After Dream Heaven, I stopped by next door to Rung Reung noodle shop. I ordered two medium noodle dishes, one with soup and one without. Very good for 120 baht including the iced longan drink. I find the one close to Dream Heaven and the open area to be slightly better, but the other one has an easier menu where you can exclude the organ meats.

The Bridge and the cemetery are not worth the trip. But the War Museum, about a 5 minute walk from the Bridge down their little main street, is very much worth spending a couple of hours browsing around, imo. There is a big chunk of the original Bridge in there for one thing. Nazi and Japanese Generals' limos circa 1940s. Weaponry, helmets and uniforms, tons of never seen (by me) photos of the labor camps and farangs in them. Almost nobody knows about it or goes there. 50 baht entrance fee. Wish I had spent more time checking out the exhibits. Also, as long as you are in that general area, Erawan Falls is worth a hike up to the top of the 7 falls and take a slide and swim. Not for the frail of body getting all the way up there.

We stay at the same hotel for social reasons (coordinating meals, naps, and tours are easier when in same hotel). My buddy has limited funds and he doesn't want to spend more. We both like the larger tower rooms. Next trip I will insist on a better hotel, probably Dream Bangkok.

You may find there are budget Hotels with a much better room. You can state your price range and room size requirements, and ask the forum what hotels are recommended. I had a big room in Asoke Studio for really excellent price a few months back. I think Dream Hotel will be rather pricey compared to some other Hotels available. I have stayed at Dream myself but quite a long time ago. I did not think it was best value for money.

I never heard anyone recommend Ambassador. LOL. I am not aware what price it goes at, so hard to recommend best alternatives.

In general, I don't recommend going on tours at all. Waste of money. Especially do not go to gem shops! LOL Could go to same venues on your own and some are dull anyway. i.e. I think the "floating Market and Rose farm" are silly. Yes I agree. Thai phrases are indirect with lots of euphemisms, and Google Translate just messes it up totally. Thais may even spell words wrong on purpose to be funny. So I don't recommend for people not used to Thais and their language. Fanfinfin has no restriction by nationality. However, it's entirely in Thai language and clearly geared towards the Thai market, so if you don't speak Thai, it's less accessible (but with enough patience, anything is possible). They even have a "/ farang" page, a half-hearted attempt to present what I guess are Farang-friendly girls, but it's still in Thai.

The procedure is simple: browse the site, add the girl to your Line by their Line ID (shown on the site and free). Then, arrange the meeting and activities through there. Some girls might not be able to read / write English, others might not like Farang (usually ask for a higher price, no thanks), but you'll eventually be able to arrange a session with someone. Day 2.
