of the stereotyping.

That's an awful lot for an hotel in Pattaya. There are discounted two-bedroom villa around the same price. Get an high-rated Hotel or serviced apart around Pattaya Klang, Pattaya Nua, or just across Sukhumvhit for about 700 Baht. Add 150 a day for a motorbike rental and you will be on WS in 3 minutes, and off the hands of motorbike Taxis.

You can get plenty of nice hotels around Pattaya for under 2200 baht. Camelot rooms should run under 1200 baht taxes included.

At this point in my life I like to keep girls I like for 3-4 days or even 10 days. Last time in Pattaya, a girl in her mid 20's who I had originally met at Insomnia (an ex go go girl) and who had returned home to her family farm in Isaan took an overnight bus to come stay with me for 10 days, with no talk ever about money. Hopefully the blanket ban from clubs like Baccarra, Peppermint and Sensations does not spread to other gogos and soapies but for how long I wonder having seen the hordes in person.

Funny thing, the bouncer at Peppermint said members only and I asked with a smile. Can I become one? And he pointed out at the Indian restaurant right across the street and said 'member there'. Oh well! He is well trained.

We had a good time at CH and Windmill but only got inside after we acknowledged the mandatory drink purchase which is not bad really since you need a beer anyways. Who goes to a strip club and does not buy beer? That says a lot about my compatriots.

That particular night CH had lot of average girls and 2 very hot girls. Windmill had a younger crop of which about half were better than average looking. Living dolls had about a dozen average looking ones with zero customers inside except us and after a drink we came back to CH and I barfined one of the hotties, the other was gone by then.

Just back from a fantastic 5 day trip to LOS. Hope this helps someone!

Day 1.

Landed at Bangkok after a bumpy red-eye flight from Mumbai. Immigration lines weren't long, and I was fortunate to get the faster immigration officer. A few friends, in another queue, got the patient officer, who was rationing the passengers at snails pace. They only came through after I had collected the bags, and made my way back near immigration counters! 3 people in 20 minutes! Must be some record!

Ride to Pattaya (pre-booked cab) was also late. And, all 5 dudes were tired and hungry after waiting another 30 minutes. Would this be one of those forgettable trips? (Spoiler alert: it wasn't).

We were put up at the Camelot, being close to Walking Street was a good idea. Got the hotel cheap at around 2200 baht a night. However, the rooms are damp, musty and stinky. It's an older property, and needs an overhaul to keep with the times. It is frequently by the group tours, where an overnight stay does no harm to it's reputation. Would not recommend. Surprisingly, saw many Russian (or maybe, Uzbek) gals staying there. Course, Indian dudes would never get a second look from them, sigh!

Our first destination for the evening was the soapy massage places; one member of the group was a Thailand virgin, and we wanted him to have a guaranteed start! We dropped in at Honey 2 to start with. On my previous trip, this had been the best of the lot. Choices start at 2500, all the way upto 4000 baht. However, virgin dude was uncertain, and we decided to hop over to the other soapies, and check out the options. (Quick tip: Baht bus will drop you off free; they make 50/100 bucks for each customer they bring in. Your hand is marked when you enter). Anyway, off to Rasputin next, which usually has a bevy of beauties. Rasputin had a similar range - 2500,3000, 3500 and then a jump to 5000 - the models (who were really hot, BTW). Going with the flow we then went to PP Massage (nothing worth checking out here), and finally to Honey1.

I picked Tuktuk in Honey1 (# M106), and she was a good pick. Tall, shapely, big boobs (enhanced, but very well done). She was friendly, and chatted me up to the room. The soapy massage was phenomenal, Tuktuk took great care of every part of me. The usual - "you so big" comment was laughable though. The music was great (I forget the name of the band though), and we chorused our way through a few drinks.

Exhauted, and yet somehow not so, we headed back to the hotel.

Sitting at the pool now, recovering from one of the top 5 sessions of my life last night. Met a bar girl from soi 7, we had some drinks together, played a few games and then I barfined her. 2000 LT. She is not the youngest or most beautiful, more the girl next door type, but easy on the eyes.

How many you guys try room service? My hotel has the best food / prices I've seen anywhere at 115 baht for Thai dish with rice. Quality and quantity of the food is really good. A great surprise.

I concur, hotel food can be surprisingly good at reasonable prices (compared to tourist places anyway). But not in every hotel and not all the time in my experience. Depends on the cook who is on duty I suppose.

I'm 45 and went to iBar and Insomnia a couple times last week with BM Amex. Most of the chicks that I talked to wanted 2K off the bat (like Haven I only do LT from the discos). So for a guy willing to pay that much that place should be a goldmine. Myself, if I can't get them down to at least 1,200 then I find one that I can. This is another one of the many strange things that happen to us the disco punters. At the beginning it gave on my balls a lot, now I've learned to use it a my own advantage, meaning that it allows me to collect more signals. Which is why in Pattaya I stick to the discos, arrive after 1 pm and p / u after 2/3 am. And try to find good solid 6. 5 and 7's. I dont succeed all the time !!! However, since I stay for a only or longer I am quite patient. Of course, YMMV will surely vary if you are under 35 and have looks and game.
