There is a way easier solution. I buy this Three-UK SIM card off Amazon and it has free roaming in 70 different countries, including all of Europe and of course Colombia. It's 12 GB for $45 valid for one year, which works out to about $3/ GB which I think is cheaper than here if you buy local. You don't get local SMS or calling but everyone has whatsapp so who cares. Pop it in, and you're good to go. Works in USA as well if you need backup data (it's nice because you can pick your provider in case of bad signal). I use about 3-5 gb per month.

But at one point you must swap sim cards or have an international plan on an American company's system. It all sounds nice until you arrive here in Medellin without an unlocked foreign phone and attempt to use it. Good luck walking into any official tigo store & officially registering a phone with an American passport. You can buy sim cards at any tigo carrier, but after 30 days, they will block the phone. I can assure you this! Pollonegro is out!

Go to claro.com.co, follow the links to mobile and register the phone with your passport and the phone number of your Claro SIM. The bit about a receipt pertains to phones purchased in Colombia. Your IMEI will indicate to Claro whether the phone was purchased in Colombia or not. Good luck.

Depends on what you're looking for. What do you like about Pattaya specifically?

There is a lot of good advice (and warnings) about Tinder and Facebook and other platforms as far as establishing some contacts before you arrive. I live here, but my experience has been that these have been more expensive and less dependable. And they take a lot of work, although the work can be kind of fun, especially if you're prepping for a vacation.

If you want to immediately get into the action, go to a place like Energy where you'll get a lineup of talent and can choose your personal 8+. Five minutes later you'll both be naked.

If you want to establish a little chemistry first, go to one of the Centro clubs: Conejitas, Barra Executiva, or Maracaibo. (All of these are on the shared map. Hopefully you've discovered that already).
