i've had the same issues as you.

And i've found that the best resort is to not use oil as when you have a bath you come into contact with both the dirty bathroom and the soap both which leave smells.

I allow the use of cream and get it wiped off with a hot wet towel.

Prague is safest and best place. Kiev is good but you got to be careful due to political unrest.
