I will be returning to the Eternal City of Spring for my 4th visit. I had originally planned to try somewhere else (I've been to Cartagena as well) - but Medellin keeps pulling me back!

I'm happy to link up with fellow mongers if anyone wants to meet. I'm staying at a new hotel that just opened. Then Poblado for a couple of days. I was wondering if there are any new / emerging casas / strip clubs that one should look out for (I haven't been to MDE in 2018).

Last time I tried to hit Loutron. But couldn't find it. Could someone please confirm that this is the correct address: Calle 16 a Sur # 9 e-500.

Come on, young looking, is not the same, not at all to mean that. There are many girls, young looking, without sillicone or tatoos, look for this.

I don't know about Bogota, but Cali has more enhanced women than Medellin (and that's saying a lot). Go out to a club and Cali and you'll see lots of women that look like Cartoon Characters with way oversized tits and ass.

Are you sure it is all of Colombia or is it a product of the narco culture of primarily Medellin and partially Cali? I am talking about the enhancements and not the tattos.

You are implying that only under-aged girls have no tattoos or silicon enhancements. You have been in Medellin long enough to know better. I have almost a hundred female acquaintances in Medellin, all 18 and over, and probably half of those have no tattoos or enhancements. Other guys have said that many of them are very attractive.

Medellin is not Cartagena. Years ago, I found a good number of FLs at Mangos, but mixed with 100 more times regular girls out to have fun. If you (we) are not as handsome as handsome Colombian young guys (unlikely), your (our) chances will be low with them.

Beside Bar Gustos, is there any other bar where most of the girls are mainly prepagos. I heard about Bendito seas, but not sure if there is more a normal disco and maybe with just few prepagos.

I remember seen one more on Lleras, not sure if it was something like Hacienda, but that day very few girls where there.

Also for casas that suppose to be more high end, what is recommended, I have not seen comments on Loutron or Candy house, are they worth the price? I am usually looking for young looking and natural girs without silicone and better without too many tatoos.

I would throw a few pesos on my SIM card using ding.com.

You can top it up yourself online using several websites. The one I use is etopuponline. Com.

Undoubtably a good (and obvious) advice. I admit I thought about that only minutes after posting. It is also possible to top up on the Movistar web site. I will do that the week before travelling.

Still, I need to buy a new SIM card for data, to place in my mobile wifi router (MIFI). That's less urgent, but I hope there will be some shop open at late hours in the MDE airport.

When I went on that Pablo Escobar tour, the guide said that it started from chicks trying to impress the drug dealers and get their attention.

I doubt that the guide of Pablo Escobar tours is a reliable source of information about Colombian society. To say the least, he claims what he knows can impress the average participant to those tours. Mr. E, what did you do in such a tour?? You disappoint me! (joking).

Not to digress, but I had to change plans about going to MDE in November due to work. I'm thinking of January. Is that considered low season and less touristy?

January is typically when Colombians go on vacation. No idea what that means for MDE but Cartagena will be packed.

I face the risk to be overwhelmed by a load of RTFFs. Be free to do that. I won't complain. Still I hope someone can shed a light on this with a summary of his knowledge.

I will arrive to MDE airport late at night (22:30). Therefore, even assuming instant luggage delivery, I will be in city not before 23:30.

I have a very old SIM card by Movistar for calls, which apparently never expires (it never did in the last 5+ years, and I never registered it, even with 1 year of no use between usage periods), and I also have a Claro SIM for data only, which I am sure expired already after 3 months out of Colombia.

Is there any place in the MDE airport, which is still open after 22:30, which can top up my Movistar card? And even buy a new one for data? In BOG, I know the booths are open till later, but in MDE?

If not, do I have any chance to do that in town around 24:00? I need to have a working SIM card, to get in touch with a lady (not a stunning one, around 30yo, without tattoos, no silicon, yet one of the most incredible naughty ones) the same night even if I am out of the hotel which gives me the WIFI.

I hear all these guys talking outside by the balcony area of how much the girls want etc etc and now I find myself laughing cause I know better than to pull from there.

Unless I see an absolute stunner that I just got to have. I wouldn't even consider it but it is fun to go check it out and have a drink or 2.

I think we need educate these guys when possible, the information is available for anyone with little effort. But if these guys keep coming and pay the 200 USD at Gusto, then more girls will flock to Gusto and it should have an effect on the rest of the market long term. This could end up in stunners being hard to get outside of Gusto prices range.

I can't see how these two market can co-exist long term (we shall see), where one is asking 200 USD and next door is asking price 200 K pesos. I know the guys paying 200 USD are still an extreme minority and novice travelers, that's why the the market hasn't changed but when the tourist volume to MDE increases I would expect changes to have an effect. Unless guys stop paying those dumb 200 USD we may have a Morocco situation here which was inflated by rich arabs. I can understand that occasional 200 USD where you say I can't find a girl like this anywhere else but that excuse is not valid in Colombia.

The question is are these guys aware of what they're doing (probably not) to their pocket and possibly the market, because stunners are not exclusive to Gustos. If I heard those guys talking in the balcony I would definitely ask them to open their eyes or fly to Paris or London and pay 200 USD and sleep at a 300 USD hotel, there you can live your western life to the fullest and no need to learn spanish, win-win.
