Anyways I see you don't believe in price change but how do you explain other city's in the world that have seen major price changes? Rio and Marrakesh for example.

First of all. I like that. First of all, from a strictly functional standpoint, the difference between a Bugatti and a Ford is negligible, based upon the driving habits and abilities of most drivers on most roads. Of course it's an unfair comparison because the girls in Gusto ate not noticeably better than the girls you can find anywhere in Medellin.

I do believe in price change. Prices are constantly changing. Prices will always change and usually the price will go up. Prices in Medellin will go up. No doubt in my mind.

However, in a city if 4. 5 million, the price point is not controlled by 20 or 30 women. Just like the price Bugatti charges won't raise the price of a Mustang GT.

The price in Gusto has gone up, because it's a point and click environment. Plenty of guys want that simplicity. The club is walking distance to their hotel or apartment. Buy a few drinks, a girl comes over. 15 minutes later he's fucking the hottest girl he's ever been with. He doesn't care about $200.

But it's a closed environment. He's not working Facebook or going after any other segment of the market. What he spends in Gusto only matters in Gusto.

Gusto is one club. On any night there might be 20-30 girls hoping to hit the jackpot there. Meanwhile, there are 50-75 more girls within walking distance who will happily accept 150-200 k.

A handful of people buying Bugattis, has no affect on the price at the Ford dealership.

That's a plastic representation of the "added value" concept from Economics. The same bottle of wine is priced 10 EUR in a supermarket in Italy (country of legendary wines), 50 EUR when you have dinner in a fine restaurant in the same country, Italy, 250+ USD (say 200 EUR) in a fine restaurant in Manhattan. And in Manhattan you also have to add a ridiculous +20% gratuity.

The customer pays not only the content, the same in all places, but what's around that.

I have been to Gustos over 10 x I hang out with a few of the workers there. On a slow night 200 k might be possible but unless a girl is absolutely desperate on a thurs- sat night 200 k isn't possible unless it's closing hours and she is desperate. It costs her 20 k alone to get in.

Even the security guards I hang out with who introduce me to girls I can bang for 150 k from their side of the hood tell me 200 is the norm and some girls maybe 150 usd. This is the thurs. Sat crowd. All other days girls don't pay an entrance and it's not that busy so I'm sure anything is possible.

How do you go from 20 k COP to 200 USD? That's madness. It costs her 20 k COP to get in so she won't go below 600 k COP for a quick fuck? And what do you mean by hang out? You mean these guys sell you drugs and hookers?

I agree, it is a shame that the chicas in Gusto are charging this much theses days. And Yes it is both of our fault, the inexperienced / lazy gringo and the chicas for this problem. I have only payed 400 K pesos once and that was once! She was well worth it and to this day we have stayed friends. I am afraid that it will turn like CR also where ugly chicas are asking Cien and they will expect it or they will get upset and ruin the city..

I've pulled 3 times from Gusto and never paid 200 USD. I also had the one chica who bumped into me leaving Gusto (I was at The Beer Store on the other side of the park) and she was fine with 200 k.

Were there other people within earshot of you? I'm pretty sure there's a group of chicas at Gusto who only do 200 USD and pressure each other.

EDIT: There was a comment earlier about "educating" customers at Gusto. Or at least the dudes who are spending 200 USD. Friendly advise, don't do it. Don't show up to these places and tell customers what they should be paying. It's bound to [CodeWord140] someone off. Either a customer or one of the chicas and that could lead to problems.

I think we need educate these guys when possible, the information is available for anyone with little effort. But if these guys keep coming and pay the 200 USD at Gusto, then more girls will flock to Gusto and it should have an effect on the rest of the market long term. This could end up in stunners being hard to get outside of Gusto prices range.

I can't see how these two market can co-exist long term (we shall see), where one is asking 200 USD and next door is asking price 200 K pesos. I know the guys paying 200 USD are still an extreme minority and novice travelers, that's why the the market hasn't changed but when the tourist volume to MDE increases I would expect changes to have an effect. Unless guys stop paying those dumb 200 USD we may have a Morocco situation here which was inflated by rich arabs. I can understand that occasional 200 USD where you say I can't find a girl like this anywhere else but that excuse is not valid in Colombia.

The question is are these guys aware of what they're doing (probably not) to their pocket and possibly the market, because stunners are not exclusive to Gustos. If I heard those guys talking in the balcony I would definitely ask them to open their eyes or fly to Paris or London and pay 200 USD and sleep at a 300 USD hotel, there you can live your western life to the fullest and no need to learn spanish, win-win.
