The Marriott is somewhat unique--there are two sets of elevators. The first set will take you from ground level up to level 4, the lobby is on level 2. The other set is for the rooms and you need to activate the elevator with your key to go to your room. When the girl enters the ground floor she will be directed to the lobby where she must check in. The receptionist will call you that someone is there to visit--all you have to do is tell them to send her up to your room.

You can also plan to meet on the 4th floor and cross over to the room elevators to continue on to your room. This bypasses the receptionist on the lobby floor.

Read the forum, contact 'Miss K' or 'SexyGirls' -both speak English and will be help you out at gringo price point. This is my first time taking Uber in Peru. I landed and my US internet was working. We got into the gate and it stopped working. Luckily they have 10 minutes of free internet in Lima airport these days. It gave me the Boingo option, but for some reason my Boingo would not log in.

So I contacted the new nurse from Cupid. She said that traffic was bad but she would arrive in 3 minutes. She arrived and said lets walk outside the airport to get a taxi. I said no. I want to try Uber. She said that she was scared of Uber because she was leaving her aunt's birthday party and an Uber driver took all her stuff and made her get out in the middle of nowhere.

Well I fucked up by selecting Uber Pool. (Fucked me up in Manila once too.) For regular Uber it would have been 35 soles to Lince and would have taken like 20 minutes. With this Pool we had to pick up another lady. It is only costing 28 soles, but will take a fucking hour to get to where I am going. So no more of this Pool shit for me. Got into the Uber and rebooted my phone and the internet started working fine. This Uber is an SUV, but why are the seats so close to thre floor? My knees are in my chest.

This chick was so excited that I was coming that she refused to go to sleep last night. Well now she is sleeping in my arms on the way to the hotel. She has to leave at 1 to make it to work at 3. Will have one of my other chicks come over then, or when one gets off work.

The cold Humboldt current comes up Peru until around Huanchacho (near Trujillo, north of Lima) and all the water south of there is normally freezing. That being said, you'll be here in Feb, the hottest part of the year, and I've seen people swimming (or at least in the water) all along the coast.

Didn't know Ancon's beach was popular. I like Huanchacho a lot. Mancora is the best.

That is from tripadvisor from someone that lives in Peru. She is right about the water in Lima freezing. She is also right about Mancora being the best beach. However, from my experience in Colombia I learned that because they say it is the best beach does not mean it is even a good beach by a foreigner's standards that has been to an actual good beach.

Last year I went to Mancora with a girl that I have been messing with for like 10 years. I was going to go scuba diving there, but a lot of reviews did not recommend it. They said the water is cold and cloudy. And this place is closer to the equator than Lima and I would have been wearing a wet suit. When I got there that water was fucking freezing, but my girl got in it, because to her and her countrymen that is the Miami of Peru. They actually had sand whereas Lima has rocks. Most of the people you see in the water in Lima are surfers wearing wetsuits. I don't know if I have ever seen someone in that water swimming or playing.

From Google: South Beach (Miami) sea temperatures peak in the range 29 to 30°see (84 to 86°F) on around the 10th of August and are at their coldest on about the 10th of February, in the range 22 to 24°see (72 to 75°F).

So the temperature of the water in Miami in the dead of winter is warmer than the temperature of the water in Lima in the dead of Summer.

If you are trying to meet someone don't worry about language. Love conquers all! My first time in Peru I did not speak Spanish. I met a chick on that same site and she picked me up from the airport and I stayed at her house. She took me site seeing around Lima. She did not speak English either!

If you have only 1 week to explore and limited on Spanish then you may be better off in a 'point and click' kind of a scene and perhaps in some other part of the world such as BKK. HKG or even FRA. ... If altitude sickness is not an issue for you -see my Quito report and it has a great scene at comparable prices plus there are at least two clubs Habanos and Vibracions where you can point and click without any homework. ... Just wanted to throw it out there so you won't be disappointed in the outcome in case you do go to Lima but have a hard time due to language and logistics issues.
