I contracted some skin infection which I am sure must be from the bed or pillow of a spa. It is not as itchy as ring worms and it is not in the groin as in ringworm but all over the stomach and chest and even shoulder. Some on the bicep area as well. Has anybody contracted any such skin disease. Going to visit the doctor this week but just wanted to know what it could be.

Feeling like shit. I know there are some doctors so asking your opinion as well as from seasoned mongers.

Also how to prevent such thing in future?

Most probably it's tinea versicolor which is a variety of jock itch / athlete's foot which can occur on upper portion of body. I had it 2 years back and got rid of it by having 6 months course of antifungal tablets, powders, creams and soap. It will take a lot of time to get rid of and you will have to take care of it seriously once it's gone because it recurs easily.

Had to go to Gurgaon recently for some work. Then thought about watching a movie, so went into a nearby mall.
