New Life. I went to New Life on Saturday afternoon. It was my first time there, not sure why. I couldn't believe the number of gringos; the place was packed. I've done a post-Christmas / New Year's trip, twice. MDE then CTG and CTG then MDE. I would recommend going to CTG for the week after Christmas, as it becomes a holiday destination for Colombians and WGs, alike. Then, as MDE picks back up, take a cheap flight. Caveat being, CTG is more expensive, in general, and even more so during high-season / holidays. I prefer having a beer by the Clock Tower (CTG) and people-watching, during slow times, over scouring FB or hopping empty bar to empty bar in MDE, during Finca week. CTG is, essentially, more concentrated for a first-timer or newbie, at that time of year. I prefer MDE, but that week is unique, in my opinion.

When you add the two nights together, he actually got a pretty good deal. I agree he overpaid for the first night, but underpaid for the second. Less than 250 mil for TLN is a good deal.

Here is an overview my impression of the casa scene in centro.

New Life. Seems to be crawling with gringos. Lots of girls but (for my taste) way too many gringos.

Zandalay. Good rooms, decent atmosphere and good girls.

Chicas punto com. Big selection. Always 1 or two worth the visit. Rooms not great.

Dulce Compania. Not a great selection when I went.

New place around the corner from new life on carrera 43 (go out door of new life. Take right + take next right and its 50 ft or so down the st) - worth a visit. One or two gems and nice rooms.

Use the single SIM phone at home and travel with the dual SIM phone. You can just add your home SIM to the dual SIM phone with the Colombia SIM. This way you would only have to use one phone at a time whether your are traveling or you are at home.

Yes, I mean someone else has access to my phone. They can easily see the contact, pictures or know where I work. These are something that I would rather not share with someone I just met.

Christmas Eve and Christmas day are difficult. I only had 2 girls hit me up to see if I was interested on those days. Things were pretty slow around Parque Lleras on those days as well. It didn't help that I was staying in a non-chica friendly hotel those days since my roommate's entire family came to Medellin for Christmas. A few days after Christmas Club Fahrenheit was slow. Less than half full and probably only 15 working girls in the crowd.

The thing is, if you're willing to look, you can always find someone to keep you company in Medellin.

No Sir, sorry. Definitely not. Given the fact, that the 1st (Tue) and the 7th (Mon) are holidays, the business will go back to normal after the 8th of January. But then the girls are in real need of support, hence highly motivated.

It depends on when you go in December.
I always head down there after Christmas and stay until well after new year's and never have a problem. I actually like it because there are not many gringos. And personally, I don't go to Colombia for the gringos, so I try to avoid the places where they hang out. I prefer places where I am the only gringo.

It depends on when you go in December. There are many chicas to be had before Christmas, as most all of them have saved nothing and now need to buy Christmas presents, food, and new clothes.

The week between Christmas and new years can be tough, as many chicas either go out of town with family or stay home If you already have your list, you can find some of them who will come to see you. If you are a relative newbie and do not have much of a list, then it might be tougher. You can always find it, but it may not be as easy or to the standards you like.

Things start to return to normal after new year's. Many of the girls are still on vacation (of course, some of them are on 24/7 vacation anyway). But it's back to reality. The January bills are due. University tuition will be due soon.
