Create an alternate profile for yourself. Do a little research on girls that are known and open prepagos. Start a convo, then ask for a cita. They will say a number, ask what is included, then bargain. Try a few below. I spent 2 months building mine before my first trip. I literally have a spreadsheet. If they don't respond on facebook, try instagram.

You can register a phone with any valid passport or a Colombian cedula. No phone purchase receipt is necessary. You don't even have to be in Colombia to register the phone; you can do it over the Internet from anywhere. You must know the IMEI (basically the serial number) of the phone you want to register.

But at one point you must swap sim cards or have an international plan on an American company's system. It all sounds nice until you arrive here in Medellin without an unlocked foreign phone and attempt to use it. Good luck walking into any official tigo store & officially registering a phone with an American passport. You can buy sim cards at any tigo carrier, but after 30 days, they will block the phone. I can assure you this! Pollonegro is out!

I'm sorry this happened, but it makes me wonder if people actually read this forum. There is some very good advice on here (and occasionally bad advice). One of the warnings most frequently offered is don't drink anything that's been out of your sight, even if for a few seconds.

Even reading through Trip Advisor will likely give you some of the same warnings.

Read this forum? Makes me wonder if people have ever left their house! I guess I get it though. If guys aren't used to women and they get the little head thinking in place of the big head when someone shows them some type of attention, then they are subject to do anything.

Is a factura, it shows proof of purchase. So if you try to register one without that receipt / factura. Good luck. But do you know how many phones I have without a receipt. . sometimes it just pays for me to not post. Without your receipt / factura, it will be impossible to register a outside the country phone. Without a cdula, forget registering the phone at all! Pollo negro is out!

Actually you pretty much nailed it, however I wouldn't ask if they are hoes from the get go. The way I've done it is have a casual conversation at first and then casually ask how much would she charge for you to see her. Negotiate from there on the price and what's included. All this I've done over a course of a few days. Like others have said not all answer and not all are prepagos. I met a few they weren't and I played it off. They still wanted to hang but unfortunately with limited time and money it wasn't possible.

I have so much to write about but so little time. In a nutshell:

Came here for 5 days. Banged 5 chicks. Due to a budget and unforeseen costs I had to limit the amount of leches I had. 2 Facebook chicks and 3 casa girls. I did several rounds on Veracruz but none really caught my eyes and honestly most looked down right dirty (just my opinion! Facebook girl #1 was a 6 but great attitude. Paid 80 k with video. Facebook #2 paid 100 k with video. Was easily a 9. Surprised she had a kid. Easily hottest mom I ever encountered, could never tell she had a baby and was relatively tight. First ever GF experience I've had. Definitely made me believe she was into me (probably was the money though). The scene in Medellin is amazing: the women are much more sensuous in my experience, much more varied as far as looks, and it's a world-class city to boot. You should have no problem finding 8+ girls no matter what your personal scale is, and Tinder is only the (most expensive, least effective) tip of the iceberg here.

In Aug-17, I bought a Claro chip in Bogota from a small store in Chapinero for 10 k pesos. I did not have to register the chip, or show any ID whatsoever. I used that same chip on my second phone, an unblocked Motorola Moto E, on 4 separate trips to Colombia in the last 12 months. Not only did the chip not expire, the data package from my prior trip carried over on each new trip. My trips were spaced about 90 days apart.

Claro seems to be the safest route to go. Tigo, will definitely block your phone, your sim choice was a wise one!

I am not disputing that everything you write has happened to you, but it is not correct. Earlier this year, I gave a cellphone I bought on ebay to a friend and she registered it. I gave her a picture of the receipt from ebay, but I don't know if she needed it. The only identification on the receipt was the manufacturer and model. I registered my cellphone and all I needed was a copy of my passport.

I think the reason for requiring registration is to curtail the thief of cellphones. Once a phone has been reported stolen, it can't be registered by another person.

Playing with the idea of coming to Medellin, Bogota or my usual destination Pattaya in December. Never been to Colombia before but I decided to tinder plus into the 2 stated cities and damn those girls look fine. My question is: would you recommend a solo trip to one of those cities for 2 weeks or should I stick with Pattaya?

I wouldn't mind Pattaya honestly but I am slowly getting bored of Asian girls and want to try something new.

My absolute priority would be to go for young 8+ kinda girls. Think that is a realistic expectation?

Personally, I prefer Latinas over Asians in looks. If I was blind-folded, performance in bed from the Colombianas and the Asians is similar. There are good and not-so-good in both cultures. There are plenty of young ladies available in Colombia. An 8+ can only be determined by your own eyes.

For me, if everything in the two places was equal, I would look at travel time. If you decide on Colombia, I suggest the first week in Medellin and the second in Bogota.
